This family-friendly 4BR/3.5BA home boasts upscale furnishings and modern decor across two floors. A fantastic location just 300’ from the slopes, you’ll be at the epicenter of outdoor adventures with hiking, golf, and skiing all nearby. Walk approximately 15 minutes to Adventure Center. For a wide variety of shopping and dining, downtown Truckee is just 6 miles away!
LIVING AREAS
The living area is furnished with a sofa, love seat, and two armchairs. Relax next to the fireplace and listen to the Bose stereo.
The den offers a sectional, gas fireplace, and a 47” TV with Blu-ray. Settle in at the desk area with a book or board game.
KITCHEN & DINING
The well-equipped kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. A big island is outfitted with a wine fridge and microwave, as well as four seats.
Savor meals at the eight-seat dining table. In warmer months, open the adjacent doors to the balcony and enjoy the fresh mountain breeze.
BEDROOMS & BATHS
The second-floor master suite offers a queen bed and deck access. The en-suite bath has a double vanity, jetted tub, and walk-in shower. A convenient half bath is also located on this floor.
Downstairs, a second bedroom has two twin beds, one with a trundle, and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player, while a third guest room offers a queen size bed. The bath provides a tub/shower combination.
The fourth bedroom doubles as a second master suite with a queen bed, direct access to the yard, and an en-suite bath with a double vanity and walk-in shower.
OUTDOOR AREA
Throw a family cookout on the deck. Fire up the grill and enjoy alfresco dining at the picnic table.
EXTRA AMENITIES & DETAILS
A washer/dryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, Pack ‘n Play, and beach gear (chairs, toys, and umbrella) are provided. Parking is available for four vehicles; two in the garage and two in the driveway. Cars must be in the garage during the winter so the snow removal company can plow the driveway.
Private Amenities:
2 passes allow four guests (per pass) to access the Trout Creek Rec Center (pools, hot tubs, fitness center, sauna, and steam room) for a daily fee -- all within a mile. Enjoy access to the Tennis Center (under 3 miles), as well as to the Beach Club Marina (5.5 miles) with water sports rentals and a beach.
Public Amenities:
For sledding and tubing, check out Snowplay or explore the trails at the Cross Country Ski Center (1 mile). In the summer, drive 1.7 miles to the golf course. With over 60 miles of trails in the area, you’ll find plenty of superb hiking. The Equestrian Center is also a mile away.
VIOLATION/EVICTION WARNING
Strict ordinances govern Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. This home cannot be used for parties/weddings/receptions. Max allowable occupancy is 10 people and 4 cars, enforced/patrolled 24 hours/day. Excessive noise or over-occupancy will result in guest fine up to $2,000 (as well as fines assessed against the owner). Failure to observe the NO PARTY policy will result in eviction. This home is located in a sound-sensitive neighborhood and is not suitable for big/noisy groups.

We have stayed in many nice Tahoe Donner houses, but this is, from our experience, the best equipped for guests, esp. in the kitchen. A very comfortable and relaxing stay!

Awesome location for beginner skiers/boarders

We had a great time here! The location is perfect for beginner skiers/boarders - we spent two days with the kids at Tahoe Donner slopes; not crowded, easy to get to from the house and minimal hassle even during CV. The house was very clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the two separate family rooms so kids could be watching TV and hubby and I could chat by the fire. Thank you Ken!

Terrific property, so close to Donner Downhill Ski

The location is of course ideal, just a 5 minute walk to the ski slopes. But even better is the house itself. Incredibly well taken care of, kitchen has everything you need, comfortable spaces to be (and to be apart if you want some space from your group), clean. We were there in the winter and the kids had fun playing in the huge snow piles in the yard. The view of trees out back was trqnquil. And last but not least, Ken, the owner was a delight to communicate with and made the whole process even better.

Comfortable House Near the Slopes

We loved our second winter stay at this lovely house near Tahoe Donner. The home is within walking distance of the ski area, which was perfect for us given we have two small children. We were able to walk to the resort within 10 minutes or so in time for ski school. The house is also close to the cross country ski area, which we visited for snow shoeing, as well as the snow play area. Great natural food store located in Truckee not very far away to stock up on yummy food. The house itself is lovely and very spacious/comfortable. Very well stocked kitchen and lots of room to spread out. We enjoyed sitting in the living room and playing the various board games available. Our girls were in heaven at the house and have already asked to come again next year.

