Whether you are looking for a base camp for your outdoor adventures or a low key spot to relax between wedding events or festivals, we have you covered! Not even one mile from I24 and right off the main road through town, we offer nature and convenience. Book your stay at Moonwakes & Mimosas and discover the wealth of natural beauty our little corner of the world offers. We sit on the edge of Tennessee at the corners of Alabama and Georgia. Our area is known for its numerous caves, hiking trails, festivals, golf courses, biodiversity, breathtaking views, cast iron cookware, football and much, much more! There is something to do and see every season! Stay with us and enjoy your adventures by day and relax in the hot tub while keeping an eye on the grill by night. If your adventures leave you too tired to prepare your own supper, there are many great restaurants where you can dine. There are several within 5 minutes from the house but you can expand your choices even further by venturing out a little farther in any direction. Then, a restful night will have you ready for whatever the next day holds. We have three bedrooms. One with a king bed and another with a queen. The third bedroom houses a bunk bed (twin over full) and a small twin trundle underneath. The living room provides extra sleeping with a pull out mattress in the sofa. Part of our whole house remote management and security includes outdoor audio/visual cameras that capture the perimeter of the house and the driveway. There are no cameras or audio devices indoors or in outdoor living and entertainment areas. These features allow us to provide to you a seamless contactless check-in process. Great stay while playing Sweetens Cove

This is a great house just down the road from Sweetens Cove. The backyard is awesome to just hang out in nature and was peaceful after we played for the day. The house is in great shape and has all the space you need for a small group or family.

Stayed here with my dad and a friend for a trip to Sweetens Cove. The house was perfect. Right down the road from the course and the rooms and layout were perfect for a night after a long day of golf. Would recommend for anyone taking a trip to Sweetens.

Feeling of Solitude in the middle of everything!

Adorable, Adorable, Adorable… I was channeling my inner Marsha Brady with the decor and was amazed at the attention to detail. It was exactly what we needed. Make sure to read the welcome book as they list a lot of local activities and restaurants. The coffee bar has inspired me to create one at home. Absolutely would stay again!

Youth retreat

We took our boys from church youth group who just graduated high school for a retreat weekend. This place was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. The outdoor fire pit & kayaking on the river was awesome. The main purpose of the weekend was to go skydiving (not a church function..😁) & the location was perfect to where we were jumping from (Chattanooga Skydiving Company). Highly recommend this place for a fun getaway & the renters were great to deal with.

Wedding trip

We were in town for a family wedding and this was the perfect place for our family to stay. Location close enough to the main highway bit secluded enough for peace! Ping pong, darts, and air hockey kept the younger set busy, and porch was lovely for morning coffee watching the deer wander out of the woods. Home had everything we needed to feel at home away from home. If we are back in that area we know where we’re staying! Thank you

We came up for a final parents weekend for our Sewanee Senior. This was an excellent Hub, and we found out about the Big Bad Breakfast Nook. All in all, what we needed. Had a fire lit in 2 minutes! Without anyt starter materials.

Comfortable retreat in a convenient location

This house is conveniently located to the interstate which makes day trips in any direction very easy. The back deck was lovely with views of the wooded back yard. The house looks just like the pictures on the listing and it's very comfortable with plenty of space for relaxing. The basement/garage has a ping pong table, air hockey table and dart board. These were great options for the adults and kids during some rainy weather during our stay. We had a minor, unforeseeable plumbing issue but the owners responded immediately and were able to get it corrected very quickly. We had a great week and very enjoyable stay!

Aside from my husband's time in the Navy and a few years living not too far away in Alabama for our jobs, we have had the great pleasure of living in this beautiful area most of our lives. As often happens, what we are most familiar with can be what we take for granted the most. Having spent a little time away and getting older has allowed us to appreciate what a gem we have here in the Sequatchie Valley. This area (TAG ) is the cave capital of the world. We are surrounded by mountains on every side. There is a beautiful river that runs right through town. Because of our vast and lush landscape, we have some of the most biodiverse areas in the world in our county. Our little town supplies the world with quality cast iron cookware and local history is rich with Native American heritage and other fascinating tales. We find ourselves more and more amazed as we realize the unique attractions that reside nearby, many of them are nation and world renowned. Our hope is to offer a comfortable, relaxing base camp for wanderlust filled renters who want to experience our little town and the surrounding beauty. There is so much to explore, you will have plenty of experiences to choose from this stay and still more to come back for later.

Moonwakes & Mimosas is in a great central location. Battle Creek is a short walk out the back from the deck and grocery stores and restaurants are minutes away. If you want to break up your natural adventures with some city life, downtown Chattanooga is just a 25 minute drive. Nashville and Huntsville, AL are also close enough for a day trip at approximately 1 and 1/2 hours away.
