Welcome to beautiful Captiva Island, Florida, and paradise! The lovely Sunset Captiva #34 vacation rental home is located in the private, quiet, community of “Sunset Captiva” across from the pool and the beach boardwalk. The community is centrally located on more than 6 miles of spectacular beach on the Gulf of Mexico. There is a pool, dock, two tennis courts, and a recreation area complete with gas grills and picnic tables. It’s also conveniently close to The Village and the finest in dining, shopping, and recreation. This is a place that is great to walk and explore.
Parking is limited to 2 cars. No boats or trailers are permitted.

Minimum Stay One week (Saturday to Saturday)
All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include, but are not limited, to a 4% credit card / debit card convenience fee and $255.00 cancellation fee (plus applicable tax).
Cancellation Policy You may cancel your reservation up to 120 days before arrival and your payments (excluding the reservation fee and applicable tax) will be refunded. After this date, no cancellations are allowed and no refunds will be made.

Special Rules & Regulations Maximum permitted per house: two vehicles parked, one boat at the dock. Dock space is strictly through Sunset Captiva regarding space and availability, and separate from the rental and any fees associated with the rental of the home. Motor scooters and motorcycles are prohibited in the Sunset Captiva community. Read the Sunset Captiva Homeowners Rules and Regulations, Dock Rules, and Pool Rules.

Nice stay but house needs updating

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in Sunset Captiva every year for past 35 years so I know almost every three bedroom property in the community. Number 34 is a true three bedroom that is large. It is fine but really needs some updating. The furniture in the living room is worn and there is not enough seating. There are family picture ALL over which is just a little odd for a rental. The master bedroom bed is only a queen and was extremely uncomfortable. The upstairs loft has two odd old lounge chairs with a tv. And again tons of family pictures. Better furniture or adding a pullout couch would be a much better use of the space for a family rental. The porch is very large but rugs are old and moldy and the shades are so old they don't work. All in all with just a little work this house could be made much better and on par with other three bedroom rentals in the community.

We absolutely love 34 Sunset Captiva - it has everything you want and need for a Captiva beach vacation! The house is spacious, well-supplied and has a great selection of beach chairs! The cart was a great addition this year! Additionally, Albert with American Realty was incredibly responsive, attentive and generous! We can't wait to come back again in 2025!

Most relaxing week ever!

We have stayed in Sanibel before and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we decided to check out Captiva and we are so glad we did. This house is perfectly located in Captiva. All the shops are a short walk away-we hardly ever used the car. The house was VERY clean-we’ve been staying in VRBO properties for over 10 years and this one was clean, clean, clean. There’s was sufficient beach gear-we didn’t need to rent anything. The umbrella actually worked! The beach is probably 125 yards away down a nice boardwalk path. The beach is private to the community so there is no pressure or crowding. If you run out of libations-10 minute walk from the beach to hit the local store and you’re back in business. YOLO water sports has rentals and parasailing literally right down the beach. They had jet skis, kayaks, a Hobie Cat etc. The house itself is nicely laid out. Not too many TVs which is fine for us. The TV in the living room was a nice unit with Netflix, Disney etc which was quite nice. Beds were comfortable and linens were good quality. Kitchen actually had sharp knives-that’s a 1st for us in a rental. We plan on returning next October if it’s available. I kept thinking-this is the place I would buy.

The house was comfortable, great lay-out with plenty of space for our family of 4 (2 teenage boys). We enjoyed everything about it - the screened-in porch for morning coffee, the deck off of the master for star-gazing, the on-site laundry, as well as the community pool, tennis courts, and grill. It's a very short walk to the gorgeous Gulf, and to restaurants and shops. The property is well-maintained and clean. As far as accomodations go, we were pleased all-around.
