Rend Lake Hunting & Fishing House Rental

We have a great place for fishermen and hunters to stay (of course families are welcome). This house rental would also be great for traveling nurses as the rental is nearby to area hospitals. I do offer a discount for long-term renting. Feel free to email me to discuss the discounted rate. This rental has been remodeled in 2018 and is located in the small town of Waltonville, IL.
It is a two-bedroom house with two full-size beds and two twin-size beds available. The living room has a queen-size pull-out sleeper sofa. That's five beds, however, you could sleep 2 in the full-size beds. It could possibly sleep up to 8 people.
It has a full kitchen with pots, skillets, cups, glasses, plates, bowls, silverware, etc. Also available are: a microwave, toaster, crockpot, and coffee pot.
All linens, pillows, towels, and washcloths are available to use. The house is also equipped with a washer and dryer.
There is a charcoal grill, fire pit, outdoor table and chairs for your outdoor enjoyment. There is plenty of room for your boat with the ability to charge boat batteries.
The area is great for hunting deer, turkeys, and other wildlife. If you are a golfer- Mt. Vernon and Rend Lake have golf courses.
This rental is about five minutes from a Rend Lake boat ramp(Waltonville, Turnip Patch, Jackie Branch) It is about 13 miles south of Mt. Vernon, 7 miles from Nason, 8 miles north of Sesser, IL., 24 miles from DuQuion, and 45 miles from Shooting Complex(Sparta, IL). This house is located near several restaurants and gas stations. The house was perfect for us! The house is about 15 min to everything - Walmart, Lake, ect..They have everything that you need there. Super cozy place. We will def stay again!

Overall a positive experience. Beds were comfortable, water was hot. Automatic door lock was nice. I would stay here again. Hosts were welcoming and responsive to inquiries. Cute decor, cozy feel. A few pieces of constructive feedback would be to place finish between kitchen and living room floor as its a trip hazard and lower the pots/pans from upper cabinet. There's no fan in the bathroom so it got pretty steamy.

Perfect location

The house was easy to find. Very accommodating for what we needed. The location was great, between Mt. Vernon and Brenton. About 20 minutes from the location we had to be at daily at Rend Lake. Small town and very friendly people. We will definitely stay there again. Penny and Travis checked in to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. Penny also let us know about a festival in the area.

Took my elderly parents back to where they were born and raised. House was exactly what we needed. One step for entry and a walkin shower. House was clean and comfortable. Patio table and chairs outside were.nice. Air conditioning worked great! We will be back.

It was a lovely property and the owners were friendly and easy to work with!

Everything was pretty much as described. Maybe add a picture of the whole outside so it can be recognized better when initially driving up. It was well stocked and decorated and very cozy. We enjoyed our stay and the price was GREAT! Owners were friendly and communicated well. We would definitely rent again :)

Great place to stay. We fished north end of the lake and was 4 miles from one boat ramp and 8 from another. Perfect location for fishing. Plenty of room for parking 2 boats and trucks House was very nice and clean. Clean is a major must for us. Everything we needed was provided. Kitchen was fully stocked. We couldn’t have asked for anything else. But we had needed, the owners were great and would have provided. We will go again.