Wonderful family ski vacation!

We loved our stay at this wonderful Tahoe Donner jewel! Super clean and nicely decorated, close to Tahoe Donner slopes, and much more roomy than we expected (and we had high expectations). The kids were thrilled when we walked in, there was plenty of room with 3 full bathrooms (plus a half), a huge vaulted open living room/kitchen, and a separate TV room where they could close the door and watch a movie without disturbing anyone. The two master bedrooms have amazing large beautiful bathrooms with walk-in showers and a jetted bath tub upstairs. And the garage easily fit our SUV with rooftop cargo carrier. The parking lot to the ski area (with courtesy shuttle) is only a few houses down. Owner was very responsive with any questions. Super fun vacation, thank you Ken and Maureen! We will be back!

Great family friendly ski house!

We had our first stay in late Jan 2020 at this Tahoe Donner house and could not have had a better experience. The home is beautiful and has everything we needed for a great winter weekend. I've stayed at many homes in the Tahoe area and this was by far the nicest in terms of amenities and condition. The home is perfect for multiple families and is very suitable for small children as well. The bedroom layout provides for privacy and comfort. The owner was easily available via email and clear with instructions. He provided very helpful information about how to maximize our weekend stay. The Tahoe Donner ski lifts is a short walk from the house and the house has everything you need for fun winter time activities including indoor games for the kids and a backyard perfect for making snowmen. We will definitely be returning with our family again this winter.

Nice cabin in mountain community

Beautiful community almost 1000ft above I-80/Truckee area. Very nice cabins/homes with well-kept streets. This was a well-designed open cabin and easy for the family to enjoy. It is a short walk to Tahoe/Donner ski resort. We had snow at the house for kids to play in right outside the back door. Great up-to-date amenities throughout the house. A short drive down the hill to Old Town Truckee restaurants and shops, as well as stores for supplies. Definitely enjoyed the experience.

We had an outstanding time renting this cabin. Host communicated everything effectively. The house was very clean, even with a group leaving the same day we checked in. House is located a short walk to Tahoe donner ski slopes. Great place for our 6 year old to learn. The house is nicer then the pictures show. With two families, it is definitely larger then needed. Plenty of room with a large kitchen great room. Overall great experience.

The very best vacation house!

This has been our favorite vacation house ever. The house is perfectly laid out for time spent together as well as privacy when desired. We like to cook on our trips and this was without a doubt the best equipped kitchen I have ever found in a rental. Every corner was sparkling clean and homey touches like throw blankets for the couches were abundant. It was all just perfect for our family.

The location of the house was perfect. The layout of the house made it easy with a group. The cleanliness of the house needed some more attention. Cobwebs, dust on fans, bobby-pins in the middle of the bathroom floor (made us think...was this washed?) dirty freezer and dirty dishes in the cupboards. Limited bath and dish towels made things difficult.

2nd stay was a good as the first stay!

We choose to stay at this house again after having a very positive experience the first time. Both the home and the owners are exceptional, and we had no issues the second time. Will be back again next winter. Our 4yr old also had a great experience in the TD ski school which is only a short walk from the house.

Such a treat to be able to walk to slopes ( some green , blue and black slopes) , bigger slopes a short drive away, short drive to shops and groceries, clean and comfortable home with everything you need. Welcome to our mountain home! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. While we are not full-time residents as of yet, we love to spend as much time as possible in Tahoe Donner, Truckee and the Lake Tahoe Basin. Maureen and I were first drawn to this area for the skiing. We have enjoyed the North Shore resorts for many years and have had season ski passes to Squaw, Alpine and Sugar Bowl in the past. After having friends purchase vacation homes in the area, we began visiting in the summer as well and found fantastic hiking, biking, and lakeside activities and events. Finally, we knew we needed to have our own home here and having purchased in Tahoe Donner, have never regretted our decision. We have spent many summers and holidays in our home over the years and continue to enjoy spending our time in our little slice of paradise.
