My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. It is a very comfortable, quiet and clean home. It has a great backyard and the location is perfect to walk into town and the driving distances to many distilleries is ideal.
This sweet home was perfect! It was clean, charming, in very close to all that Bardstown has to offer. The beds were super comfortable, the house was well stocked, and the hosts were easy to communicate with.
perfect location in bardstown, close to downtown, nearby restaurants and distilleries. quaint house, with 3 bedrooms. no shower up stairs, but owner in process of renovating basement, and has 2nd shower downstairs. comfortable beds, good size living room and kitchen. gazebo in back, ...definitely need bug spray.some minor maintenance needed, and prevous guest right before us unfortunately smoked in the house, but otherwise would stay again.
The Cottage in the Rye was all that it was advertised to be. Quaint, great location, lovely back yard patio, a fun place to stay. We were there for a family reunion (Hurst, Brown and Bryant families) and the cottage met our needs fully.
My wife absolutely loved this house. It's a beautiful older house and very well furnished with a lot of bourbon décor. We were 6 and had plenty of space. Great location just a few blocks from downtown Bardstown.
Comfy, cozy, and easy walking distance to downtown!
My sister and I stayed a few days with our adult sons on a Mom/Son trip. This location was perfect; and easily walkable to downtown. The large living room and kitchen provided comfortable spaces for just hanging out together. The separate dining room is great for breakfast in or playing cards. The house is well stocked with the essentials. We'd definitely stay there again.
Place was roomy, clean, and neat. It was a pleasant surprise to see the basement bathroom refinished with a stand-up shower! Woohoo! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Loved the roominess of the place and feel of a great older house. Great location for most of the tours. Would definitely stay again!
House was very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Bardstown square (4 1/2 blocks). Beds were very comfortable and has everything you might need. It is a very old house..so be prepared for some small bathrooms. Overall a great experience.
I would definitely recommend this cottage if looking for a place to stay in Bardstown. Great location, walking distance to food and square. Great location to drive to distilleries around Bardstown. We had 4 adults, my husband and I and my mom and dad. Plenty of home for 4 adults, 2 couples. Two good full bathrooms, one on main floor and one in basement. We were able to have each shower run at same time as we all tried to get ready in morning with no problems, we had space to get ready without being in each others way. Good living room and kitchen to hangout with each other. Ashley, the host, was great. We had a question or two and she was quick to respond.
Had a great time at this cottage. Older home but very cute on the inside. Lots of room. Nice new bathroom in basement. Great location. Can walk into town easily.
Be aware that one bedroom upstairs does not have air conditioning. It does have a ceiling fan which helped in extreme heat.
Outside of the home could really use some sprucing up, e.g., pressure wash, paint, weeding. There is a nice size back yard which would be wonderful to use except it was very overgrown and not inviting.
Cute, very clean house in a great location. We were able to walk to town easily.. everything was perfect! We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area. Very highly recommended.
Great little house in the heart of all that is bourbon. Literally a 7 minute walk to downtown Bardstown and right in the area of all the distilleries. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Basement will be a nice addition once its finished.
We just fell in love with this cottage. It was perfect for our stay and the location was amazing. Ashley was extremely easy to work and communicate with. It was a great place to come home to after a day on the Bourbon trail. Everyone in our party would highly recommend staying at this cottage when you visit Bardstown.
Perfect location. I entered the wrong email on the app and had to contact the owner who was very accommodating with providing me check in information via email instead of the app. We also misplaced an item and she was very kind and understanding. Amazing experience.
Very charming home with everything we needed to have a perfect stay!

My family has lived in Bardstown for over 25 years and I finally decided to buy a home of my own in 2018. My work requires me to travel, so when I'm not in town, I rent the home out to visitors :)
