This was an over-the-garage studio in a lovely looking neighborhood. However, if you check out the VRBO photos, you will see a large sign which announces the neighborhood with an address. I assumed that was a sign/address for this home - wrong!! We disturbed an elderly gentleman who told us we had the wrong address. A call to Renee and she gave us the correct address. I was awakened 5 times during my sleep due several passing train whistles, which did not make for a good night's sleep. There was a Kerig, but no pods, and a dirty used pod in the coffeemaker. There were ground coffee bags and filters in the cabinet, but no coffee maker for ground coffee. There was one washcloth and one face towel, but there were 2 of us. The studio needed surface cleaning. The bed is low to the ground making it a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Thank you for your candid response. I have hosted more than 400 visits and have never had anyone go to the wrong home. VRBO gives the address to each visitor. I apologize for the confusion. Also, I feel the need to clarify other concerns. The keirig did not have a used pod. Its a re-useable coffee pod in which you add your own coffee. The coffee we provide is available to our guests if they choose.
Also, I am very happy to say the bathroom was completely remodeled just before your visit. We did a deep clean after construction and feel the surfaces were clean and sterile.
The bed does sit a few inches lower than most. I am not aware of any inconvenience this has caused for our guests. It will raised should this be a recurring problem.
It is always our goal to provide a 5 star experience to our guests. I cannot do anything about the train but will take your comments into consideration for the future.
This was a good size above the garage loft which included everything needed for an overnight stay. The owners were very eager and accommodating to upgrading elements that are needed to make this truly a five star rating, which includes a bathroom remodel and improving sleeping accommodations. Had a minor problem with garage door opener but owners were quick to respond. Woodlake is a beautiful neighborhood and typically quiet, however there is a train that passes by but the noise level is minimal. One other issue I had was a discrepancy is pricing, the online cleaning fee and taxes were not listed on the final billing or description and it was a bit disconcerting when they added those additional fees later, although those fees were minimal. So hopefully the Host will address the online fees description and update his information including wifi password, check out time (which were listed differently at house).

About the host
Hosted by Renee Marie Miesse
Bob and Renee have hosted short-term guests since the infancy of the concept. Much of our enjoyment comes from the "world coming to us". With years in the hospitality and cleaning business it's a natural fit. Our goal is provide each guest a 5-star experience.
Why they chose this property
One drive thru the neighborhood and I knew it felt like home. Bob and I both enjoy entertaining and spending time with family. This place lent itself for that. Over the years we have made major improvements and could not be happier.
What makes this property unique
This is a perfect place for someone looking for a unique travel experience. The neighborhood was established in the 1920's. Architecturally very interesting homes with lots of history. We are situated on a very quiet street. We are very particular about our guests and want to keep the neighbors happy while we bring the world to us through our short-term vacation destination.
