About this property
Beautiful barn, south-facing view, exclusive pool, near Saint Antonin Noble Val
La Grange is a stylish, bright and characterful self-catering holiday home perfectly located for exploring by car, on foot or bike, three beautiful regions of southern France: the Tarn, the Tarn et Garonne and the Aveyron.
Set in a tranquil location outside a rural Occitan village, our accommodation is a modern barn renovation which can accommodate up to eight people in two double bedrooms and two super-king bedrooms (or two double and two twin rooms). Each has an en-suite walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The barn is arranged all on one level.
There is a large open plan kitchen with range oven, farmhouse sink, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. In the same open plan area is a large dining and living space with wood burner for winter nights and a large window and beautiful south-facing views. A television with UK satellite channels is available as is a Blueray DVD and media Player along with plenty of DVDs. Underneath the barn is a storage area for guests' cases, bikes etc as well as a washing machine.
Outside the main entrance is a large, oak sun deck with outdoor table and chairs for dining al fresco with views of the surrounding countryside. The deck overlooks the enclosed, exclusive use swimming pool area which has pool loungers and a pool robot to keep the pool free from leaves. There are also large grassed garden areas to enjoy, a small woodland with plenty of wildlife (deer, red squirrels and birds) and ancient bridle paths to explore. Please note the pool is closed for winter from October to May.
Our nearest village of Espinas is peaceful and quiet and a lovely place to stroll around, but there are no shops, however we are only ten minutes drive from the Boulangerie, cafes, restaurants and shops of historic Saint Antonin Noble Val, a medieval gem on the Gorges D’Aveyron, or if you'd prefer, the quieter village of Verfeil sur seye or the ancient town of Caylus.
Sights and activities in the area:
Medieval market town of Saint Antonin Noble Val
The royal castle of Najac, the castle ruin of Penne and Bruniquel castle
Unspoilt rural French villages
, Cordes sur Ciel, Puycelsi, Castlenau de Montmiral

We live, work, run cycling holidays and self catering accommodation all here in beautiful south-west France. Sometimes we even enjoy the local food, wine and beer!
Why they chose this property
After holidaying in this area we were struck with how beautiful and yet largely unknown this region is. It offers it all, with the dramatic landscapes of the Saint Antonin gorge, the vineyards of Gaillac to the picturesque medieval bastide villages of Cordes sur Ciel, Puycelsi and Najac. With peace and tranquility on our doorstep yet with opportunity to take part in lively festivals, markets and village gatherings, we felt it was the perfect place to to live and raise a family. Our property is in easy reach of all essential amenities and the fantastic tourist sights of the region, yet it is completely rural with only the distant sound of tractors and cows! Our barn has been renovated to a high standard and each room has it's own en-suite making it perfect for shared family, groups of friends or couples wanting to holiday together. And, for when it's hot (and does it get hot!) there's the pool to re-energise in!
