Vista de la Luz: Oceanfront 6BR Villa on Isla Mujeres with Pool, Dock and Staff

Isla Mujeres is currently not experiencing issues with Sargasso.

Vista De La Luz is an extraordinary 6 bedroom, 9 bath modern villa. Direct access to the Bay of Cancun, a 17-meter suspended infinity pool, a private dock and palapa, open views of the Bay of Cancun, and the lights of Cancun across the water.

The house sits on a hillside with four levels. Two queen suites sit on the top level with private terraces. The street-level entrance has an onyx bar, a king room, and a two-queen room. One flight down: kitchen, living, dining, the pool, and the Studio (two doubles plus an optional trundle). A gourmet kitchen and spacious living area encompass the bottom floor of the main villa opening onto a 17 meter suspended pool with its water flowing over an infinity edge, seemingly into the Caribbean below. The pool house under the pool is a separate king suite with a living area and ensuite bath. Sleeps 12 in the base rate.

A small sandy beach, a dock and stairs lead into clear, waist-deep water. Playa Norte is about 10 minutes by golf cart.

Friendly local staff are on site Monday through Saturday, 8:30am to 2:30pm, for a home-cooked breakfast and a full house clean. No staff on Sunday. We meet you at the villa upon arrival. Golf carts, a private chef, airport transfer, snorkel, and massages are easy to arrange.

This house is absolutely amazing. The view and infinity pool were extra perks. Ron and Gabriel were very responsive to any of our needs. The house staff and daily breakfast was awesome as well. We love Isla and definitely look forward to staying here again. The only drawback is that it has a lot of stairs but this was not an issue for my family. Wonderful property and looks even better than the photos!!!

We traveled with 4 families (8 adults and 8 kids) and everyone had enough room. The house is absolutely spectacular! It’s in a great area of the island where the water always seemed calm despite the northern winds coming through. The water was crystal blue and everyone loved swimming off the dock and using Kin Ha’s super fun water activities. We plan on coming back to this house in the future for sure! We still cant believe how great it was to have Ruben, Victoria and the rest of the amazing staff there to help cook breakfast and keep the house looking neat and tidy! We were spoiled! Highly recommend!

We loved this property so much! The floor plan allows everyone to have space and privacy, but the outdoor areas and kitchen/dining spaces allowed us to all come together comfortably. The views were spectacular and the location was perfect. We spent most of our time on the dock in and out of the perfect water! The staff was so gracious and the morning breakfasts were a highlight. So many delicious restaurants were right nearby, and we used a golf cart to go to a few more across the island. We highly recommend this property and are already looking to return.

The perfect place for our annual girls trip. The breakfast and housekeeping daily made it possible for us all to completely unplug from daily hassle and the beach club right next door assured us easy enjoyable days filled with cocktails, tacos and water sports. The main road around the corner has wonderful restaurants and a cute coffee bus. Our night in town on our rented golf carts was a fun addition but not a must, we booked a catamaran one afternoon and headed to playa Norte by water and it was spectacular! Isla Mujeres we love you!

Gorgeous home, incredible views, great location!

We've stayed in this home multiple times and it's in a gorgeous location near the end of the south part of the island. You're right next door to Casa de los suenos, with access to the pools, restaurant and bars. The pool at the house is large with the best view on the island. Rooms are as advertised and the staff was incredible all weekend.

This house ended up being perfect for our group. It had gorgeous views and was set up perfectly for a large group. Access to the ocean and the pier was wonderful, too. We like to eat breakfast in playa Norte, so we did not use the staff except for one day, but they were so sweet and the breakfast was great!

Don't know how to even capture how fantastic this house was. This was our first visit to Isla Mujeres and we are hooked. There were 11 of us total ranging from 5 to 75. The house worked perfectly to ensure everyone had their own space while also having a lovely open kitchen and dining space for us to socialize in. The pool area was serene and comfortable. The private beach and dock area was beautiful and it was so wondering having both a pool and beach option. We even got pulled into a volleyball game at Kin Ha for a bit!Gabriel and his staff were amazing. Gabriel met us at the house to walk us through. The daily breakfast was tasty and fulfilling. Make sure you ask for the homemade pico and guacamole. I could have eaten the pico every day. You will not regret choosing this house.

