About this property
Frogie Cottage, the natural beauty that is Northeast Michigan!
Frogie cottage is a rustic cottage with modern comfort. Perfect for family stays, 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms. The cottage easily sleeps 8 with use of the sofa bed. This is a child and pet friendly location.
The whimsical frogs are everywhere, and you can’t help but smile. But the real attraction is the peaceful relaxing feel of the cottage nestled among mature trees. Step outside and enjoy a private picnic area complete with fire pit, picnic table and park style grill. Walk down to your private lake frontage and enjoy the use of your dock. Take a pole and see what you can catch. Or launch on an adventure, a canoe and three kayaks are included for use at the cottage.
Lost lake is in a group of small inland lakes that offer wonderful fishing. Species of fish include: pan fish (blue gill, sun fish, rock bass, black crappie), small mouth bass, large mouth bass, northern pike and perch. In addition, you can enjoy swimming and boating on the in-land lakes…or, Lake Huron is only 10 miles away…
A Great take off spot for fishing, water sports or any outdoor adventure:
State Land in every direction, enjoy hiking, hunting fishing or exploring.
Ocqueoc Falls – 18 min: The largest falls in the lower peninsula. And you can swim in the falls!
Hoeft State park – 25 min: Beaches, swimming, trails, Cross Country Skiing
Knaebe's Mmmunchy Krunchy Apple Farm – 20 min: Donuts, Cider, Pizza and Hard Cider!
Rogers City – 20 min: Has several parks including a pavilion, playgrounds, a fossil park, fishing dock, free ice-skating rink and skates! Access to the Herman Vogler Nature area and Huron Sunrise side Bike trail. Home of the worlds largest Limestone quarry and the deep-water port of Calcite. Freighter watching! Check out harbor view and Quarry view.
Golf – Rogers City Country Club, Rogers City - 15 min.; Thunder Bay Golf Resort, Hillman - 20 min. ; Black Lake Golf Club, Onaway - 30 min.
Light Houses: Explore three nearby light houses and view a Fresnel lens on display in the heart of downtown Rogers City.
While in Rogers City you can shop at three exceptional meat stores…Rygwelski’s, Nowicki’s and world-famous Plath’s Meats! Sausage and meat tastes like heaven cooked over the fire or on the grill back at the cottage.
ATV's Yes! And there are miles and miles of trails nearby, just waiting for you to explore! You can also travel along the shoulder of the county road.
