Completely fenced in backyard with gas grill and fire pit and plenty of wood to burn.

We love dogs! Dogs are allowed and come with a few rules:
1. Dogs must be kenneled when guests leave the house. NO EXCEPTIONS
2. Please don't allow your pup on our furniture.
3. Please clean up waste in the yard and PLEASE tell us if there was an accident in the house so we can treat it properly so other dogs don't try to contribute to that.
ANY DAMAGES WILL RESULT IN CHARGES TO FIX OR REPLACE THOSE DAMAGES.

Great location for our quick stop

You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their homes. Tastefully decorated with all the amenities. Owners went the extra mile to make our stay and arrivals smooth. Within walking distance of dinner and breakfast joints. Yeah!

Girls Weekend

We stayed here for a girls weekend and we could not have been happier with our stay. Communication with Gayle was great. We got lots of great recommendations for things to do which was so helpful. The decor inside was adorable. Everything about our stay was just perfect!

Absolutely Beautiful Place!!

This place exceeded our expectations. The fenced in back yard along with the outdoor furniture was perfect for allowing our family to hang out together while letting the dogs do their thing. The house was well stocked, beds were all very comfortable-everyone in the house commented on how well they slept. The house is perfect for a large group and pets. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to stay!

Four couples met up at your home for a family get together. Everything was perfect from the kitchen supplies to bedroom comfort and backyard space. We would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you for thinking of all the “extras” that made our visit together so relaxing and comfortable. Sweet little town to visit, as well.

Home away from home!

Our family of 10 enjoyed our New Year's getaway at The Guest House. The house was very clean, tastefully decorated and met our needs as far as kitchen supplies, laundry facilities and room to move around. We enjoyed exploring Washington and appreciated the proximity to St. Louis. We had no problem locating grocery stores and shopping for other needs was adequate as well.

Girlfriends Weekend Get-Away

This charming house was the perfect choice for our annual girlfriends get-away! Large kitchen and family room for our meals and socializing, and plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. We especially loved all the art work and cute decor throughout the house. The location is ideal - we walked into town at least once a day to eat, shop, visit the farmers' market, etc. So many wineries close by, as well. We are already thinking of how soon we can return for more fun and relaxation!

Worked out wonderfully

We rented 2 houses from Gayle for a wedding in Washington, and it worked out beautifully! Both houses were spotlessly clean and wonderfully appointed. There were even some snacks and helpful information left for guests. We would absolutely recommend this property for others!

Wedding Weekend

The house was perfect. Very nicely decorated and plenty of sleeping spaces. Lots of parking on the street and in the driveway. I didn’t get to walk downtown but my grandkids walked with an adult and got ice cream.

A darling little house.

5 of us were there for an event at purina farms. Gayle and Micheal are the hostesses with the mostess. House sleeps 12, 2 full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen . Backyard is fenced in which was great for our dogs. We will definitely be back. Area is quaint with a great walking path along the river and restaurants and grocery shopping close by.

Guest House on Locust

This was the second year in a row for us to stay at this property. It accommodates our needs for our family of 10 wonderfully. The location is excellent and we thoroughly enjoy staying at this house in Washington, Missouri. The only downside this year was that there were mouse droppings in some of the cabinets in the kitchen that required us to thoroughly wash all pots and pans, etc., prior to using them. It’s just a bit unsettling to find the droppings. However, the owners were as surprised as we were and offered to come over right away and set traps.
