A luxurious, spacious, 4 double bedroom, detached villa with a Large private pool. Perfect for families or golf groups etc that are going to respect the property. Please no party groups.

The Price quoted is for the entire Villa for all guests and the whole property including Villa, garden, Private Swimming pool and parking is for your sole use. There are no hidden extra costs.

Only a 5 min drive to beach, Fuengirola or La Cala ,and the local amenities. The villa is right next to Cerrado del Aguila Golf and the urbanisation has two road entrances, one from the main road from Fuengirola & La cala or one directly on to golf resort. The Villa is located on a gated urbanisation with electric gates and the villa its self has two separate private parking ports with electric gates.

The Villa is very clean and new and has fully established front and back gardens. The Villa is layed out over 3 floors. You enter the villa on the Main floor, which has the main living room with big terrace overlooking Fuengirola,main Kitchen, entrance hall, full bathroom, with bath, toilet,sink & shower and also one double bedroom opposite the bathroom (2 Single beds - can change). The Main Kitchen looks out over the front garden area. The Main Lounge has a large terrace with stunning views overlooking the Garden and Pool and Fuengirola and the Sea . The Terrace also has stairs directly down to the garden. The Lounge has a large 6 seater Natuzzi leather sofa and a 56"' smartTV with Netflix, Amazon prime,DVD and TDT TV. There are also a good selection of DVD´s to watch. There is also very high speed fibre optic internet via WiFi, so you can connect all your devices.

The Upper Floor has 2 large double bedrooms both en suite with full bathrooms with sinks, bidets, baths, toilets & showers. The master bedroom has a large double bed and now one single. The second bedroom now has three singles- this can be changed to a double and single). The Main Bedroom also has a walk in closet for cloths and a large double balcony with views of garden, pool, fuengirola, sea & mountains. The main floors and stairs are cream Marble.

The Lower garden floor contains a very large entertainment area and second kitchen. This area can be used as an extra dinning area, extra lounge , or if needed extra sleeping room for extra guests. There is a 42" TV here with firestick for Netflix etc. There is a double dinning table with 10 chairs and a cream leather L sofa. Also on this lower floor, there is a fourth bedroom with double and single beds. On this floor there is also a laundry room and a toilet with sink & shower.The large extra room leads out onto a covered patio area and the garden, pool area. On this patio there is now a double lenght table for 10+ people, also extra table next to bbq.

The Garden has a large area for relaxing or playing and there is also a full children's climbing frame with covered cabin, slide and swings. A perfect mixture of sun and shaded areas. Also full size table tennis table with bats and balls.

The pool now has a full security gate so is perfect for families with children.

The villa offers a lot of privacy and is perfectly located at only 3 km from the beach with an amazing views over Fuengirola and mountains. Also located next to golf course..
The detached villa is set in its private garden and has a fabulous pool area with sun loungers. There are plenty of tables & chairs and more beds can be provided if needed. Please let us know. Private parking for 2 cars.Also street parking no problem as in private gated community with night Guard.

This Villa is being rented directly by the Owner and I am available any time if you have any questions and issues. The Pool and watering system for the garden are automatic, but we will come and clean the Pool if you are staying more than 1 week, this will obliviously be at your convenience.

The Bed arrangement can also be changed to suit if you require more double beds etc. There are also cots available if required . Also there are an extra two double Sofa beds in the Villa.

Great short break

We were in Spain for a wedding so wasn’t in the villa much but when we was we really enjoyed our stay and it had everything we needed, Stephen was very helpful and answered all our questions very quickly

Great for large family or two families.

We had a lovely week here. The villa is great, it's well equipped, beds are comfortable and it's very spacious. There were 10 of us staying including grandparents, and grandchildren and we were never on top of each other. We loved the outside area and the kitchen downstairs! We used the pool everyday, definitely the children's favourite part! The only thing it's missing are some plastic cups/plates for outside. Stephen, the host, was very helpful and friendly and met us when we arrived to go through everything. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Villa with great views

11 of us holidayed in this fantastic villa with lots of space, Stephen was very accommodating with our requests and everything was perfect. Pool area was great and pool spotlessly clean. Being slightly higher up the breeze was lovely round the pool area. The local area was very nice with a little supermarket and a couple of nice bars & only a short drive or taxi ride from everything you need. Lots of golf courses close by & would recommend Calanova Golf Club. All in all a great holiday, great villa and great weather. Many thanks.

