This is honestly one of the nicest VROB rentals that we have ever stayed in. The house was amazingly gorgeous and incredibly clean. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful as well, but within walking distance to a few restaurants and stores. Highly highly recommended!

Loved this place!

This location was perfect! We could walk to eateries and we were 15 minutes from our son. We travel a lot and this is one of our new favs! The house is super clean and has special touches( plush towels, chocolates, fresh water, a notecard and Charleston magnet, freshly cut grass, and the list goes on) to make you feel welcomed. A deck for cornhole and fenced yard for dog. Neighborhood was safe and quiet!We will be back!

This home provides comfortable, "tucked away" feeling both inside and out. It has a vintage bungalow vibe and has thoughtfully updated throughout. The interior design esthetics and accent pieces made it feel like home versus a few rooms to be used. We did encounter a minor problem with the shower fixture, but the host was very responsive in addressing it. Our only suggestion is to consider improving the comfort of the couch in living room. Overall this is an excellent property for both short and longer stays in the Charleston area.

This house was great for our girls trip to Charleston. It was located a quick 10 minute car ride or uber from downtown. The town of Avondale was very cute. Coffee shops, antique stores, wine and cheese bar, restaurants, etc were just around the corner and able to walk to. The neighborhood was very cute with a beautiful church across the street. The house was clean, had a well stocked kitchen and a FANTASTIC covered patio. We loved hanging out on the patio in the evenings. It had a fenced in yard which we all said would be perfect had we brought our kids. The hosts were both so pleasant and helpful with questions we had. They also were extremely accommodating for our late flight that turned into a canceled flight. Thanks to them we did not have to sleep on an airport floor :) I would love to come back and bring my toddler. Charleston was fun!

holiday getaway

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving here. Our son and young family live nearby and came over for the meal. Large kitchen worked well. The covered deck was a bonus for dining and entertainment. Grand dog loved the fenced backyard. Beautiful Charleston weather for walking and biking in the neighborhood and greenway. Owner very responsive to any questions!

Wow! Hidden gem, great hosts!

Amazing location, quite but close to everything; big yard, covered porch, and the place is modern and Uber comfortable. Had a relaxing dinner with 8 guests on porch, followed by a short stroll to a great hand scooped ice cream joint a few blocks away!

Very clean house/ great backyard area

Everything about the house was wonderful. It was immaculate, great linens, decorated nicely etc. the only thing that needs to be changed is the mattress in the master bedroom. We had 4 pretty poor nights of sleep but other than that, the house was great!

We came to Charleston to possibly look for are retired home.

The property was all said it was and even more. My wife absolutely love it. It was a home we would look to buy. The hosts left their numbers to contact them if we needed anything. We didn't bother them. But we'll be back to continue our search. And we'll definitely reach out to them. The property was beautiful.

Gorgeous home in a great central location!

We had a wonderful 8-night stay at this property. It was a great location for our home base as we explored all around Charleston. The neighborhood is tree lined and quiet, yet close to restaurants and shopping (including Whole Foods), plus it's easy to get to all the beaches, plantations, downtown, etc. The kitchen is gorgeous and well equipped (we cooked meals). The house is beautifully renovated and nicely furnished. Beds were comfortable. We especially loved relaxing on the large back porch with the gas fire pit (the backyard is big and private with lots of trees). The heated tile and mirror in the bathroom were great extras. The hosts were fantastic-very communicative. They sent us clear instructions for everything and were invested in us having a great stay. It was easy check in and out with keyless entry. We really loved staying here-felt like home! We highly recommend this property!

Beautiful bungalow!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is beautifully decorated and welcoming, the beds have the luxury feel of a hotel, and the backyard is simply incredible! What a retreat! All of your basic necessities besides food are provided (they even had plenty of Keurig coffee pods for you!). The hosts were gracious enough to put out toys for our 1.5yr old and he loved the open floor plan of the house as well as the huge deck and yard. You are truly 15min or less (and that’s accounting for traffic) from anywhere in Charleston and a stone’s throw or short walk from many restaurants in the Avondale neighborhood of West Ashley. The neighborhood is quiet and cute and we loved the bell tower from the church across the street. The backyard is idyllic and it is the perfect place to relax amidst the busyness of sight-seeing, play games in the evening, or to have a cup of coffee in the morning. The bathroom tiles were even heated which was the most fun and luxurious surprise! We loved everything about staying here and would stay here again in a heartbeat! A simply wonderful and perfect place to stay when visiting the area.

A home away from home

A beautiful home in quiet neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. If you prefer to eat at home, you’re in luck, everything you need is there. Open a few cabinet doors, look in a couple of drawers and you’ll find all you need, just supply the food! This home is immaculate with countless amenities. A fenced in yard for your pet (and guests) a large deck with plenty of seating, TV’s wherever you choose to relax (including the deck), music throughout the house (connect your own source via Bluetooth), 5 star hotel quality bedding, sheets and towels... to list just a few. The bathroom is clean beyond expectations and includes shampoo, body wash etc. Owners Mike and Heather are gracious and accommodating and have prepared and equipped their house to assure a pleasant experience. I’m sure I missed something but whatever it is, expect a delightful surprise. Definitely worth more than the five stars the rating system allows.

This house was very clean. The outdoor space was perfect for our grandchildren and pets to run around and explore. We needed a quick getaway for the 4th of July due the recent loss of our son n law. Your away from the crowds but close to it all, if you want to be. Booking was easy. The owners were very responsive before we booked our stay with a question we had. Southern Charm

From the moment we walked in, this lovely house felt like home away from home. Thoughtful touches like the owners' kind, handwritten welcome note, comfortable bed/ linens, indoor/ outdoor games, extra ice in the freezer, a wine chiller and pretty glasses - the owners thought of it all to make our stay amazing! The neighborhood was quiet and safe - we could walk to adorable local restaurants, take a quick ride to downtown Charleston, or drive to Folly Beach to relax. Our family loved staying here and hope to return again soon!

Avondale Retreat

Wonderful vacation home to get away from it all! Outdoor covered patio with ample comfortable seating and dining area, outdoor TV, and fire pits as well as large tree shaded yard that is fully fenced. This dog friendly home is well equipped inside with comfortable beds, large closets, luxury towels and linens, and open kitchen and dining area with large center island/counter and chairs. There was a 75” smart TV in living room and quaint private sitting area on the front porch. A perfect retreat!

Fall Getaway

We highly recommend this home. It’s beautifully updated and close to everything. Immaculately clean and the fenced in yard was perfect for our two little furry dictators. You won’t be disappointed selecting this rental.
