Very cozy wooden house, equipped with everything you want: kitchen with nespresso, dishwasher, oven and magnetron, big refrigerator and freezer. Washing machine, chromecast on the TV and good wifi. Enormous garden with lots of tables and chairs, table tennis, badminton, jeu de boules , etc. BBQ, hammock and brand new mountainbikes. And of course the huge pool 500 meters away. We had a great week! Thank you Daphné, and of course Jeanne, who was really helpful!

Thank you very much Dirk for the lovely comment and for leaving the house immaculate. We would live to welcome your happy family again, any time. September is good for picking blackberries, October is brilliant for colourful hikes in the forest, November calls for weekends out of the urban fog, etc. Promised, the heating system that you did not have to try does work!
Kind regards,
Daphné
The property itself and the garden area are lovely ; the kitchen is small but well equipped as is the seating area. The staircase is very narrow and the bannister very low and I would worry if I had young children or elderly guests staying. The internet speed was much less than advertised; we did not achieve even 3MBS in 2 weeks and often less than that.

Thank you Andrew for your lovely comments and also for your frankness about stairs and internet speed : we had a beautiful flow during Covid, but they have drastically lowered it since january i think, and when I called, the explanation was that we are expecting to be connected by fiber (? la fibre optique in French) as soon as this October. I will adjust the advert of the house accordingly.
Best Wishes,
Daphné
The hosts of this property are fantastic and I cannot fault their communication. However we were caught out by a few things that weren't obvious to us from the listing. While this is a three bedroom property, one of those rooms only contains a small bed for a young child, and is also the thoroughfare for the other two rooms. Meaning if you use this room, the other guests will need to walk through it to get to their rooms or back downstairs to the bathroom. This was an issue for us as we booked a 3 bed property thinking we would have separate rooms for our two teens and that everyone would have their own space and privacy. At the time of booking, the listing did mention a barn with three additional bedrooms, however we clarified that this space was no longer habitable before our stay. The listing stated air conditioning, it should be noted that this is a portable air conditioning unit and didnt appear to have the equipment to fix it to the style of windows in the house. You can use this to some degree by putting the hose out of an open window and closing the curtain around it, and cooling one room at a time. This house is well lived in and contains a lot of property from previous guests and the owners. While this is often very useful - most cupboards are fully stocked, it very much feels like you are in someone else's space in a way that may not be for everyone. Overall we enjoyed our time here but may not have booked it had the listing been more accurate.
