Located in Tahoma, this charming 3-bedroom cabin on a little over half an acre of forested land offers the perfect escape for your Tahoe getaway. You'll be greeted by a cozy living room with a crackling fireplace, perfect for snuggling up on chilly evenings. There is a corner desk for your laptop next to a bookcase of books all about Tahoe: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the bears, the history, and the fables.
The fully stocked kitchen is a chef's delight, featuring a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and all the necessary appliances to whip up delicious meals. Enjoy your meals at the dining table, or step outside to the deck.
The front bedroom is perfect for a family with an infant or toddler, with a crib, room-darkening curtains, and storybooks for bedtime.
The middle bedroom has a library of books and a desk in case you need to work.
The back bedroom has a sliding glass door to the back deck, a queen-size bed, a set of bunks, and a rack of movies appropriate for young children
We have a very walkable neighborhood! It's a short trip to:
* Tahoma Market and Deli for wine selection, great sub sandwiches and groceries you forgot to bring
* The Dog and Bear restaurant for fine dining or pizza
* Where we met, a gelato stand in summer and coffee shop in winter
* A post office to send those postcards of Tahoe
* Sugar Pine Point State Park, with the mansion to tour, a lovely beach, gift shop and lovely lawn.
* A pier across the highway where you can catch a sunrise over the lake in the wee hours.
* Marie Sluchak Community Park with a playground, a par course, BBQ pits, a stage, auditorium seating, and a dance floor where you can catch a local band or watch a movie in the summer months.
* Trails all all around the West Shore
* Paved bicycle paths along Highway 89
When you're not exploring the great outdoors, enjoy the cabin's array of entertainment options, including a smart TV, a DVD player, a sound system, and a selection games for adults and children alike.
Freshen up in the two bathrooms, complete with towels and basic toiletries, and feel free to use the in-unit washer and dryer.
Then there is the yard. The cabin sits on 4 lots - three of them covered with trees, and in the winter, with plenty of snow for kids and dogs to romp and play!
Just a short 30-minute drive from Palisades Tahoe and a 12-minute drive to the stunning Emerald Bay State Park, our cabin is perfectly situated to allow you to explore the best of the Tahoe region. For a day of relaxation, head to the nearby Meeks Bay Beach, just a 3-minute drive away, or walk to Sugar Pine Point State Park with its lovely beach and a lovely mansion from a bygone era. And return this winter to check out the x-c tracks in the campground that connects to the Desolation Wilderness and the Tahoe Rim Trail. With amenities like free Wi-Fi and an extensive library of books about Tahoe, this cabin has everything you need for a comfortable and unforgettable Tahoe adventure.
