Ideally located on a quiet residential street and only two blocks from town and a short walk to Sosua and Alicia beaches. This property enjoys both tranquility and proximity to Sosua's activity and night-life.

The livingroom has a breathtaking view of the ocean and gardens from two sides, and every room has a view of the ocean. Built into a hill, the entrance is on the ground floor but the porch and master bedroom are one level up, allowing for more privacy and amazing views.

Beautiful condo

Very nice condo just as pictured. We loved the view, Johaira the property manager was excellent. We enjoyed having a big selection of books to read. Bed very comfortable and bathrooms nice . Highly recommend.

Location, view, size all more than we expected. Owner extremely pleasant & easy to communicate with.

I hate to say too much good about this for fear it will get booked up & not be availablefor me but seriously for us it was the perfect place to stay. I have some mobility issues & location to beach, restaurant & store was a big issue to us. This was perfect. Also safe & quite unlike many other places we’ve stayed.

The perfect summer vacation!

This condo and its location is the perfect combination for a family to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island. There is a 270 degree view of the ocean form the interior of the apartment. A balcony that allows you to enjoy the ocean air and sound of the surf day in and out. This is my 3rd summer here and I look forward two spending here coming summer here as well. If you have the opportunity to spend time here, you will soon understand the full impact of this condo. Words don't do it justice. I thank Marjorie for providing such an incredibly wonderful place for my family and I to wind down from our busy life in Canada. God bless and I will be in touch soon.

Best family vacation ever!

Words and pictures cannot describe how amazing Marjorie's condo really is. The condo is very spacious, and at one point, we had 4 visiting family members staying with us, and everyone had a place to sleep. The master suite has a large bathroom, and two doors you can leave open(there are screens on every window) and see/hear the ocean from your bed. Marjorie uses a property management company that is very responsive. They answered the phone anytime we called, and were quick to fix any problems that arose. There are 3 air conditioners, one in the living room, and one in each bedroom. A little about us. Myself, my wife, 12 year old daughter, and 17 year old daughter spent 45 days of paradise in Sosua. The pictures cannot capture how close you are to the ocean and two beautiful beaches. During our stay, we spent almost every day in the pool located in the back of the property. Watching the sunset from pool is something we will always remember. We met many of the other condo owners during our stay, and they are quick to help you or give you advice on food and excursions. The only problem we had was choosing to spend the day at either Playa Sosua, or Playa Alicia. Both are a few minute walk from the condo. A couple of things we recommend are: 1) the monkey jungle, where you get to feed monkeys while they climb all over you. My daughters were almost in tears because they were so excited. 2) go see 27 waterfalls. Here you get to climb up and jump off of waterfalls. 3) go try the local restaurants. A word of advice, bring cash, credit cards are not excepted at most places. Our favorite restaurant is called Mori Mai, they make an amazing pizza, and great breakfast. 4) go deep sea fishing. We caught 3 dorado and one barracuda. They give you all the rum you can drink, snacks, and 4 hours on the water trolling. 5) do the paddle board trip that leaves from Playa Sosua. You get to paddle board over coral reefs and explore the bay in front of Playa Sosua. To sum things up, Marjorie's condo is the best place to stay in all of Sosua. The property is safe and has 24 hour security. The security guards are very nice and helpful. Living here with my family for almost two months, we felt perfectly safe and the condo really feels like home. We will be returning every year, as we like to leave the cold and snow(we live in Utah) and have views that people only dream of. Thanks Marjorie for giving my family memories that will last forever.

Best Location, Best Property

You cannot ask for a better unit, the view is to die for. And as always what is most important? Location, location, location! We stayed a month got dropped off by the driver after he picked us up from the airport, and we didn’t get into a vehicle until he came to pick us up to take us back to the airport. Walked everywhere. The hosts are great to deal with every step of the way. If you are looking to vacation if Sosua, look no further this is the Property, full STOP! Blaine

A Touch of Paradiseh

La Puntilla de Rosa is located between Sosua & Alicia beaches on a quiet, well-landscaped lot 35-40 feet from the ocean. The living & dining rooms provides an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean & Mt. Isabel, which is spectacular. The master bedroom also offers a stunning view of Mt. Isabel. The condo is tastefully decorated with a fully-equipped kitchen.

