We live in Indiana and come to Florida every year for the month of January! I have to say the was the best house we have ever rented! Immaculate! Everything you could ever want it made it easy to stay in during Covid! From walking in the front door we felt very welcomed! Jose checked in a few times to see if we needed anything! Pool was awesome and heated very nicely, hottub was amazing outdoor kitchen perfect! Kayaks were great to take to end of road and see the dolphins at dolphin plus! 3pm is feeding time and you get a free show! The owners have truly thought of every single detail! I cannot say enough good about this place! Jose and Monica thank you for sharing your paradise with us!

An island of serenity yet close to everything.

Driving up to the property the first thing I noticed was everything appeared to be brand new and just put in place. The inside of the house had the same feeling small things like soap in very bathroom, ample pots and utensils in the kitchen, high quality towels and bedding. But the best was still to come I walked out on to the upstairs balcony and felt that I had discovered paradise. I looked out on a vast sea of green mangrove with sparking water flowing through them. Down on the ground level the paver patio, dock with fish cleaning sink, tiki hut, pool with water so clear you needed a slight breeze to see it. If this wasn't enough the outside kitchen and cabana was perfect with commercial ice machine, high quality grill and cabana with changing room and large shower. I have been coming the Florida Keys since the 1980's and this was the BEST property I have ever stayed at!

You'll Love Paradise

You will comprehend the word “paradise” after you visit “Paradise” family vacation home in Key Largo. Our extended family enjoyed this loving home for 4 weeks. The grandkids (and adults) spent much time in the heated pool, hot tub, fishing on the canal, playing foosball, and kayaking in the mangroves. Sightings included Manatees (mother and baby) turtles, Moray Eel, Iguanas, Angle Fish, Tarpon, armies of Parrot fish, Filefish, Pufferfish, Lobsters, and a crocodile. We all went to watch the dolphins (sans admission) at Dolphin Plus with a short kayak ride down the canal. The house is lovely and well kept. The sleeping areas are spacious and beautifully maintained each have their own private bathroom. There are many options to sit and relax or enjoy the time together. You can: -hang out at the pool (with many chaise loungers around the pool) -hang out in the covered tiki bar (if the sun gets too hot) -sit at the table outside of the outdoor bar and grill area -gather in the covered foosball, ping pong, and hot tub area -relax in the screened in third floor master bedroom area overlooking the mangroves -have dinner at the second floor screened in area outside the kitchen or -have meals inside if too hot outside -watch your favorite movies or play games in the family room area I also need to mention Jose and Monica. They were a text away to answer questions or fix any slight technical issues that would arise. Overall, this was “paradise,” and no one wanted to leave.

Paradise FOUND!

We can’t say enough about our stay in “PARADISE.” Jose and Monica have built a dream house on the water, and graciously shared it with my family of 4. The house itself is just beautiful. Modern, top of the line everything, stocked with everything we could need, and extras to get us started. The indoor/outdoor space on every level makes the house feel huge. Wrap around balconies on every floor. There is a screened in outdoor eating area right off the kitchen. On the third floor there is a screened in lounge area that is as serene and peaceful as it gets with unforgettable views. Plus, step out of the screened in area for even more space for sun salutations. The dock and outside area has it all! A gorgeous large pool, 7 person hot tub, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, fusbal table, ping pong table, ,and bikes!!! The outdoor kitchen just off the pool house was a dream, and we grilled almost every single night. (Pool house was complete with refrigerator, microwave, sound system, ice machine, changing room, bathroom, and double waterfall shower!) There are plenty of places to lounge by the pool with umbrellas as well as an oversized dining table with umbrella. Two amazing features that you didn’t know you needed until had them were the tiki hut and the gas fire pit!!! The tiki hut is perfectly placed and has a light and fan and 5 high top Adirondack chairs. And sand! What a dream to do homeschooling in the morning in the tiki hut! And then to sit around the fire pit with blue jewels at night was such a treat in one of the 5 giant Adirondack chairs. The inside and outside of the house has so many outlets, which is also something you find out you need quickly! The privacy of being on the end of a block was also a huge bonus. No neighbors to stare at across the way, just beautiful mangroves as far as the eye could see. We lucked out with this house and these owners!!! Can’t speak highly enough of this property and warmly enough of the owners. A million thanks!!!

best rental house ever!