This property was exactly what we expected. Lovely villa with great outdoor space which we needed with 4 young children. Having the downstairs kitchen by the pool was a plus, we had our lunch and some dinners out there. Upstairs living room with aircon worked well when hot in the afternoons, for a break from the heat. Play area in the garden was a massive hit with the kids and kept them occupied. We will be referring to friends and family. We would also like to rebook in the future. Many Thanks Stephen and family!

Lovely villa

The villa was clean and well presented. The host met us on arrival and explained how everything worked, he arranged pick up from the airport and a shopping stop for us. Plenty of space and privacy, with both kitchens well equipped with everything we needed. The washing machine was a plus, meaning hardly any washing was brought back. The pool was a big bonus and was used constantly throughout the day and evening, and the host visited during the week to maintain it. The gardens were well maintained, the bbq used and the outside leisure space in constant use. The only downside to the property was perhaps the location and I would definitely recommend a car to visit the surrounding areas especially in the height of seasons when temperatures are high and walking is not possible. Also a welcome pack would be useful, with bus times, taxi numbers and perhaps a map of the area with restaurant locations and owing times etc. overall I would recommend this property, a well deserved break was enjoyed by all.

Lovely villa

Lovely villa in nice area. Host very contactable and helpful with any concerns or questions we had. Quick to appear when there were some issues. Villa clean and outdoor area perfect for kids, even with a nice play area we didn’t realise would be there which was brilliant. No air con in basement room but this wasn’t an issue as cooler down there and fan available. There is some building work going on which spoils the view ever so slightly and makes things a little dusty. Not the owners fault of course but would have been nice to know before coming. However owner came to clean the pool mid week in case it was dirtier than usual because of the works which was very considerate of him. The works weren’t noisy at all though and not too much of a bother at all over all. Only other thing was would have been really helpful to have basics such as salt pepper oil etc in the kitchen, always helpful when only coming for a week! Overall lovely area, short drive to beach, plenty to do, great for kids, would come again.

Great holiday shame about the villa

Stunning location & views however disappointing that the villa was tired old and needed a good clean ! Basic items what you would expect to find when self catering were not their I.e toilet paper,cleaning products & bin bags. Only 2 tea towels for the whole 10 days with 2 kitchens and 13 people this wasn't suffice. Ground floor is where we all spent most of the time however initially was set up for 5 people to sleep in 2 of which were in the open plan "kitchen" area. This area got really hot and sticky and no air con, states on advert coolest area however was so hot & riddled with mosquitos. Pool chemicals made 2 of our party come out in rashes everytime they used one of which was our 2 year old daughter who never entered the pool after day 2 due to being ill with sore legs and having to buy special creams to settle her skin. We asked Stephen if the pool had been tested but was told it was all fine however he could have offered to do again in my opinion. The photos on the advert do not reflect the villa in its current state. Alot of the furniture is different in particular the sunbeds which were really old and dirty and only 6 of them for a villa that is supposed to sleep 14? The downstairs kitchen where we spent most of our time because it was the level where the pool was had no equipment in any of the cupboards we had to bring from upstairs and wash before use as they were all dirty. Downstairs patio door and window doesn’t lock. Aircon drips water onto outer steps, slippy!

Fantastic property, location and communications!