Perfect Location

The booking process was made easy by Marjorie. The location of the building is perfect, secluded and safe yet very close to the hustle and bustle of town. The views from the property and unit are amazing and the neighbors were very welcoming. The unit was comfortable and had all the amenities you would need whether staying a few days or a few months. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

A dream of a home from home

Sometimes pictures might be a bit flattering, but here even the nice photos cannot properly show the true beauty of the place. Spend a dream holiday from A-Z in Marjorie s and Ben s condo, starting from a very smooth planning and confirmation, late night pick up at the airport in spite of my heavily delayed plane and this wonderful place with its dream views and nice quiet garden, pools and terraces. Very secluded and tranquil place, still in walking distance to the two nicest beaches with lots of entertainment (scuba, snorkeling, boat riding, paddling, fishing, excursions to popular sites nearby), a gym, lots of restaurants and bars and also supermarkets, fruit markets and colmados (!! I lived on tons of papaya, mango, bananas and pineapple there...) and many take away eateries if you don t want to cook at times. Very spacious and fully equipped kitchen and eating room, though, so you can also have guests for dinner. The also spacious balcony/ terrace is THE sunset place, and often friends from my diving base in Sosua would gather there for a sundowner and the great view. Nice and helpful but unobtrusive neighbours who want their peace and quiet, too. Stable WiFi and also all other electronics very well kept and maintained. Very considerate care by Julia, the housekeeping, and Wendy and Regina from the local North Beach Management. I am very grateful for one of the most relaxing holidays of my life, and will sure be back one day soon. Thanks to everybody !

Wonderful vacation!!!!

Friends and I stayed at Marjorie and Ben's place for a month this summer. We had such a wonderful vacation! I would highly recommend the place to anyone looking to escape the 'trapped' atmosphere of the all-inclusive resorts. This condo allows for plenty of relaxation, yet you have much more freedom to explore the country. We enjoyed both the tranquil 'Playa Alicia' and the more social 'Playa Sosua' for their differing beach personalities. We loved jumping off the cliff at the back of the property, floating in the beautiful pool, watching the incredible sunsets from the porch every night, and falling asleep to the gentle wave sounds. We brought our own snorkel equipment (also easy to rent or buy in town) and had excellent snorkeling experiences almost every day at both of the local beaches! Jose, the taxi driver endorsed by the condo community, was a wonderful tour guide and took us on many excellent day trips. I would highly recommend checking out the following: 27 Waterfalls (Damajagua), Punta Rusia (snorkeling), Jarabacoa and Salto Jimenoa, Salto Limon and the beach at Las Terrenas in the Samana Peninsula, the cable car in Puerto Plata, "Three Rocks' snorkeling, the Monkey Jungle Ziplining, and hanging out on the beach and watching (or doing) the kitesurfing and windsurfing in Cabarete. The only excursion I would not recommend would be the local 'big-game fishing' that we arranged through a local vendor at Playa Sosua. It seemed to be a scam as no one every catches anything and the seas are so rough that the customers are often seasick the whole four hours. Our favorite restaurant in town, by the way, is called "Finca". It doesn't look like much from the outside, but is absolutely gorgeous and charming inside, and has truly amazing food. Marjorie and Ben are extremely accommodating and forthcoming with information. Their condo is extremely clean, and it looks exactly like the pictures (hard to believe it's that beautiful, but it is!). Bathrooms are not shown in the pictures but are very nice. The security guards, gardeners, maid (Julia), and the management staff are all very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you Marjorie and Ben!

A truly remarkable experience !

Dear Marjorie, I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed my time here this summer. I have been coming to the DR for 6 years and I have never stayed in such an awesome facility before. There is nothing more that I could wish for in terms of beauty, comfort and location. I hope that I will be able to rent your condo once again next year during the same time period. I checked out the website but it does not show July or August on the booking calendar yet. Thank you for everything and I will keep an eye on the booking site so I can confirm next years reservation. I still have one more week here in paradise but I was anxious to drop you a note. Fountain of Youth

We had an amazing time in the DR and one of the reasons was definitely staying here. It was very quiet (birds chirping and wind blowing through the palm trees) and the views literally made me take a deep breadth and relax. The pool and hot tub water is lovely and if you want to get to the ocean quickly I simply jumped off the cliff on the back of the property the most beautiful water in the world. The casino and town are literally a 3 block walk. I highly recommend this property if you are thinking of staying anywhere near Sosua.

