A short concrete steps will lead you to the beach with many activities such as shell-fishing, kayaking, etc. During summer, the water temperature is suitable for swimming right in the Hood Canal water.
Twanoh State Park is just couple minutes walking-distance away for quick water access. If you purchase a license, you can harvest shellfish at the State Park. The beautiful Hood Canal is blessed with some of the warmest water in the Puget Sound and Twanoh State Park is one of them. It is also famous for its delicious clams and oysters. A short drive (5 minutes) will get you to the Alderbrook Resort in Union. You can enjoy the golfing, fine and casual dinning, spa treatments, live music during the summer on weekends. And, Naval Base in Bremerton just 25 minutes away. Golfers can play at any of the 4 championship golf courses all within 15 minutes of distance.
If you opt to explore Olympic National Park, starting from this house can make the trip very pleasant.
There are several places to dine in the home. The dining room seats 6, the kitchen nook seats 4. You can also choose to dine on the deck too with BBQ.
In addition to the gorgeous summer, autumn is also the perfect time to visit Belfair - from wine tasting and fall festivals, to hiking, boating and biking. You can trek to Twanoh State Park (just by the doorstep) and nearby Thelar Wetlands for the wonderful fall foliage.
During winter, you can enjoy the snow-peaked mountain views by the fireplace. The wood-burning warmness can make the glistening snow much enjoyable.
