Completely Renovated Custom 4 Season Vacation Property with 53' of Water Front with Large Stone Patio Deck and Dock on the Water. Lake Simcoe in the desirable and exclusive Big Bay Point area - 1 hour from Toronto.

Lake Side and Back Garden boasts a Fire Pit to burn wood and a BBQ that is hooked with propane cylinder with amiable outdoor seating for dining and lounging.
Inside, Spacious Great Room with Custom Wood Fireplace, Large Picture Windows Over Looking Lake Side and Back Garden, open concept kitchen with breakfast table and appliances with a dining room that comfortably seats 8. Full bathroom and 1 bedroom on the main floor with 1 additional full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms on the second story. Separate laundry room with washer and dryer and lots of storage throughout the home.

For family entertainment, Lake Simcoe offers some of the best fishing around, whether during the summer or winter. There are adult life-jackets onsite as well as 2 kayak for your use. Indoors, there are lots of books and games and space to do puzzles as well as a tv with, Friday Harbour has lots of exciting new attractions - restaurants, ice rink, beach, etc. There is also unlimited free wifi at the house.

Wonderful Sunsets!!

We had perfect weather....kayaking was amazing, except for the weekends with the waves caused by many boats in the area. Everyone enjoyed their stay from ages 23 to 8l.

Wonderful family vacation!

Waterfront cottage

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cottage, 2nd year in a row. Perfect access to the waterfront. Location gives you the perfect old cottage feeling yet accessible to nearby necessities. The cottage was clean and host was very prompt with our inquiries. Looking forward to next year.

Everything was great! The weather, kayaking, swimming, and eating! The necessities were provided and the cottage was very clean. The one divided room allowed some to read and some to watch TV. The two refrigerators really came in handy.

Great outdoor space.

This cottage has a fantastic location and the owner is very attentive and a nice guy. Overall, the cottage is well-maintained and clean. While we didn't have AC for our stay, we were told that the owner was putting it in and he did offer to do so while we were there. The only downside to the property is that it is located next to a public boat slip, which can get noisy for the people staying in the master bedroom upstairs. We had very few complaints and would definitely stay here again. The outdoor space is phenomenal and really made our vacation fantastic. Highly recommend this property.

Not too precious, but comfortable

The property is gorgeous. Nice dock with grass up to the beachfront which is a nice bonus for lounging. The outdoor fire pit is stellar and there are more than enough lounge chairs to spend many comfortable hours outside. Water is rocky - water shoes are a must due to sharp zebra mussel shells but that is just the case all over Lake Simcoe. The couches and interior are comfortable. Kitchen would benefit from a few more utensils (cutting board, cookie tray, for example) and downstairs bedroom and bathroom door stick. But the BBQ is awesome and Amit was very responsive. Overall we had a great time.

Cottage life on Lake Simcoe

Our family (ages 1-67) enjoyed a lovely two week stay in this home. It is an older home but has updated bathrooms and appliances and was clean and tidy when we arrived. The house is big enough that our family of 6 adults and two young children had plenty of room to spread out and not feel that we were on top of one another. The real star of star of this property however, is the expansive backyard complete with outdoor seating, dining area, grill, kayaks and lake access. As forewarned, you do need water shoes as the lake access is quite rocky but we were in and out of the water constantly. The sunsets were 5 star as was the stargazing at night! You might want to bring your own pillows and towels as the ones in the house are well worn but generously stocked. We all agreed that if our travels allow, we would return to this home for another stay!

Family vacation

Beautiful property right on the water. The water is shallow which makes it ideal for swimming as the water gets fairly warm, however I do recommend water shoes as there were quite a bit of shells. The owners had kayaks on the property which made for great outings on the lake where we had amazing views. There was lots of different seating options, a hammock and a beautiful fire pit. Inside was big and spacious with different areas for dinning and sitting. Very clean and well organized and it even had a fireplace in the living room. Location is perfect. Super close to Friday harbour where they have a beach, an area where you can rent paddle boards, a few restaurants and a pottery painting place were we spent a rainy day having fun. We even went into downtown Barrie for dinner one night only 30 mins away. Hosts were very nice. We were so happy to have found a place that allowed us to bring our dogs. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a family vacation especially if you have dogs.

Summer 2022

We had an incredible time with the family, the property very nice and the cottage is spacious! When you are on vacation it’s nice to see that all essential are provided and that you don’t have the inconvenience to bring something or go fill up a BBQ tank, it’s all there for you. Close to all amenities, beautiful view and easy to walk in to the lake. The bonus would be sand vs shells. We are looking to book again!

We had a great stay at Amit’s cottage. Good water access, and a lovely property. We enjoyed the kayaks and the hammock. Lakehouse vacation

We were met by our hosts when we arrived. Not only were they very pleasant and helpful, but they had left a gift of wine for us inside. A nice touch for sure. We appreciated the location of the cottage, being right on Lake Simcoe, as well as its proximity to a trendy, up-and-coming resort: Friday Harbour. One drawback was the cleanliness of the property. Some of the cooking utensils (pans, cutlery, and glassware) had been put away with obvious dirt still on them from previous usage. In addition, there was a nasty, fish-smelling remnant on one of the shelves in the secondary fridge. Outside, there was some miscellaneous garbage in the kayaks and on the lawn, but nothing that could be easily cleaned up. On a more positive note, we really enjoyed the spacious yard. The front yard had ample room for our family volleyball and badminton matches and the backyard afforded us room to spread out, have a campfire, enjoy sitting in the sun or shade, grass or on the dock. There were plenty of rooms inside for our family of 5 to each have their own space for both sleeping and lounging. The garage gave us ample room to store our bikes which we used to tour the quiet neighbourhood or visit the local country store. There was tons of parking for our 3 vehicles which was a bonus for sure. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for your family's vacation needs.

A Beautiful View For Relaxation with Family

Amit is a great host and makes the check in process simple and he is easy to communicate with. Our family stayed here two years ago and had a great time. The added central air conditioning unit was a very appreciated addition. There is plenty of space for family and we had a great time inviting family for a BBQ. Backyard is spacious with plenty of table space, chairs, and an amazing view right by the lake. Plenty of recliners to sit by the water and a long dock to paddle board and enjoy the water. I recommend.

Great family cottage getaway.

Great property and location on the water. Cottage was well equipped for outside activity; lots of chairs for around the fire and along the lake; canoe and kayaks with life jackets; and badminton set. Bbq was set up with full tank. And there was lots of firewood for us to use. The inside of the house was great and spacious for our family of 8; no one felt cramped. Kitchen, dining and live room areas were quite spacious. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed. Beds were a bit hard for us and as it is a dated cottage style property; the mustiness was hard a bit for a couple of us with asthma. We turned the AC on and it helped with the dampness. Our host was great and kept in contact with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall the experience was great and we would recommend it.

Great property, great host!

Lake view was gorgeous, cottage was spacious, ample parking, all supplies provided, laundry was handy and we appreciated the fans in every bedroom. The privacy fence was great as there is a small boat launch beside the property with minimal activity. No need to leave the cottage - the view, water, outdoor fire pit all contributed to a great week for our family and friends! Amit communicated with us proactively and pleasantly and even assisted with a last minute issue we encountered - very helpful and pleasant. Thank you Amit - we had a wonderful vacation at your lakeside cottage !
