Eric and Jenny are the BEST! From the beginning they were excellent with communication and made us feel welcome in their home. They even left a welcome bottle of wine, thank you E & JAn iPad was left behind and they were so kind to travel from the Seattle area back to the island to get it and then mail it to us. I have never had such great owners to rent from, ever, and I book a lot of rentals all over. We loved the house, exactly as described and the island is beautiful. Thank you E & J for welcoming us into your home.

Lovely stay

Well stocked from shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, to cooking oil and spices in the kitchen. Lots of little touches to make our stay nicer. Beautiful location!

Great trip

Great spot for our family trip to escape the central Washington heat for a week. Our kids loved the pool and I loved the trails and beaches. Very quiet and well kept community. Would love to come back.

Amazing location and home

We had a great time on a last minute getaway! Plenty to do for two little kids and very relaxing for the adults. The house was clean and comfy as well! Definitely want to return!

Lovely weekend stay

We had a very nice time at this home in a gated community on Harstein Island. We were able to hike, bike, kayak, dig for clams, make smores on the fire pit on the beach, and swim in the ocean water. Very age appropriate for elementary children.

Perfect family vacation

We had an amazing time on Harstine Island and staying at this property. They have all the amenities anyone could need. We all enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, movies, and seeing the deer wherever we went. My son wants this to be our summer vacation spot from here on out! Thank you homeowners for opening up your home to us!

Perfect place for our weekend ceiebration

We have a family cabin on Harstine but it’s just a little too small for all of our family. Your place was a perfect addition! Clean, well stocked, with a huge deck, BBQ grill and kayaks and bikes to use. The house stayed blissfully cool on a warm weekend too. We'll definitely rent again!

A little slice of heaven

Beautiful well equipped property in a quiet location but still accessible to Seattle by local ferries. Sitting in the hot tub when deer wander aimlessly by. We'll be back!

Great quarantine get away

My husband and I wanted a little get away to celebrate our birthdays. We had a lovely time hiking around the island, enjoying the hot tub, and just hanging at the comfy house. We were lucky enough to have sunny weather and enjoyed mountain views on our hikes! The house and property were wonderful and just what we were looking for in a covid safe weekend away! Thank you!

Quiet and relaxing weekend getaway

Enjoyed the peacefulness of the surroundings. Community was friendly and respectful. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, catching up on some favorite shows on the comfy couch and loved hanging out on the beach. On our 2nd night we were treated to a pod of orcas looking for dinner. This was our first trip to Harstine Island, hoping it won’t be our last.

This little cabin was impeccably clean, extremely well-stocked with all the necessities, and had a lot to offer! A great value for the price! The kids loved being able to ride bikes, play pickleball, and swim at the pool. We brought a lot of equipment with us like camp chairs, beach towels, and toys that weren't necessary as the cabin provided it all. We also enjoyed the hot tub, the many board games, and a camp fire and smores on the beach in the provided fire pits. The sunset against Mt Rainier was beautiful! The only comments we'd offer for future renters is that public access to the beach is a fair distance away by foot. We assumed from the map that it was closer but it requires driving if you have little kids or anyone with mobility issues. The shore is rocky and the water is cool, not really the "beach" experience we had anticipated, but we still enjoyed it! Also, remember to take the provided access card with you when venturing outside the community as the host isn't always available to buzz you in the main gate.

Hi AnnMarie, Thanks for your feedback. There is not a check in form that we require the firm we sent you was just the Pointe information and rules. The instructions are pretty clear, you just buzz at the gate. We send full check in instructions and have a book with the information at the house as we stated. Additionally we email a reminder with the highlights. We pride ourselves on our communication. The kayaks are there for your use by the water with a map and pictures on both the website, welcome letter and at the house. Our house is on island in a wooded natural area of the Northwest, there is a lot of wildlife as stated in our instructions. This includes deer, racoons, whale, seals, insects, even an occasional cougar, so seasonally there are mosquitos etc outside. If doors are left open they may come inside. We also supply bug spray, citronella etc all labeled for our guests in the closet. When you emailed about the kayaks I was responsive. We are always available for follow up questions and calls but we never heard from you after that. We take our hosting duties very seriously and work hard for our guests. I hope you enjoyed your stay!

