About this property

The Potager's house

The house of Potager welcomes you in a walled garden of 3000 m² planted with fruit trees and roses. Renovated in 2018, the house (78m²) has 2 independent bedrooms each with their bathroom and a large living room with a fully equipped kitchen. All overlooks the garden and meadows in a quiet, preserved and authentic.
The house is next to another house The Orangery, also available on the site, and located 30 m from the Potager.
It is also possible to book an additional independent room located just behind the Orangery. It is equipped with 2 beds (90 x 200) that can be joined and has a shower and separate toilet.

An independent laundry common to both houses has washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

In the large garden that opens in front of the house, tables and chairs are at your disposal as well as bicycles.
A charcoal grill is also available.

The village of Vérigny is typical of the region: You can walk or bicycle in the woods and meadows in a very preserved environment. The nearest supermarkets are in the villages of Fontaine (5 km) and Chateauneuf (10 km). The city center of Chartres, pedestrian, offers many restaurants and shops as well as cultural activities.

Located 15 minutes from Chartres, it is easy to visit the city, its cathedral and enjoy the aquatic complex The Odyssey. The castles of Maintenon, Villebon and the Chapel Royale de Dreux are nearby.

Had a very enjoyable stay in Potagers House. Lovely location and the property was very comfortable and a quaint property. The garden was a great added extra with loads of space and quite private. Would recommend it.

Perfect stay

The cottage is in a great location in a small hamlet within easy reach of Chartres. It was fully equipped with everything needed. We enjoyed cycling around the countryside with quiet roads and lovely small villages nearby. We had a very nice time.

Yet another amazing stay

This was our 3rd time as guests of Pierre and Sophie, though our 1st stay in the Potager’s house (we have stayed in the Orangerie twice before). As we have come to expect, the cottage was perfect! From the layout to the decor and appliances, everything has been carefully thought out and is of a very high quality, and both bedrooms have en-suite wet rooms which is ideal.As for the garden and surroundings, it it peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed sitting under the weeping willow tree listening to the birdsong. As a place to relax and unwind, there is no better place. Pierre and Sophie are charming hosts, always on hand if you need them, and we look forward to our next visit!

Venu à Chartres pour une visite commentée de la Cathédrale, nous avons prolongé notre séjour pour profiter du cadre et de la météo enfin devenue clémente. Le Potager est allé au delà de nos espérances avec des hôtes charments qui ont équipé et décoré ce lieu avec gôut et qualité.

Très belle maison pour week-end au vert

Nous avons passé un week-end prolongé dans la maison du potager. Charmante maison, grande pièce à vivre et formidable jardin. Des petits plus très appréciés : mise à disposition d'une chaise haute et d'un lit parapluie. Je recommande vivement et y retournerais avec grand plaisir.

Excellent!

We had a very nice week in this comfortable house with our two children. The house is charming, the beds are excellent, the kitchen has everything you need. Our children played a lot outside in the large garden. The owners are really kind and helpful and we felt very welcome. In the surroundings there is a lot to do and see. We made trips to Chartres, beautiful historic city. Even to Paris which is about 75 minutes by car. Chateau de Maintenon, or one of the other chateaus in the environs. We definitely recommend this house!
