About this property

Walk to Starbucks and Whole Foods. Enjoy Townhouse and Artwork

Cute and fully remodeled townhouse. Two bedrooms plus an office/den with a hideaway bed that could also serve as a third bedroom. Beautifully furnished. You will enjoy the original artwork and fine art prints. 4 television sets and full cable service. High speed Internet. Garage will fit 2 medium size SUVs. Location is convenient to shopping, freeways, golf, gym walking trails and within walking distance of Starbucks and Whole Foods.

House is located near Albuquerque Academy in the very safe and much sought after Bear Canyon Neighborhood. It is very quiet neighborhood and most of the residents are retired. It is the type of neighborhood where people own the house for 20 years + or keep the house for more than one generation.

The neighborhood is extremely safe. We recently had a guest park a new SUV in the driveway for 6 months without issues.

Near golf courses, gym and great hiking and cycling. 20 minute ride to old town.

You will have to be careful to keep your eyes on the road when driving by the amazing view of Mt. Sandia as you approach the house.

House and garage are directly connected and can fit two medium size SUVs. With a 2005 Pathfinder (188 inches bumper to bumper fits) in it there is a good 3 feet to spear between the rear bumper and the garage door. Height of garage door is 80 inches. You may also park vehicles in the driveway. Contact us if you need exact dimensions of the garage.

Recently a guest was able to back in a 4 door Ford 150 with about 3 inches to spare. So it really is borderline for a full size SUV.

High speed Internet. Internet is listed as 400mbs download and 12mbs upload. Cable.

In a recent test on a Sunday afternoon on a mobile phone we got speeds of 435mbs next to the modem spreading out to 165mbs in the far corners of the house. The upload speed was rather consistent throughout the house from 11.6mbs to 12mbs.

In over a year we have only had to reboot the modem twice. So you can see it is very consistent Internet.

We charge $40 pet fee short term stays and additional fees for stays longer than 5 days. 50lb max.

Better than a five star hotel
The house is lovely, the neighborhood safe, the host remarkable. We stayed two weeks and had everything we needed for our comfort. The artwork is gorgeous. None of that rental kitchy crap on these walls. The kitchen is well stocked. If it's not there you don't need it. My fave--a set of quality, sharp knives! Better than a five star hotel--you have a garage, kitchen and laundry in a great location. I hesitate giving this review only because it will be booked the next time we want to visit. First time in years I've wanted to return to a vacation rental. This exceeds it's write up and your expectations. Oh, did I mention the Spa robes?

Book it!
Best place to stay!!! Close to airport and Balloon Fiesta Park and grocery stores. The host was very detailed and very accommodating. He asked what we liked to drink and found our favorite beverages in the refrigerator . Allowed for a late checkout due to our flight time. No need to bring mayonnaise, ketchup, etc… all condiments were available . If you are on the fence about booking this place I hope this review helps make your decision. BOOK IT!

So we welcome all of your feedback, and especially your complaints, about this property. Jeff hosts the "New Thinking Allowed" channel on YouTube. Lewis has his masters degree in Chinese linguistics. Why they chose this property

We chose this property because of the location. You are very close to all sorts of convenient shopping (Walmart, Smiths, Whole Foods, Starbucks, Keva Juice, UPS Store, and much more). Also, the Albuquerque Academy -- with lovely running trails -- is just a few blocks away. It is a relatively short drive drive to Old Town or to the Balloon Fiesta Park or the University of New Mexico. The Bear Canyon neighborhood is peaceful, cheerful, safe -- and is generally regarded as one of the nicest in Albuquerque.
