 The Freestanding cottage Has A own kitchen, 1 bathroom, living room, with amazing views.

 There is a spacious bathroom, a kitchenette, and a cozy living area .the bedroom is comfortable with a king-size bed double bed. The bathroom is ensuite. (We have a baby cot available for a child aged about 2 years). In the whole cottage Floor heating ...

Coffee and tea are always available, similarly the usual herbal.
The beds are made and bath sheets, towels and kitchen towels are included,
2 bikes are included in the price! You can use oure May ook kanoes if They are not used.
In this beautiful area you can spend hours bobbing on the water.
The many cycling and hiking trails start from your cottage. with it's cute historic villages,
Bicycle and walking routes are present. Also many other area information.
with a private veranda lying right near the waterfront with open view over the countryside and next to the canal That leads straight into the nature and cute villages!
The village is just 15 minutes from Amsterdam and 15 minutes from the famous fishing village of Volendam or Marken with his beatiful in style built houses.
There are 2 golf courses nearby
There is public transportation 6 minutes in waling distance from your cotage ....
Or how about a visit to the cheese market in Edam or a trip the Zaanse Schans, with its old windmills, ... this breaks That All close near our village Broek in Waterland.
Within 15 minutes you are in Amsterdam .Amsterdam Has A lot to offer, magnificent architecture, stores and boutiques. ook visits the many museums we recommend the Van Gogh Museum, the Maritime and the Anne Frank house.
In the village are a Pancakehouse and 2 other good restaurants.

Traumhafter Urlaub

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich super. Wir haben vor allem den Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse, die ja direkt am Kanal liegt, sehr genossen. Es ist dort so eine friedliche Idylle, wenn man in die Ferne und in die Natur blicken kann.Traumhaft. Auch die Lage im Ort und die Anbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist sehr gut.Die Unterkunft kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Ideal Spot for Exploring

We stayed for almost two weeks and found this to be an ideal spot. The hosts were extremely helpful and extremely kind. The cottage is a beautiful little home on the canal. What a restful spot. Another great thing is the ready access to everywhere else. Within half an hour we coulb be in Central Amsterdam. When we got tired of the bustle, we were only half an hour away from peace and calm.

Sejour enchanteur

Situé en pleine nature dans le village de Broecke in Waterland à seulement 17 kms d’Amsterdam. La terrasse donne directement sur la rivière et les champs où s’ebattent de nombreux animaux (moutons, lievres, oies sauvages, cygnes,canards...)Un petit paradis.

Nice and friendly cottage

Strongly recommend for North Holland. Friendly owner, a great view from the sofas, safe parking lot and all what you need for a nice holiday. Easy with the bus to Amsterdam, nice natural surrounding, perfect bicycle tours and great small villages easy to reach. Thank you for the great visit.

Wundervolle Tage

Das kleine Ferienhäuschen liegt sehr idyllisch und doch so nahe an Amsterdam. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit dem Bus sind es tatsächlich nur 15 Min. bis ins Zentrum von Amsterdam und die Busse sind eng getaktet. Auch wenn man keine Lust auf den Trubel der Stadt hat, kann man in der näheren Umgebung vieles entdecken und unternehmen. Lia und Georges sind sehr freundliche und unkomplzierte Gastgeber.

We Loved Every Minute

The property is absolutely gorgeous, there is a separate kitchenette/sitting room with a STUNNING picture window and views of the water and farm and the animals. We especially enjoyed our daily visits from the swans and ducks. George and Lia were amazing hosts and so helpful! We would love to come back soon! The location is idyllic and close to the city. Gem in the Countryside

What a lovely gem we discovered!! It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing to come back to each day as we explored Amsterdam and the surrounding area. House was very cozy and comfortable with beautiful views of the local canal and farmland, so serene to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee taking it all in. The hosts were absolutely amazing, respecting our space but warm and friendly and willing to go out of their way to help us find bus routes to places we might like to visit and offer suggestions too, which were great. We hope to return again sometime to experience the region in a different season and this is top on our list as a home away from home base. My deepest thanks and gratitude to them for making our stay so lovely.

Outside the city

We found this place to be a great location. Easy access to the city via bus. A great little grocery store close by. Our hosts were very helpful and provided information based on our interests. We explored north of Holland on the two bikes that were available to us. Holland is beautiful place to explore. We would definitely recommend this place to stay. The house is very spacious with a beautiful kitchen and sitting room facing the water. It is located in a very quiet area.

