I wanted to like this rental, but the entire place was filthy. The showers were moldy and the whole house smelled like mold. Most of of slept in the guest cottage to avoid the stench. The lights on the patio were burned out so we put a new light bulb in one of them. There were a lot of beds and it had a beautiful view on the water with a cool fireplace. It had a lot of potential, but the mold and the stench gave everyone a lot of concern, but we didn’t really have an alternative once we got there. We cleaned up everything the best we could. The bathrooms were very limited and we had to bring our own body wash, shampoo, soap, etc. The towels were all beach towels.

We are saddened this stay did not go well, we obviously want all our renters to have a good experience. We have a professional cleaning company clean the cottages between each stay, and they have gotten good reviews (see review from Stanislav T
Fri, Aug 09 – Sat, Aug 10, 2019 for property #1346508). We have not heard of a mold concern previously, but would like to re-emphasize the main cottage is historic. We do provide lots of towels, both bath and beach. We do not provide toiletries.