We, a family of 4 from the UK, had a fantastic time in Stephen’s Villa Pilar. The initial communication and booking process was really easy with the villa offering great value for money and easy access to the villa through a key box. The villa is located in the low hills just outside Fuengirola, with great views over a substantial rural grassy area, then Fuengirola itself and then the sea! Fuengirola is only about 2 miles and 5 minutes away from the villa. The villa itself is set in a substantial plot in a quiet cul de sac, with parking out the front and a large, south-east facing, grassed rear area, with a decent sized pool, terrace, eating area, and a climbing frame/swings for younger kids. Set on three levels, entrance to the villa from the street comes into the middle floor, comprising an entrance hall, good, functional kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. On the top floor are two other bedrooms, with the master suite having a lovely, substantial patio balcony – perfect for morning teas in the sun! The bottom floor is pretty open plan, with a second kitchen, laundry room, lounge area and fourth bedroom. We just used this area to do the washing and as access to the rear garden, which has a large outdoor eating area with table and chairs. The villa was clean, tidy and well equipped. The location for us was just perfect. Far enough off the beaten track to be rural but only minutes from Fuengirola (5), Marbella (25), and Malaga (30). There are numerous good restaurants within a 10 to 12 minute drive – we liked Casa Juan Y Mari and La Gamba Torrenueva (both in Las Lagunas de Mijas) and Bad Ass Bistro in Fuengirola. Additionally, there are so many beaches to choose from, plus the Castillo Sohail (castle) to explore as well as the lovely, historic centres of Fuengirola and Marbella. And shopping-wise, there is a huge shopping mall with all of the major brands and a large Carrefour on the way into Fuengirola. So, all in all, Villa Pilar was awesome – we will return to it, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone else.

Prima verblijf

Vooraf al goed contact met de eigenaar via whatsapp. Door een vertraging van onze vlucht kwamen we pas laat in de avond aan, maar dat was geen probleem. Stephen was aanwezig en legde alles duidelijk uit. Het huis en de inboedel zijn niet nieuw, maar alles was schoon en echt prima voor een paar dagen. Van alles (borden, bestek, linnengoed) was voldoende voor grote groepen. Zwembad was schoon en mooi verlicht in de avond. Pingpongtafel werd ook gewaardeerd. Je hebt wel een (huur)auto nodig om plaatsen in de omgeving te bezoeken. Zou zomaar kunnen dat we volgende keer hier weer naartoe gaan.

Stort hus på rolig sted

Vi var kjempefornøyd med huset og alle soverommene. Det var 3 spiseplasser med plass til alle. Bassenget var perfekt, og vi badet hele dager. 6 solsenger var det også, og en koselig og rolig hage. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbake, for dette var et flott sted.

Overall we had not have a good time at the house. The owner claimed the piping system had a problem and he was in the middle of fixing and the last visitor had no issues regarding water but unfortunately the water pressure was so low that we even could not flash the toilet or even wash our face in the morning. The towels were so old and smelled so bad. The beds were squeaky and loose. The owner didn’t provide enough toilet paper. We ask him and he said “this is it”. So I won’t recommend this place at all.

Very good, spacious, clean, ideal for our needs. We only had a water issue with leaks. To resolve we just had to turn off at the mains when not in use, and then back on when needed. Owner was trying to resolve through the insurance company, perhaps should of dealt directly with the tradersmen?

Wedding Anniversary with family and friends

Stephen was an excellent host. He was at the villa to show us around and give us information about the area. We had a contact for him should there be anything we required, or had to ask. The villa was very clean and comfortable and garden and pool excellent We were on a family holiday to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary, with our family from Canada and from the UK. Our grandchildren from Canada really enjoyed the pool and the rest of the family enjoyed the private area of the villa while enjoying the views and breeze from the balcony. The area was also close enough not to have to travel too far for activities which we wanted to do with the children (8&10) There was 6 adults and 2 children there most of the time with 2 friends who are residents of Spain join us for a couple of days to celebrated our anniversary. We ate at the golf club near our villa and had a lovely meal. The villa itself was well enough equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cups for us all. Maybe not so well equipped for large meal cooking, but we ate out a lot. We just had to message Stephen if we required fresh linen or towels and he dropped them off. Without disturbing us. As my husband and I were there for 3 weeks, the others 2 weeks, Stephen was the to check over the pool twice and would have been doing the same the day we left. There was construction going ahead on the villa next to us and although we could hear some disturbance it was not before 8.30 and not after 3pm and definitely not at the weekend. Therefore it was not a problem to us. Also on our second last day our water was cut off at around 10.30am, we discovered it was a burst pipe in our area, contacted Stephen who apologised and got on to the water company straight away and kept us informed of what was happening. Luckily it was only off for a couple of hours. Overall I cannot fault the villa and especially the host Stephen. I would highly recommend Villa Pilar

Good family holiday location.

