The house is an old Cordova house completely restored. The house is located in the center of the medieval town of Cordes-sur-Ciel. Right next to the main square, you can stroll through the preserved streets and alleys of the city. The walk is conducive to the discovery of the many local artisans. Cordes hosts many restaurants. It is Saturday morning that the market takes place at the bottom of the city.
The house is at the end of rue de la Bride, just before the staircase of the Passage de l'Olmet. Pass the door (right before the stairs) and discover the patio of the house.
The charm of the house is its main asset. Two large panoramic terraces allow to indulge in farnientė in peace. A small garden is leaning against the house.
The open central patio is a haven of tranquility.
The rental includes linen.
We draw attention to the fact that Cordes-sur-Ciel is a magnificent unspoilt bastide located on a hill. Its steep, hidden streets, steep paths, numerous staircases and natural black stones make it a unique walking site but also a bit sporty.

My wife and I stayed for a few nights. It was too much for the two of us as there is a lot of space. It was worth it. Unfortunately we didn’t have great weather so were unable to fully appreciate the terrace. The only downside is that there was not a particularly comfortable place to sit in the kitchen common area.
Right in the middle of the village, but still very quiet and peaceful in the home. The views from the windows are like paintings and the pictures don’t do the place justice. We have stayed in many VRBOs since 2007, and this one is memorable and unique, and a very good restoration.
Definitely need to have good mobility.
Enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the magnificent kitchen and side sitting area.
We stayed for only one week, and could easily have stayed for a month.
The caretaker has a shop right around the corner and communication was very easy.

Very interesting property
This property is fascinating and an architectural wonder. It is not, however, a place for anyone with balance issues or trouble with stairs. There are a multitude of stairs and step-ups and step-downs between rooms. Also the property needs a thorough cleaning. For example, there's some mold in the showers and on the shower curtain, and we had to wash the protective pillow covers to remove the yellow sweat stains.

I find that you were harsh in your note when you only praised the house... Surprising!
We will take your comment into account for one of the showers, thank you

Cordes
It was a unique and rewarding experience. Property was very interesting but should have been better described in the listing. Lots of steep, exposed stairs, which were not a problem for us but would be for someone with mobility limitations or small children.
The storage areas, under the counter, the closets, need to be cleaned and the buildup of left over items disposed of.
Communications with manager were inconsistent.

I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay in our house. We provide our guests with the usual condiments, coffee, and some essentials like flour, sugar, coffee, tea, pasta, as well as cleaning products, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and toiletries. A welcome basket awaits you, and the beds are made. So yes, the shelves aren't empty, but what a pleasure not to have to rush to the store on the first day and enjoy the house! :)
You are absolutely right to note that there are stairs in our house, which lead to one of the most beautiful panoramic terraces in the city! Our house is in line with the entire city: old stones, charm, stairs, as described in our introduction text - "a bit of a workout." All the photos and videos of the house on our Facebook page, of the entire village high up, on the internet, indeed demonstrate that it's best to have strong legs!
I'm sorry if I couldn't handle the refund of the security deposit on behalf of Abritel, as It was beyond my control.
Wishing you all the best!
This house is quite out of the ordinary, which suits the unique village it is located in. One must be able to climb stairs and the view is well-worth the climb. So much fun to all meet in the large kitchen and bar every morning and evening to share the adventures of the day over a meal we prepared together. Loved sitting on the top balcony for a cocktail as the sun set … watching the sky change and birds swirl and dart about overhead. The bedrooms become quiet as the last 10 o’clock church bells ring in the distance. We slept well and loved exploring the village after breakfast. We purchased lovely fresh vegetables and divine goat and sheep cheese with crusty fresh bread at the village market at the bottom of the hill. The locals are friendly and helpful … in the face of our almost non-existent French. There are beautiful little shops of delicacies to eat, handcrafted jewelry, pottery, ceramics, and other arts and crafts. I recommend a week to settle in and truly enjoy the village. Quite a few nice day trips. Don’t miss Albi, the Toulouse Lautrec museum, local farms are a must, This is a vacation for those who want the fun of climbing cobbled streets, taking in breath-taking views and feeling the magic of a time long ago. One morning as we walked to our car in the parking area we heard opera streaming from one of the top story windows of a village house. It was as though for a moment we were characters in a fairy tale.
If you are a hotel type, who likes elevators, room service etc … this is not your gig but you’ll never know what you are missing!
A small group of us stayed in Luc's property and it was perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. The view from the roof terrace and second balcony are incredible and the house has absolutely everything you need. Parking and Wifi are provided too. Luc left us a breakfast hamper, which was a lovely touch. The bedrooms were decorated beautifully and each had an en-suite. Perfectly situated at the top of the town, we were a stones throw away from lots of local shops and restaurants. Luc was excellent at communicating throughout our stay and in the lead up. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone!
Cosy house with a spectacular view.
The area is very nice for cycling

A wonderful week in a beautiful and comfortable house in Cordes
Very interestingly designed house with beautiful views over the surrounding country side. It is a 12 th century house which has all the comforts of a modern house. The roof terrace is an experience in itself and a large, wonderful private outside space to enjoy the sun and or eat under the shaded area if the sun is too much. All the bedrooms are on-suite and the two at the front of the house have stunning views over the valley. Would certainly return.