Lovely, little place outside Amsterdam. Leia was a wonderful host, very helpful, even walked with us down to local market and helped us shop! Walked with us to show us where local restaurants and shops were.

An amazing week in Broek in Waterland

Very nice apartment, with everything you need and more. We had a canu and bicycles at our disposal, which we enjoyed very much. George and Lia were always very kind and willing to help.

Spectacular place near Amsterdam

Everything about this cottage is wonderful. You are just a short bus ride to Amsterdam (nothing compares with the ease of the Dutch transit system), yet you are right on a canal with a gorgeous view of farmland and a long, long view to the horizon. The town itself, Broek in Waterland, is one of the sweetest in all of Holland and has two excellent restaurants. The owners of the property, George and Lia, live in the house next door and are two of the nicest people you will meet. We really can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is.

Tolle Tage in Broek in Waterland

Das „Häuschen“ ist sauber, gut ausgestattet und hat eine tolle Lage, direkt am Kanal. Ideal für 2 Personen. Die Umgebung ist für Radausflüge prima geeignet. Tolle Radwege in alle Richtungen, auch nach Amsterdam. Der Ort selbst ist auch sehr schön und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundliche, nette und hilfsbereite Menschen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt, George und Lia

4 weeks in Holland

This was a wonderful stay. Lia and George were great hosts and very helpful. The area was peaceful and a nice reprieve from the city. My favorite part was sitting on the deck and watching the sheep and geese. The deck sits right on top of the canal, it’s private, so the sounds of the water and the wild life made it that much more serene. Using public transportation, it’s an easy ride to Amsterdam, the airport, and other parts of Holland. I visited Haarlem, The Hague, Delft, and Rotterdam in my time. I also went to the beach a couple times when the weather was nice. Lia and George were wondering and welcoming. I arrived at a great time and got the chance to meet the baby sheep and watch the sheep getting sheered. It was an incredible and unforgettable adventure.

Immer wieder gerne

Uns zieht es immer wieder her. Liebenswerte Gastgeber, ruhige Lage mit phantastischer Aussicht. Wenige Minuten mit dem Bus nach Amsterdam oder Volendam. Sehr gut ausgebaute Radwege. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wunderbares Waterland

Ein wunderbares Cottage direkt am Kanal, auf der gegenüber liegenden Seite des Kanals die Schafe, Ziegen und Pferde der äußerst netten Gastgeber. Sehr idyllisch. Viele schöne Örtchen in der Umgebung sind auch mit dem Fahrrad gut erreichbar. Schnelle Busverbindung nach Amsterdam.

Ich liebe es

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier hin! Das Häuschen ist super gemütlich und wir fühlen uns hier unfassbar wohl! Die Gastgeber Lia und George sind absolut freundlich und hilfsbereit! Da sie beide aus waterland stammen, kann man sich viele Infos und Tips für Unternehmungen einholen! Beide sind sehr fürsorglich und fragen stets ob alles in Ordnung ist! Ich liebe einfach alles dort, die Menschen,die Landschaft und diese Ruhe wenn man draußen auf der Terrasse sitzt und einfach nur das Leben genießt!

Wonderful stay in Broek

We had an amazing time - the location is great for bike or bus trips to nearby towns, and the commute into Amsterdam is really easy. The family is wonderful and being on the canal was really nice and relaxing. Would highly recommend this stay!!

Perfectly Peaceful

Lia and George's cottage is located directly on a canal, on a quiet street in a pretty village. It is conveniently located close to the bus line which will get you to Amsterdam's Noord Station within 10 minutes. Plus, it is an easy drive from here to Volendam, Edam, Zaanse Schans, Keukenhof and so much more. Our stay was perfectly peaceful ... we loved being surrounded by nature, watching the ducks and swans swim by, and keeping an eye on the sheep and horses across the canal. We had everyhing we needed in the kitchen, the bed was very comfortable and the sitting area was cozy. George and Lia are very friendly and super helpful! They explained the public transit system, gave wonderful advice on places to visit, eat or get groceries, and helped when our rental car needed service. They are the perfect hosts! If you enjoy nature, country living, getting away from the hustle and bustle (but not being too far away from the action), we would highly recommended staying at Lia and George's cottage!