We stayed at Paradise for 5 glorious weeks. From the moment you walk into this property, it feels like an alternate reality. We have travelled the world, including 5 star resorts, and we can honestly say this is one of the best places we have stayed at. The house is in a beautiful location with magnificent views of the ocean and the mangroves, and a delightful sunset every night. The house itself is impeccable. Everything was extremely clean and/or new. The layout of the house is very open, with top end finishes. We had plenty of room to do school/work or just change settings depending on the mood: sometimes we would eat (or work) indoors, sometimes on the screened porch, sometimes outside overlooking the water. My teenage kids loved fishing from the deck, or just watching the animals go by. We saw a turtle, lobsters, a nurse shark, reef fish and even manatees, just from the deck. Clear skies and low light pollution gave us a wonderful location to watch the Geminid meteor shower and the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction. There were so many things to do just in the house, that it seemed like a resort all by itself. We could kayak or paddleboard to the mangroves, to see the dolphins in the rescue center (less than a block), or ride in the canals. There is a bike trail very close by, and a community park, so we could go for walks, for a run or for a bike ride very easily and safely. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub daily. Due to covid, we minimized going to restaurants, but we would walk to the fishery and get fresh fish, lobster, shrimp, and even key lime pie, many times a week. There are many large TVs throughout the house. We also rented a boat for most of the trip, we were able to dock our boat in the back of the house and go boating whenever the weather was good. Our favorite snorkeling spots were Christ of the Abyss, Molasses key and Alligator reef. Please note that it is tricky to get any boat in and out because of a low clearance bridge on one side and shallow water depth on the other side of the canals, so discuss with the owners before renting a boat. The owners Monica and Jose are very nice and available. We were in constant communication about mail, questions, etc, and they would get back to us very promptly. The pictures did not do justice to the wonderful experience we all had, grandma, kids and us, without even leaving the house. The only downside we can think of was having to leave, would give it 10 stars if we could.

Awesome property, location and owner!

On a scale from 1 to 10, this property is an 11! The home is beautiful and has been equipped with so many perks that you don't need to leave. It has been recently renovated and the appointments are new and fresh. The sunsets were breath-taking. The location is also very convenient to restaurants and activities. You can even walk to a local marina, charter boats and a couple of watering holes. This was helpful for us as we brought our boat and could only pass under the bridge at low tide. We rented a slip at the marina so we could come and go as we please, not worrying about the tides. And finally, the owner (Jose) was very helpful, attentive and responded lightening fast. Our visit was a 3 generational vacation to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. When we arrived for our stay, we were greeted with a birthday balloon, my husband's favorite adult beverage, fresh oranges and muffins from a local iconic restaurant. This property is truly "Paradise"!

Truly Paradise

If I could give the owner and property 10 Stars I would. Owner not only responds but it’s usually within five minutes when any issues come up. The dishwasher went on the fritz during our visit and was actually replaced the following week. Jose doesn’t hesitate to make sure that your stay is truly a visit to Paradise. One often worries if pics of VRBO homes are truly accurate, again this home is a 10 Star. The home is super clean, kitchen is well stocked with all necessary items all of which are high quality. Owner also doesn’t skimp on providing plenty of tp, Kleenex, paper towels, detergents, plastic bags etc. Owner welcomes you with a basket of fresh fruit,champagne, and yummy key lime cookies. Bathrooms are beautiful with plenty of new plush white towels and 2 terry cloth robes per bedroom. This is a fabulous home for a multi couples retreat or for families. The home has plenty of beach towels, noodles and pool rafts to use in addition to the hot tub, bikes, ping pong table, tiki hut, paddle boards and kayaks. Life jacks are also provided but run small a XL life jacket would be a nice addition for use with water toys. Location is near many great restaurants. Between super host and super house we can’t recommend this home more it is truly a paradise that we didn’t want to leave. Don’t hesitate to rent this home you will love it.

A little about ourselves, we have 4 adult children and two grandkids…secretly hoping for more. Besides enjoying time with our family and entertaining friends, our favorite thing to do is to travel.

Our favorite vacation destination is a small private island in Fiji named Turtle Island. If you are old enough, this is where the original Blue Lagoon movie was filmed, starring Brooke Shields. Second and third favorite things to do? Watching NBA games and going to concerts. Our favorite NBA team is the Miami Heat!

Why they chose this property

When we acquired Paradise in 2016, we remodeled most of it. We wanted to transform it into a place that could meet our adventurous spirits, while allowing us to escape from the world, relax and rejuvenate.

Paradise is in a premium location with mangroves as neighbors across the canal and the ocean only 5 minutes away! It’s a complete perfection for kayakers and to paddle board. Location, location, location – we fell in love with this place. It met our Gold Standard! In addition, it is only 70 minutes away from our South Florida home.

Designing Paradise to entertain our family and friends was a fun project, stressful too, but mostly fun. We wanted every area to be cozy, yet modern, even while been in the Florida Keys. It was completed with separate seating areas, for entertaining different groups and for those moments of solitude.

Paradise was not originally intended to be a vacation rental property. It was our love for travel that kept us apart from it, so we finally decided to list it in VRBO and block a period of quality time for us to enjoy with family and friends. Reason why, while you browse for vacation rental homes in the Key Largo area, you will find ours to be unique.

Once we decided to share it, we wanted our guests to experience it at the same level we do. The furniture and appliances are not of a standard vacation rental. The linens and towels are premium, the pool is heated and both, pool and hot tub are serviced twice per week, there is a mosquito control system, the outdoor kitchen with adjacent cabana bath was designed to meet all outdoor needs, and so much more!

What makes this property unique

If you are an admirer of nature and all it can offer, you will value watching the sunrise and sunset from the upstairs terrace. It’s just breathtaking, definitely Instagram worthy! The large variety of birds and fish will keep you wanting for more every day. The fish love our dock area and you can fish every day. The green underwater light at night, allows you to enjoy a serene evening surrounded by nature.
