About this property

Sunset Ski Inn, a quaint cottage located in Lower Moonridge and walking distance to the ski resort shuttles. Perfectly renovated in all the right ways though leaving the important original aesthetics of a vintage mountain cabin. Walking up to the home you are greeted with the perfect porch for sipping coffee.

Entering the cottage, to the left is the quaint kitchen with all the modern fixtures, including a rough edge granite countertop, a drop in farmhouse stainless steel sink. Cook a warm meal on the cute vintage stove/oven. The kitchen is also equipped with a microwave, Keurig coffee machine and an apartment size stainless steel fridge/freezer combo.

The dining room area has a farmhouse style table with a view right outside the front window. Moving into the cozy living room area, there is a wood burning Swiss fireplace and a large sectional sofa with a Queen size sleeper bed. Watch your favorite movie on the large flat screen TV that is also HDMI compatible. Stream your device on the homes WIFI.

Off the living room area you will find the newly renovated restroom with modern fixtures. To the left is the master, with a King bed and flat screen TV which is also HDMI compatible. There is also a Roku device.

The back patio is the perfect setting to relax in the mountains. With a propane BBQ grill and hot tub.

Birthday Getaway

The cabin was cute and cozy. We love big bear. The property management company never responded to any of my messages prior to arrival. Had issues with the flute to the fireplace which was not fun and had the alarm blasting for a good hour. A hotel would have been much nicer of a stay for a romantic getaway.

Cozy Cabin

We loved our stay in this adorable warm cabin!! I highly recommend this place. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable- the linens were high quality! It was super clean and a perfect size for a couple! I would book again for sure!

Quaint Cabin with Jacuzzi

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is very small with a mini fridge, but it's perfect for our 2 night stay. Pros: - Great location - Jacuzzi - Comfortable couch/bed with TV streaming services - Good size for 1 - 2 people max Cons: - Didn't provide extra towels for jacuzzi so we brought our own (was told beforehand to prepare) but just more to pack while on vacation - No cell phone reception, but good WiFi - Hot water ran out after 1 short shower - REQUIRES you to do the dishes (hand wash, dry and put away), take out all the trash to designated dumpster (drive to), empty fire place... AND you still have to pay $120 cleaning fee. I definitely think the cleaning fee should be lowered since we did all the cleaning besides washing the laundry. Overall, it's a cute small cabin and I would only stay here again if it weren't so expensive or they didn't add so many fees on top.
