It was absolutely Mr. Joe and Miss NANCY and Mr. Jesse are incredible made me feel like I was at home. It’s been the best vacation I have been in a long time I want to thank all this stuff.
Location is perfect. Far enough away but still accessible to all the local springs. We dove for three days and spent the nights here. Got great use out of the kitchen and found everything clean and in working order. The porch was great for sitting at night and the blackstone grill was exactly what we needed. Everyone was super friendly and our dog enjoyed walking the property in the mornings. Would definitely stay here again!
The Good: This property is well - loved, and the hosts were very accommodating. It is so rare to find a place on a river that doesn't look straight into a whole neighborhood of riverfront property. This place was peaceful and beautiful in a very authentic, unfussy way. There were people around, but it was quiet and never felt crowded. Loved sitting on the front porch and watching my kids splash in the river. Close to a lot of spring destinations.
The Not So Good: It says it is air- conditioned, but that is a bit of a stretch. There are free-standing portable ACs in each room, which only work to a certain extent, and cannot work all at once without overloading the electric system of this old cabin. We were only able to use two of the three bedrooms because of this for the duration of our stay. If you are finicky about heat and humidity, this is not a property you want to visit between May and September. The listing says a 'playground' - There is one tree swing. It is a fabulous tree swing. But it is just a tree swing. The listing said the property came with a kayak. There was evidence that this had once existed, but none to be seen. On the other hand, we were offered bicycles, which were not listed. Unfortunately, not really a good place for bike riding.
Overall: It is charming. If charming is what you want, and flexible is what you are, this is a great find. Probably AMAZING in spring and fall. If you want a more modern experience, this isn't it.
A somewhat historical old house with a 300-year-old Florida oak next to the porch looking out at the Sante Fe river. The wildlife is abundant in a setting of oaks and beautiful cypress trees. the sound of nature is refreshing to hear and see. The many springs are all close, the Ichetucknee spring run is astonishing and just up the river a few minutes. The house is quaint and rustic, very clean and tidy, has a bit of a musty smell due to the oldness and moister. We enjoyed our stay regardless and enjoyed not being bothered with by the owners, they were invisible for our entire stay but were always there to assist if needed. It is a cool place to stay, they also have cute cabins for other guest. Thanks for another cool memory. :)
Camping at its finest. We even saw deer several times which was awesome. Will definitely go back for a camping weekend with no TV and barely even internet.
We stayed in the large house on property and it was special. We will be back with family to rent the large house and a few cabins. Lots of fun kayaking the Santa Fe River. Joe and Nancy were great hosts. Very helpful and responsive above and beyond.
I stayed here with a friend and our daughters and the place was exactly as described. The pictures show the cabin, and it is set in a small campground environment on the Santa Fe river. It was a short drive from the Ichetucknee and other springs that we toured. The campground has kayaks, boats, and floats to use in the river. If you are looking for a riverfront cabin to camp in and explore from I would recommend it.
This is the perfect place for family of kids of all ages. A wonderful place in nature with all the fun toys for teenagers and adults alike. House itself is rustic and in a natural setting of woods and river. Lovely and peaceful getaway.

Great for a family getaway!
It was very nice but we are somewhat disabled and had a hard time with the stairs and the ramp to the dock. It would be great for a family vacation. We came home after one night.
