Rural tourism house, located about 30 km from Porto, inserted farm with vineyard and forest park. Old cow house was recovered and converted into holiday accommodation.
The recently restored house is fully equipped and has: a living room with kitchen, 1 bathroom, a patio, 1 double bedroom (2 people), 1 twin room (2 people) and 1 mezzanine with a double bed (2 people). It is equipped with a full kitchen.
Outside the house has a cement patio where you can have a barbeque or just relax surrounded by peaceful surroundings and a beautiful view of the vineyard.
You can also use the other facilities at the property: swimming pool; parking; gardens; vineyards; Forest Park; Etc

The house was recently refurbished and is well equipped. The house has: a common living / dining room with full kitchen; a bathroom; 1 bedroom for 2 people (1 double bed); 1 bedroom also for two people with (2 single beds); and a mezzanine for 2 people (1 double bed).
Outside there is a patio in cement where you can barbeque or simply relax,

Bon séjour mais ...

Un peu difficile a trouver, accueil très agréable, grande distance entre la maisonnette et le parking (compliqué pour les personnes âgés, transport des courses, etc), et belle piscine (à partagé, éloigné aussi, et il faut grimpé 80 marches ou faire le tour par la foret). Sinon le cadre très sympa, la maison bien équipé sauf machine a laver le linge. Je conseil cette location si ces petits inconvénient ne sont pas rédhibitoire. Nous avons passer un bon séjour dans cette location.

Quiet place in a vineyard

This spacious house, a former stable, is all you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay in a rural area. The house is situated on the grounds of an age-old manor that is still inhabited by the very hospitable family. The furniture is basic but sufficient. After a warm day you do need a firm breeze to cool down the house. On such a warm day the atmospheric private swimming pool is nearby on a hill! We very much enjoyed the view over the vineyard and being "away from it all". We plan to return here.

Entspannter Urlaub in schöner Umgebung

Ferien zum Wohlfühlen! Das Haus ist schön und von Benedita mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet. Es liegt ruhig und abgeschieden am Rande des Anwesens; der Blick aus dem Panoramafenster auf die Weinreben und die hügelige Umgebung ist toll. Die Terrasse ist groß und hat einen großen Sonnenschirm, die Stühle laden allerdings nicht zu längerem Sonnenbaden ein. Dies geht dagegen gut am Swimmingpool, der in etwa 5 Minuten Fußweg mit einer ganzen Reihe von Stufen erreicht wird. Das Besteigen des Hügels lohnt sich unbedingt, denn der Pool ist sehr schön angelegt und eignet sich mit einer Länge von gut 10 Metern auch zum Schwimmen. Benedita, Paulo und Ricardo sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Korb mit Obst, Käse und einen auf dem Weingut produzierten Wein und Ricardo brachte unsere Koffer mit einem kleinen Trecker vom Parkplatz zum Haus. Vor unserer Abreise wurden wir eingeladen, uns das Herrenhaus anzusehen. Sollten Sie auch die Gelegenheit erhalten, zögern Sie keine Sekunde, die Führung und die anschließende Weinprobe mit den Gastgebern waren großartig!

Zeer gerieflijke woning met veel privacy

Woning van alle gemakken voorzien, met de kanttekening dat eetkamer- en tuinmeubilair vrij spartaans zijn. De woning is moeilijk af te koelen na een warme dag. De woning ligt helemaal vrij, kijkt uit over de wijngaard van de eigenaar. Pal achter de muur liggen aan een rustige weg wat woningen. De eigenaars zijn zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij en spreken goed Engels. Het idyllisch gelegen zwembad is met een flinke klim te bereiken. De ligging van Penafiel is zeer gunstig in Noord Portugal.

Lovely property in vineyard in the hills outside Porto

We really enjoyed our week for a family holiday in the north of portugal. Lovely place to stay and particularly enjoyed the pool at the top of the hill which was great for relaxing after sightseeing in the many places that are within an easy drive, followed by an eveing barbecue on the patio with lovely views over the vineyard. Lovely hosts made us feel very welcome.

Heerlijk huis op een fantastische plek!

We hebben een week doorgebracht op deze mooie stek. Het huis is heerlijk rustig gelegen aan de rand van de wijngaard van Casa de Cabanelas. Je hebt dus een magnifiek uitzicht en kunt volop genieten van de rust die er heerst. Het huis is leuk ingericht met een comfortabele bank en goede bedden. Alle belangrijke voorzieningen zijn aanwezig. Het ligt mooi centraal gelegen van Porto en de Douro vallei en biedt een prima uitval basis naar de vele bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. We hebben ook genoten van het heerlijke zwembad bovenop de heuvel achter het huis.De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam! We hadden onze twee honden (dwergteckels) mee en die hebben genoten van de ruimte. Al met al een heel fijn huis op een fantastische plek!

Great place for a wonderful holiday

The property was perfect, clean and well equipped. We couldn't fault it. We took 3 generations, ranging from 6 years to 84 years and all were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful environment. Grandma was in a wheel chair and, although it was a bit hilly she was able to join in fully, be it spending leisurely afternoons at the pool or sitting and taking in the wonderful vista from the terrace. Our hosts were very considerate and happy to help at any point. We were truly sad to leave this rural idyll.

Formidable !!

Que dire de plus !!! Un accueil incroyable avec une corbeille de fruits bien remplie, un excellent vinho verdé, du fromage, des olives, des confitures maison faites par Maria... La magnifique allée fleurie conduisant à la location. La maison à un charme incroyable qui nous charmait du matin au soir avec ses poutres et ses murs blancs, son sol en pierre noire ou en bois, ses fenêtres ouvrant sur les vignes... La piscine est également superbe et quel plaisir d'y prendre son petit apéro :-) Charme et sérénité pourraient qualifier cette adorable maison. Encore merci à vous !!!

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful week at the house at the Vineyard. It started with a nice welcome by our landlord Paolo who dropped our luggage in his wheelbarrow to walk us to the beautiful house. The house is well furnished and very cosy and has an amazing window with a view over the Vineyard. I'm sure that the owners will soon have some additonal comfortabel chairs to sit on the porch. Paolo en Benedita were very hospitable and helpful and I can reccomend this vacation house to anybody who likes to sniff a little bit of the Portugese culture in this rural area.

Stijlvol verbouwde schuur

We verbleven een week in dit appartement met zijn tweeën. Wij hebben genoten van de prachtige stijlvolle vintage inrichting. Er is veel zorg aan besteed. Het uitzicht vanuit het huisje en het terras is prachtig. We werden verwelkomd met een schaal vol groente en fruit, wijn, brood en kaas. Wat wil je nog meer! Ook is er een prachtig zwembad aanwezig bovenop de Calvariberg die grenst aan het huisje. Het huisje is prachtig gelegen in de wijngaard die bij een klein kasteeltje hoort. Nadeel is dat je de auto niet dicht bij het huisje kan parkeren dus het is even lopen met de boodschappen en de bagage. Ook verwachten wij in het land van wijn en Port dat er geschikte glazen aanwezig zijn waaruit we deze lekkere drankjes kunnen drinken. Tot slot mogen wat ons betreft de eetkamer/terrasstoelen iets comfortabeler zijn om op te zitten. Maar dat zijn maar enkele kleine minpuntjes. Voor ons was het genieten geblazen en we kunnen een verblijf hier zeker aanbevelen voor mensen die van rust houden.
