This is one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in in the Packwood/White Pass area! Very clean & cozy. Obviously we liked the pictures but it was even better than the pictures! And the layout was perfect. Kitchen was very well stocked & we loved the added touch of all the Holiday decorations & dishes! It made our post Christmas ski getaway that much better! Looking forward to returning!
The owner is very organized and clean and the space had a wonderful cabin and Forest Animal feel. We really enjoyed using the wood stove and the views from the porches
Packwood doesn’t have many dining options, so it was great to have a well appointed kitchen. Loved the ping pong table. Floors are very creaky, so tread lightly at night. Incredibly clean. View from back deck is lovely.
We loved our stay! For us it was a retreat after big hikes in a beautiful park we loved coming back to this great place that had everything and was so comfortable! We even saw an elk out back while sitting on the deck! It is conveniently close to town for great food too! Thanks for the great stay!
We enjoyed this house so much! It was spacious, comfortable and clean, and it had absolutely everything we needed. Located just outside the small town of Packwood, we had easy access to a handful of good restaurants and amenities. I can’t wait to take my kids next time! They will love the “bunkhouse” bedroom and game room.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Upper Timberline Family Retreat, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views and the tranquil sounds of nature. The cabin itself was immaculate, cozy, clean and beautifully decorated, creating an inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
The amenities provided were top-notch. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare delicious meals, and the comfortable beds ensured we had restful nights. We especially loved the spacious deck with its breathtaking mountain views – perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation.
The location was ideal – secluded enough to offer peace and privacy, yet conveniently close to local shops and restaurants.
Overall, our stay at the Upper Timberline Family Retreat exceeded all expectations. It was the perfect getaway for relaxation and adventure. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a serene and memorable escape. Five stars all the way!
We traveled from Texas to Washington for our son’s wedding at Mt. Rainier. The cabin was beautiful, well stocked, clean, and had wonderful views. Being from Texas, surrounded by pine and fir trees was a treat. Our host Cheri made the booking and stay very easy. She kept in communication with us which is a big plus, especially when going somewhere we had never been. I give our stay a thumbs up and an A+!
The Timberline Retreat was just about perfect. The cabin was super clean and stocked with all we needed. The location was quiet but also conveniently located near entrances to Mt Rainier NP and Packwood. We enjoyed the ping pong table, the many maps and books about the park and the region, the well-stocked kitchen, and all the thoughtful little touches and things to do that made it feel cozy. The one and only complaint? We did not find a regular coffee maker, only a Keurig-type machine which was not ideal. Still would give this 10/10 and strongly recommend! Would definitely come back when in the area. Thanks for the hospitality!
We have immensely enjoyed staying in this very cozy and comfortable cabin. It was cold and rained some of the days but it was so pleasant to be tucked in the cabin with the wood stove, beautiful views, books, toys/games and ping pong. Very relaxing and soul-uplifting. When the weather cleared, it felt as a great base for exploring Mt Rainier and Packwood area.
The cabin is nicely decorated with personal touch and lots of happy warm yellow lights. Everything was clean, working, and great quality. Cherie’s communication was proactive and helpful. We were very grateful that our stay could be extended, and definitely hope to be back.
An amazing cabin that blossomed wonderful memories of laughter and fun. Irvin and Cherie (Property Owners) were incredibly helpful and kept strong communication to ensure my Group had a pleasant experience. The location of the cabin has amazing views with a combination of a relaxing and peaceful environment. The cabin has a wide range of utilities that made being able to do everything possible. The binder was immensely helpful that held suggestions of trails, restaurants, resorts to go and explore during our stay, and clear, easy to follow procedures for everything in the cabin and departing the cabin. I definitely recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to create quality memories. My Group and I will be returning in the future.
The house has everything one would need to prepare gourmet meals, including a nice gas barbecue. The decorations were charming and the wood stove created a warm ambiance. We played booth billiards and ping pong. Although there were just two of us it would be comfortable for a group of 5-6 people. We will definitely stay again.
We had an incredible time! Cherie was a great host with a thoroughly detailed welcome packet, including some really great hiking trails throughout the Packwood area. Definitely plan on making a return trip back!
It was a great few days. And of course was a great place to come back to recoup, and make dinner, talk about our day, and prepare for another hike or climb. Thanks.
We stayed just a couple of nights but that was enough to recharge and enjoy our time together as a family. The home is nice and close to Packwood. Such an amazing place to see God’s creation. We had a small issue with the stove but the hosts were responsive and helpful. It did not impact our trip at all.