House was beautiful and location amazing. Lots of stairs but for anyone that doesn't have a mobility issue it's kind of nice because there;s a lot of privacy. Only issue is that both neighbors are hotels that have very loud music playing MOST of the time. Fun to hear during the day and evening but a little much in the evenings.

Great stay for 3 families traveling together.

Our families really enjoyed our stay at Vista De La Luz. There were 12 total in our party and we had plenty of room for our group. The included breakfast was great and it was nice that the main dining table was large enough to accommodate our entire group. We also liked the location. It is the quieter part of the island, but there are several restaurants a short distance away and grocery stores 10 minutes or less on the golf carts. We also enjoyed drinks and a few lunches at the beach club adjacent to the property.

Unbelievable.

I could not recommend this house more. The staff was amazing with everything leading up to the planning through our stay. They helped coordinate a fishing trip which was the highlight of the trip for several of us. Anytime, we had a question or a concern it is was quickly addressed and resolved. The pictures of the house and the view do not it justice. We would happily stay there again next year.

Wonderful in every way!!

We stayed at Villa De La Luz for my husband’s 40th Bday trip w friends and loved every minute! The staff was wonderful- helpful and courteous. The views can’t be beat, the home itself is clean, big, and beautifully decorated. We did not want to leave!! We only left to go down to the pier/ocean and to make grocery store runs. We were so happy being there w the cook and bartender! (We hired those separately). Ron was easy to work with and we are all still talking about the trip and how perfect it was. Would highly recommend!

What a beautiful property with everything we needed. We are a diving family, and used the gold cars to get to the scuba shop each day, although they did pick us up at the dock in front of the Kinha restaurant a few times. Speaking of Kinha, the fact it is next door made our trip even better, as it allowed us to set or get drinks without traveling. The staff there was incredible, showing up at just the right time each day, but never seeming like they were in the way. Breakfast was served every day for all of us, and they didn't bore us with the same menu each morning. Ron, the manager, was always available when needed and without delay. The grill wasn't working properly, but was fixed while we were there. If we ever come back to Isla Majeres, this is where we are staying!

Epic Birthday!

We were on this trip for a milestone birthday with a group of 13 adults and had the best time! There are very few houses on Isla who have a view this incredible. And being next door to Kin Ha beach ended up being a convenience! The house staff made delicious breakfast each morning, and Gabriel was on hand each day for whatever we needed. The access to the ocean and the ability to walk into that beautiful blue water was one of the highlights! We did have a few issues - AC in one room stopped working, no sound from house speakers, kitchen supplies - but were able to get those rectified very quickly. If I had a true complaint it would only be around the cleanliness of the pool. That definitely needs improvement. Overall I’d recommend this house and would consider staying here again.

We had a Blast!!!

We had 2 families stay together. One (extended) family of 8 and another family of 5. 4 adults (2 couples), 1 grandmother, 8 kids ages 4 thru 15 (the majority between 11-14). We had an absolute blast. The property had plenty of space. The bedrooms / kitchen / dining area were nicely air conditioned while the rest of the house was open air. The infinity pool was great. The breakfast served daily by the staff WAS AMAZING! Gabriel was there to meet us when we arrived and promptly resolved all (very minor) maintenance issues that arised. The island itself was fantastic. Food at the restaurants was so fresh and delicious! Golf carts are a must! Such a great / convenient / easy way to go everywhere on the island. The beach bar next door is also awesome - has paddle boards, kayaks, volleyball all available as well as food/drink at the restaurant. Island itself is super laid back / casual. Ron and Mel were super responsive pre-trip with emails and a very helpful / informative phone call as we had lots of questions since we had never been to Mexico before. Would HIGHLY recommend this house and Islas Mujeres - WE HAD A REALLY GREAT TRIP!!!