Communication with Stephen was very good beforehand and during our stay and he provided a lot of information prior to travel about the local area, local supermarkets, restaurants etc. The location of the property is good for people wanting a bit of peace and quiet but still only a short drive into town. I’d think a car is necessary if you plan to go out to restaurants, shops, parks etc. Ubers do operate in and around Fuengirola but don’t seem that keen leaving the town at busy times so you may have a wait. Different members of the family used them on a few occasions and usually cost less than €10. Although we had a very good time the villa was a wee bit disappointing. This was due mainly by the standard of some of the furniture, bedding, towels. We expected better for the money paid. We have holidayed in villas before and as it’s a family villa you normally would have a range of pool/garden toys for kids. However there was not a noodle or bucket and spade to be seen. For anyone with a bigger group who need to use the downstairs bedrooms, these do not have a/c. We were aware of this and we were fine as the temps were no higher than mid 20s but would be uncomfortable in mid summer.

Fabulous villa.....

Spent a week in this lovely villa, 10 of us in total which included 4 very young children.. everything about it was spot on. We spent all our time on the ground floor playing table tennis and swimming in the pool. And having bbq's. The kids loved it, Mijas was lovely a short ride by taxi to the beach. A couple of local friendly bars and a well equipped mini supermarket nearby. We spent most of the time in the villa as it was very homely and well equipped. Stephen the owner was so helpful, he showed us around and gave us lots of directions for places and things to do...would definitely visit again

Grupo con niños.

Nos alojamos un grupo de amigos con hijos (edades comprendidas entre 1 y 7 años). De nuestra estancia en la villa, destacamos su piscina (el hecho de que estuviera vallada terminó de convencernos, por la seguridad de los peques) , las cenas en el jardín (ojo con los mosquitos, es conveniente llevar repelentes) , la barbacoa... La casa es grande y hay aire acondicionado en todas las estancias, salvo en el piso de abajo, aunque allí no se suele concentrar tanto calor... La comunicación con el propietario fue muy buena y fluida desde el primer momento. En definitiva, una buena elección, sobre todo en tiempos del Covid-19, para no salir a penas de la casa, donde tuvimos todo lo que necesitabamos para disfrutar de una semana de vacaciones.

I live in Mijas with My Spanish wife and two Children and have been in Spain for 17 years now. My Wife owns and runs "Hostal Italia " in Fuengirola, this has been run by her family for over 50 years.

We purchase the Villa new in the planning stage and watched it being built for 2 years .We moved in at the end of 2007 and lived here for 7 years. We now have another house on the other side of the racecourse and have decided to rent Villa Pilar for holiday rentals.

Why they chose this property

This is a great place to spend a holiday as it has a good size mature garden, with private Fenced Pool, climbing frame & swings for the Kids, table tennis etc. Many people love the fact that there is both Sun but also has Shade in the garden due to the large trees.

It has uninterrupted views over Fuengirola and there are no houses in front. Plenty of room to relax & enjoy. This villa is perfect for Families and groups of families, as it is on three levels every one can have some privacy. We have many groups that are three couples and children.

The Villa is perfectly located in the centre of the Costa del Sol. Only 20 mins to the airport, 5 mins to Fuengirola or La Cala, 20 mins to Marbella.

The Villa is situated next to a golf course (cerrado del Aguila gof resort), and is only a few minutes away from El Chaperral and Mijas Golf. Just in Mijas there are 13 golf courses.

What makes this property unique

Fantastic Views over Fuengirola and Mountains to the Left. No houses to block views. Garden in great for Kids and also for Adults to relax in both day & Night. This Villa was original chosen by us for its Location, as is near everything but also out of town so you can relax.
