. This house is only 5 minutes or less from the DOE site known as the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Also Centrus, DUF6 Plant, SOCCO, and Softbank Projects. So very conveniently located to these worksites. We host many work crews here are year long as well as some vacationers or passerby's.


Whether you staying for work or for pleasure the place is well suited to make yourself at home.

Even though you are situated in a rural peaceful area you can still get to Wal Mart in 15 minutes.

We have installed a new concrete drive with parking so as some of the previous comments noted the gravel drive was difficult to maneuver. This has been resolved 100% with new widened drive with concrete and concrete parking area at the top.

Many area attractions: Public hunting and fishing, biking, boating etc... Pike State Forest, Scioto Trail, Pike Lake, Lake White, Brush Creek State Forest, Dogwood Pass, Longs Retreat, Canal Trail, Buckeye Trail White Gravel Caves, Lucasville Trade Days and Flea Market, County Fairs and many others. Conveniently close to Scioto and Ross County as well.

Location is slightly remote but there is some cell service. Your still only 10 minutes to dollar

House sets up in the woods on a hill, if you have more than two vehicles , overflow parking is available at the bottom right side of drive gravel overflow. 3 normal size vehicles is max parking. No trailers or heavy equipment trucks. 3/4 ton trucks are fine but nothing larger.

The owner has equipped the rental with amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we cannot refund monies or relocate guests due to any of these (TV, VCR, DVD, gas log fireplace, jetted tubs, small appliances, etc.) not working or malfunctioning. No refunds will be made for acts of God, loss of electrical power, water, air conditioning, or cable outages. In the event of a mechanical failure, we will make every effort to have all reported malfunctions corrected as promptly as possible. All our properties are privately owned.

We supply enough consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, laundry det, trash bags etc...to get started. If you have multiple guests, long stays, or use a lot of these items be prepared to bring your own or pickup at one of the local convenience stores nearby as we do not restock during the stay.

There are 4 beds plus futon and couch.

There is a duplex with tenants sitting on the same property so drive is shared however you have your own space including 2 decks and backyard to yourself.
outdoor smoking is fine, just place butts in container.

The house is 40+ years old so there is normal wear. If your expecting a new 5 star resort or if you are hard to please I suggest booking one of my other newer places that are obviously priced accordingly. My guests are very pleased and know its a value. Its very clean and easy to make yourself at home.
