Casa Bonita Royale - water views from all windows - walk to the beach

Casa Bonita Royale is a quiet community on Big Hickory Pass, a wide channel which opens out directly to the Gulf of Mexico. Tidal flows bring all kinds of sea life past the glass sliding doors, including osprey, eagles, dolphin, pelican, egret, terns, gulls and more. Watch the sunset from the sundeck on the 2nd floor which faces west and offers a view of the ocean. Bonita Beach is 200 feet west of the front door and has beautiful shelling and bird watching opportunities. Modern refurnished condo with all new appliances, tile flooring, leather furntiure, bathrooms re-done, completely re-modeled and refurnished in 2015. The heated pool is accessible with no stairs and provides chaise lounges to watch the wildlife in the channel. Beach chairs, umbrella and towels are provided.
Our condo is on the ground floor so no elevators or stairs to climb. New hurricane glass sliding doors and windows make for a more private environment, as they are sound proof and also reflect the outside light so no one can see inside. The building construction is solid concrete providing for security and privacy. Sound does not transmit from adjacent units. Casa Bonita Royale is located on a cul-de-sac off the main branch of Hickory Boulevard, so there is very little traffic, making access to the beach simple and safe.

Casa Bonita Royale condo association has stipulated a one month minimum rental period. Accordingly, your reservation needs to be for the month of January, or February, or March etc. Rental periods are for full months only, so please consider that.

Great Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo for the month of March. The condo has a well equipped kitchen, plenty of bath and beach towels and beach chairs and umbrella! We were not sure if we would like being on the first floor, but it was convenient getting to the beach and pool. The view of the bay was nice with lots of boat and kayak traffic. One dolphin was very close and entertained the boaters and us. We would stay at this condo again if available.

Pretty and clean. Beds were comfortable. The beach is just across a quiet street, not an inconvenience at all. Pool doesn't get much sun in January but it is heated and was enjoyable. We would stay here again.

Owners are a delight to work with. Everything we needed was there for our stay. The kitchen is very well equipped. Appliances, washer and dryer seem new and work well. Beds, pillows and extra soft blankets! Pool right outside the door with grills and picnic tables. Dolphis swimming in the canal. Beach right across the road. Restaurants close by include Docs, coconut jacks, Fish House and Doug's Seafood. Enjoyed coffee shops, Skillets and Trails for breakfast. Would love to stay again!

Property is in wonderful location. Spent many afternoons watching dolphins in the canal. Right across the street from the beach. Good walking in the morning too. Con is apartment is a little dark all day, hard to open the blinds because it’s on first floor and everyone passes by and looks right in at you. Other than that, nice building.

Thanks for offering a review of your stay. The location offers safe and easy access to the beach and extensive views of nature. We have never felt that having the blinds open compromised our privacy as there is a screened porch that shields the view. As a happy coincidence, installation of new hurricane rated windows and sliding glass doors is scheduled for this summer, which in addition to having a reflective coating that mirrors the outside view, will provide for a quieter and cooler interior.

Perfect location!

Well-kept, cozy two bedroom condo with all the comforts of home. Great view of the bay and only steps from the Gulf. Located just across the street (easy to cross) from the beach with private access. The owners are very responsive. Lots to do in the area, including paved walking paths, eco kayaking, boat rentals, near Lovers Key State Park. We are coming back next year!

Lovely condo for a relaxing holiday

We stayed for a week in this lovely condo and had a very relaxing holiday. It is light and airy and beautifully clean. Well decorated throughout and very well equipped with everything we needed.It is quiet at night and we like its position on the ground floor near to the pool and overlooking the backwaters.The pool is a good size and heated (we swam every day). The fishing from the dock was excellent and we spent an afternoon watching two dolphins chasing the fish in the dock. A very relaxing condo with the beautiful beach just across the road. We hope we can return again soon.