A little Spot of Heaven

What words can describe a little spot of heaven. This is exactly what we found.From the first time you open the door you just know that you are at home. Have any stress in your life (this will remove all you have). This IS as they say in the description all that is true. The only thing they left out was the fact you will have to return to your own world way to soon. Thomas is the guardian angel that was an unexpected surprise and makes going to another country and staying in a strange place be just like home. YOU cannot go wrong by coming here and feeling safe and being able to relax. The pool is awesome once the shock wears off the slightly chilled water. The view (no words to say how beautiful) Beach just a hop skip & jump away. Nightlife, if your looking.This is well worth taking a look at feel free to email any questions. I give this 10/10. Breathtaking view

This is a long overdue review for this beautiful unit. My husband & I stayed at la puntilla last August/10. The condo is just beautiful - with views of the water from every angle. It is absolutely breathtaking in-person - sunsets were a sight to remember. The unit is also well designed & very well maintained - management office was always very quick to help if we needed anything. Alycia beach was our absolute favourite. The surrounding area could also not be more perfect - right by the beaches, restaurants, everything! Hope to go back soon :)

Perfect location

The condo is exactly as pictured. (if not better) Marjorie gave us the best advise. The best of all was to have use Jose to get us around. There is really no reason to rent a car. The condo is located so you can walk easily to both beaches and downtown. The view is breathtaking. Jose took us for a tour of Puerto Plata and the Rum factory one day and a plantation another day. I can not image a better location on the island or a better condo. There are two grocery stores within walking distance and you can get everything you need. I thought the other reviews might have over stated the property when I read them. However, like mine they do not do the place justice. The best ever!!

Ready to book another trip to this property!

This place was awesome! There are several beaches within walking distance and the views from the property are incredible - pictures can not give it justice - it's breath taking and your jaw will hit the floor the first time you walk into the property! The location was very private and the oceanside pool and jacuzzi were perfect places to relax at the end of each day. In addition, I was completely spoiled with the daily maid service and super fast internet connection (it was such a solid connection that I was able to use my remote desktop without any issues, as well as my VOIP telephone!). I highly recommend staying here and enjoying all the DR has to offer. All of the locals were very friendly and I can't wait to see them again. Thanks Ben and Marjorie for making this available. Fall in love with the Dominican Republic

I had never been to the Dominican Republic and didn't know what to expect from the local people or this property. The local people were extremely friendly at all times. I spent time walking, running, driving a rented motorcycle and also taking a taxi between towns. At no time did I feel threatened or unsafe as I have in other countries. In addition, this property magnificent in several ways. First, the location is walking distance from Sosua restaurants, beaches, shops, grocery and night life. Second, it is located upon a bluff overlooking the ocean and beach. On the second day of my stay I jumped off the cliff and into the clear turquoise water. I put on my mask, snorkel and fins but didn't need to go any farther than 20 feet before I saw at least 10 different species of fish...pure heaven. The view was breathtaking for sunsets and for watching the moon over the water at night. I am looking forward to returning soon and consider this a great find.

My New Home Away From Home!!!

When I was planning my trip and was looking at renting this place, i thought it was going to be too good to be true. Then i read the previous reviews and knew this was where i wanted to stay. This place is AMAZING!!!! My fiance and i were here for 4 nights and we hated to leave. The views are to die for. On our first day we went to the local supermarket ( 5 minutes away) and bought groceries because we decided as soon as we saw the place that we were not planning on eating our much. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and then some (and I am a big time cook). We had great breakfasts with a view of the ocean every morning, we had romantic candlelit dinners every night. Being in this place was like being in a romantic movie. The beach, the town and anything you could possibly need is so close, yet you are tucked away in a quiet and secluded complex. Perfect!!!! 1 day and 2 nights it rained and we did not care. We opened up the beautiful french style doors, listened to the rain and enjoyed our time relaxing while listening to music or watching a movie (if i were in a hotel and it rained i would have been depressed). This a truly a home away from home and if you prefer the more relaxed and serene scenario, this is your choice HANDS DOWN!!! I could go on and on but I am afraid that i will cause it to get so booked that i will not be able to get a date again for myself. (hehehehe). I am coming back to stay here again in October. This time for a week. Keep the middle of October open for me!!!!!