Family and Friends - 50th Birthday Celebration

We were excited about this property before arriving and it by far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely go back Gabrielle, the property concierge was always available and on property every morning to help coordinate golf cart rentals, tour excursions, private chefs, questions about the facilities and island suggestions. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. Breakfast was always different but consisted of eggs, beans and a form of meat. There was also toast and tortillas, fruit, yogurt, granola and hot sauces. The staff of 4 cleaned up before and after breakfast and kept the house spotless. The Kin Ha resort next door was a big hit with the kids and the food was amazing. It's easy to access by walking through the water and they allowed our kids to use their toys such as the kayaks, paddle boards, water trampoline, dock swing and water volleyball court. The internet and cell service was better in certain areas but it was never a problem. The house is multilevel with many different seating areas and views which allows you to separate yourself without leaving the property. This was handy as we had 6 kids and 6 adults. We also had friends staying next door who would come visit during the day. Being on a small island, our 15-17 year old kids loved the freedom of having their own golf cart to explore on their own when they wanted to. The island pretty much shuts down around 10pm they couldn't get into too much trouble. Same goes for the adults.

Upscale Paradise

The property is located on the southwest end of the island, which is much calmer and gave us breathtaking views of the Cancun skyline. We arrive by water at the home's private dock (Arranged by Javier at AGI Tours). What a glorious arrival. Pictures do not do it justice. The home was magnificent. Luxury on every level. The common areas, as well as the outdoor spaces and bedrooms, were furnished with quality and comfort. One thing I always look for in a vacation home is the seating for meals. We are a family of 10, so finding a home that can seat us all together is sometimes a trick. But the main dining table not only fit my entire family it was an architectural focal point in the open concept kitchen/dining room. The photos online do not due this area justice either! This property was the perfect size for everyone to have their own amazing bathroom, with 2.5 extra bathrooms to spare. The home is located at the end of a street, so there was no extra traffic or noise. The house manager was fantastic, he checked on us daily and even arranged for the golf carts we rented to be at the house when we arrived. Highly recommend reserving your carts early as well, the best way to get around the island. Having a thorough cleaning staff and delicious breakfast every morning was also such a treat as well. Can't imagine topping this property, location, and service. We just have to come back again next May! If you are considering this property, stop your search now and secure your dates!

Incredible house for large families

Traveled with my extended family to Isla. We typically stay on the north end of the island, but decided to rent a house. We love being on the north end, but it has gotten so busy over the past few years, it was actually nice to be away from the craziness. Ron & Mel were very responsive and answered all of my questions prior to our visit. Gabriel was there to meet us and checked in every day. At our request, we had golf carts waiting for us upon arrival. They might have been a little on the high end pricewise, but it was worth it to be able to jump on and go as soon as we got there. We used Javier at AGI travel for the transfers. We were unable to be dropped off at the house like we had hoped due to the water level or the size of the boat they used for us, but they had taxis waiting for us and did a great job. The morning breakfasts were amazing! All the rooms were very nice, with private (very nice) bathrooms. The pool was amazing. Air conditioning worked great. We had ages 12-82. Everyone absolutely loved the house. Highly recommend this amazing property. The only thing I would mention for those who might be traveling with someone older who doesn't get around well, I was a little caught off guard by the amount of stairs in the house. It was a little stressful having my 82 year old father, trying to maneuver them constantly. This was my fault for not paying more attention to that detail, knowing his condition. Again, incredible property-great vacation!

Great place but with caveats

This is a great place with beautiful views. We had a great time. However, some things should be addressed and known before booking. 1. The biggest thing should be obvious but if you are booking this property, there are a ton of stairs. They are mostly travertine and can be slick with the humidity dripping off the doors and windows and wet feet. We had several people who have a little trouble getting around and it was a little treacherous. 2. The property is right between 2 resorts/bars with loud music. Luckily most of the island shuts down around 10 or so and the rooms are fairly sound proof but the music is loud and invasive and might not be ideal for all crowds. For me, it was okay but some of the older individuals in our group didn’t care for it. 3. The pool house has a very musty smell for those who are staying in there. 4. There is only 1 TV in the entire house and it’s in the living room. Again, not a big deal for me but the older people who didn’t want to go to the beach with us every day got fairly bored without having access to TV in their rooms which also leads to my final critique. 5. The internet is terrible and only works in the living room area for the most part. You can forget about it in the bedrooms. I know that seems like a lot of critiques but we had a great time and if these fairly minor things won’t bother your group, I highly recommend it. The private dock is great and there’s some fairly good snorkeling to be done around it.
