Charming Condo on Sugar w/ Access to Clubhouse

Relax to the sound of a babbling brook from the balcony of this beautiful condo located at the base of Sugar Mountain. Just a short drive to golf and tennis and within walking distance to the ski slopes, this condo features a fully equipped kitchen, stone fireplace with gas logs, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a bathtub with jets. This unit will sleep 6 with a King-sized bed in the master bedroom, 2 Twin beds in the guest room, and a Queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living area. Enjoy access to the Branches Clubhouse where you may relax under a big-screen TV, read from the collection of books, or join in a game of foosball or ping-pong. Non-smoking. No pets allowed. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign their rental agreement within 7 days of booking.

Great Sugar Trip

The location of the condo was perfect! The pictures are very accurate; the property was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked which made it very easy to fix meals. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely try to use it in the future.

Beware of the Trolls.

We stayed at The Branches 8. The condo is old but had the basic necessities we needed for a ski weekend. It IS 100 yards from the slopes but many, many steps which about killed us lugging equipment up and down with 2 small children. The condo itself was ok for us, we are easy to please. However, there is a couple just below Branches 8, that live there and soon after we arrived they were yelling at us from below and banging on the ceiling which was the floor of our unit. The man soon after, came to our door to complain to us that we were too noisy above them. I was apologetic to the guy because I'm not a confrontational person. I thought it was rude of him as we were only getting settled in. We are not partiers, but rather grandparents there with our daughter, her husband, and grandchildren 3 & 6. We tried to step around lightly and reminded the grandchildren who were constantly scared the "mean" man would come back. We went on about our trip but when we were packing our vehicle to leave, the woman came out and began acting like a crazed mad woman yelling at us and insulting us. I don't understand why they would want to make their home in a rental ski community, on the bottom floor no doubt, if they are so sensitive to noise from coming and going. I mean, come on, ski boots are not quiet to walk around in. If you rent this unit beware of the bullies beneath you. They have cameras too as I'm sure they are worried they will eventually tick off the wrong person, or already has!

We are very sorry for the bad experience you had while staying at the Branches. I can only imagine how it negatively impacted your trip. While the couple in the unit below you were owners and not renters, we certainly would have tried to come up with a solution if we had known there was an issue. We would never expect homeowners to behave in this manner. We will certainly report this to property management.

Good location but not quite the feel we look for in lodging

We enjoyed our stay here. It's close to the slopes, has a good view, and management was very nice in person. Would we stay in this particular condo again? No. Would we rent from management again? Yes, now that we know what to expect. It's a no frills, clean overnight lodging. To start with, the process to book the lodging threw me off a bit. I've never had to sign the VRBO contracts and then also received a whole new set of contracts to sign directly from the property. I did inquire how close to the slopes it is because we have young children. They informed me it was about 100yds. They declined to mention the 100 stairs to get there, which with all of our gear and kids wasn't fun. Also, they are pretty stingy with amenities. They provide a very specific number of toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. If you need more you have to go buy them. We had 1 roll of paper towels for 4 days with young kids... If your towels get dirty, you clean them and you have to go buy detergent. We planned to pull out the couch for our kids. They left sheets for us but no blankets or extra pillows. I guess we're supposed to bring those too. They did have the towels folded pretty and soap in the bathroom. We were planning to leave Monday morning and enjoy our last evening in the condo but the beds are so uncomfortable we left Sunday night. I found them very firm and thought my husband would love them. He thought they were terrible too, as did the other couple with us. They also left early. The twin beds are lag bolted to the wall, so this lodging is inadequate for two couples. Usually you can move twin beds together but not here. The condo is older, as many are in this area. We are fine with that but found mold in the bathroom that appears to have been there for quite some time and also a moldy smell, which is strange because it's the top floor. There were some other little things that were annoying but those are the big ones. We appreciated the outdoor gear closet, but there's no lock so we brought everything in at night. This lodging served our purpose of giving us a place to stay while at Sugar Mountain that is close to the slopes. However, they do nothing to give you a friendly warm welcome feeling that so many other places try to provide. I don't know if this is a management thing or an owner thing.

Memorable family trip!

We loved our time at Bee Branch 18. I took my mom and two little ones for a long Labor Day weekend. The weather was beautiful and the condo was exactly what we needed after full days of hiking and swimming. The location is also fantastic and so convenient to everything.