What a hidden gem!

The Harstene Point community is a fabulous little getaway in a gorgeous location. Great beaches, great walking and running, and not nearly as busy as places like SunRiver. A quiet, relaxing vacation. The house was small but sweet and perfectly functional. I think the only thing we could have wished for would be some window fans to help cool us down at night in the 90 degree heat. The house stays cool during the day but it was a bit hard to sleep without some air stirring in the Master.

Property was clean, welcoming and full of amenities.

We loved our stay. The house had many amenities and was very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint is that there weren’t any paper towels and an oyster knife would have been handy. We weren’t able to access the bikes below the deck either. The clubhouse was also great and my kids were able to use the pool, hot tub, and basketball court. The home was cozy and we enjoyed the DVD’s, making s’mores, and playing board games. The beds were really comfortable and the living room was spacious. We would come back in a heart beat!

Thank you for your review Nany, I'm so glad you loved your stay! We fell in love with the island when we vacationed here ourselves a couple years ago and knew this was the perfect vacation home. I'm so sorry there were not paper towels, I can honestly say that has never happened before. Our cleaners are the best in the area and usually there are plenty. We even keep an extra costco size package in the closet. I like the suggestion of an oyster knife we've added one to the kitchen. As far as the bikes we keep them in an accessible spot covered from the rain so I'm not sure why you couldn't get to them, we checked to make sure they are all there ready to go. A beautiful, quiet getaway!

House was as described, located conveniently for walking around the point to enjoy the beaches and park, plenty of space for our family of 6 to spread out during the evenings, kitchen/dining room were perfect for cooking and enjoying meals together, and rooms and sleeping arrangements were great. We didn't use the hot tub but a great perk for the cooler months! The deer visited our yard often and the kids enjoyed that very much. Massage chair was a hit with Grandma! Plenty of games and entertainment for the entire family. Our host was also very responsive when we needed to contact her about a minor hot water issue and the issue was resolved. Great stay!

Wonderful Time

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this property. The pictures just don’t do it justice. The house is very cute, comfortable and nicely appointed with everything we needed during our stay. We had fun walking the roads and nature trails in this community. Heard barking seals playing in case inlet, lots of hummingbirds and deer. The hot tub was clean and wonderful to relax in. We have been thinking to buy property in this community and it was great to experience it first hand. Would love to own here and/or visit again when warmer to take advantage of the kayaks and beach more. Olympic Bakery was a fun outing, the sandwiches, baked goods and ice cream are amazing. Was just what we needed to relax and celebrate our 20th anniversary and spring break.

Fun getaway!

This was our 3rd visit to this property. It is warm and homey feeling and is in a perfect location. The large living room has plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and be comfortable. It's so peaceful there we didn't turn on the TV once during our 3 day stay. We spent a lot of time down at the beach, and walking the trails. We did get there 15 minutes early so tried to enter with our code but it wouldn't work. Check-in is 4pm sharp unless you make other arrangements. There were a few minor things that we addressed with the owner on our way out so that she was aware of them. It is a lovely place to getaway and we do plan to go back.

Bright and clean home in the woods

We were thrilled to have found this little gem. Jenny had great communication before we arrived and even let us know we could check in earlier. The house was spotless upon arrival and a basket of wine and s’mores fixings along with fresh flowers awaited us. We loved how bright and updated everything was. It didn’t have the musky, damp smell and feel that a lot of these rentals in the woods tend to have. The hot tub worked perfectly and our entire family loved it. There were also ample games, a decently stocked kitchen, dvds and automatic reclining sofas which we all also loved. We hope to be back during the summer to make the most of the water activities and warm weather. We had a great time!
