The cabin is two miles from The Forks Resort at Bass Lake and less than 20 miles from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The town of Oakhurst is 6 miles away with shopping, restaurants, wine bars, a brew pub, and a movie theater. Nearby is the historic town of Mariposa, located 30 miles away.

This beautiful cabin sleeps up to 6 people. The entry-level has an open kitchen and dining area, a cozy living room and a bedroom that has a queen bed and a full bath. Upstairs has a bedroom with a Cal King and a full bath with a large loft for relaxing, playing games and hanging out.

Family Bass Lake Stay

My family and I loved staying at this cabin! Everyone had their own space and the large patio was a really nice touch. The distance from the lake was about 10 minutes which made it convenient for fishing and swimming. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

We had a wonderful time at the Bass Lake Cabin. The cabin was very neat and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The cabin was a short drive to Bass Lake, which made it very convenient. Thank-you for sharing your cabin with us.

This is an incredible location and great place to stay, especially if you are heading to Bass Lake. I would bring more blankets and pillows if you have 6 people staying, not much was provided. But lots of other amenities!

Balsam Cabin!

We booked a last minute vacation to Balsam Cabin and we couldn’t have been more happy! I have an obsession with A-frames so it was perfect! 5 min drive to the water and we LOVED the little waffle maker! It made our mornings! Will definitely book again!

Excellent family destination

The cabin is really nicely decorated, very clean, and extremely well stocked, especially the kitchen and the play area upstairs. We played a lot of board games and spent a lot of time at the foosball table. We also enjoyed the wood stove. Bass lake is a very short drive away. The hosts were really great and easy to reach. I highly recommend this property.

Fantastic Get Away

This house is just like the pictures shown, it has an amazing cabin feel that makes you feel at home! Heidi was extremely responsive if we had any questions and provides a binder with things to know about not only the home, but activities and things to do locally. The house is in a nice community where everyone waves to everyone. Excellent location and would definitely recommend!

A bit misleading, some hidden up charges

The property itself was nice, but had no lake view and was definitely not truly in the water nor was it feasibly accessible by anything other than a car. I’ve also never had owners who were so finicky about number of people staying, and there were some hidden up charges around that. They also messaged and deducted from the security deposit for some pretty minor stuff some of which we definitely didn’t have anything to do with. If we return to bass lake I think we’ll choose a different property that’s actually on the water.

Amazing Vacation

The property was very clean and well maintained. It was very easy to communicate with the owners. The location of the property is very close to Bass Lake. We had an amazing time staying at the Balsam Cabin for Labor Day Weekend 2022 and we are planning to go back to the cabin for 2023.
