Thank you so much. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to your next visit.
We had an amazing stay at this property! Host was very accommodating and the house was fully stocked with anything you would need. Great location it was minutes from the lake and minutes from an amazing little downtown. Will definitely be back!
The house was comfortable. The owners were quick to respond to the couple of questions we had. You can not see the lake from the house, however you can take a short walk and find a small beach that you can fish from. Would recommend for the price.
Nice location outside of the city. Plenty of parking for your guests. Lake nearby. House is older with rustic charm. Kitchen is fully equipped. Plenty of towels and linens. No complaints.
This property has everything you’d need to have a great experience for a larger group. Large kitchen with everything to make meals for a group. Plenty of room for grownups and kids. Close to the lake and close to Rogers and Bentonville, if you want to do things in town. Close enough for a day trip to Branson or Eureka Springs. Beautiful area. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Thank you. We have scheduled maintenance at the end of this season.
The house has plenty of room and one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever stayed at. Since the house is surrounded by trees it is fairly dark inside so we had the lights on most of the time. It is a very short walk or drive to the lake and there are four kayaks for your use in the garage. The owners were very attentive and quickly took care of any issue we had no matter how minor. We had a great stay and will return in the future.

Cluttered Home
This home is very cluttered, hardly any room for suitcases. Plan to spend a half day cleaning, as you are expected to change the beds, clean the bathrooms and mop the floors. Not a place we would stay again or recommend.
Response from VrboOwner on 23 March 2020
We provide pictures of our property, it is not cluttered. We send all guests, and this time as well, a contract which contains the to do list. This is sent before signing contracts or exchanging money. You agreed to the contract and mentioned nothing before, during, or after departure about cleaning. We do not provide daily maid service. As shown on our website, you can request a portion of your security deposit to be used to pay for cleaning services. Almost all guests leave the home clean and get a full refund. After a great number of positive comments (which guest communicate without posting) it is unfortunate you feel this way.

Not quite gorgeous
This property was gorgeous at one time. It’s nicely decorated & good for a large group. Now the deck is in need of repair. The deck furniture is filthy as is the deck. Some of the appliances were dirty & in disrepair. There was lots of dust, cobwebs & bugs laying on the counters in the kitchen & baths. It’s in a sketchy neighborhood although everyone was pleasant & helpful. It is close to the lake. It’s on a very steep street but there is boat parking. We stayed here because they do allow dogs.

Since August 21, 2019 we have been doing major repairs and cleaning to the cabin. This week we just finished extensive deck repairs. Also major cleaning inside and outside. Linda and Sarah went through the entire house doing deep cleaning and exterior cleaning. We lost our maid a couple of months ago. We tried some new ones in the mean while, however they did not work out. We just found a great replacement maid that lives nearby.

Cosy Home
Very nice main floor with lots of space for hanging out with family. Two bedrooms and baths just off the main were very nice. Bedrooms downstairs were less accessible and odd, which wouldn't be an issue except for families with small children or those who might be up for bathroom visits in the night. My family enjoyed their stay, the main floor being cosy and capable, with only the downstairs beds being a bit of a tension with toddlers in tow. Our stay was for Thanksgiving, so cooler weather made heating the downstairs beds essential, and not immediately clear how to do, but figured out and ended fine. Gas fireplace on the front patio was a hit, and the kitchen handled all of our needs. Good place to park the family for a Thanksgiving weekend visit to the Amazium, Pea Ridge battlefield and other day trips.
The property is probably one of the most well-equipped places we have ever rented. It was like walking into your mom's house and knowing that whatever you needed would be there. There were lots of games and movies. The kitchen was fully equipped and a bowl of fruit was waiting for us. There were floats and life jackets available for use in the lake as well as the kayaks. The AC worked great and there were plenty of fans in every room. The beds were comfortable and we found lots of extra pillows and blankets, and towels for the bathrooms. There was a trunk full of toys for the kids to play with. There was an accordion door in the stairway to keep the kids from falling down the stairs. The lake access was within walking distance although we did drive. The swim area is rocky so wear shoes. We ate at Monte Ne Chicken which was wonderful (make reservations). We were close enough to town to access stores and other activities. The only thing that would have been nice is if there was a bathroom downstairs. Also, there are a few boards on the deck that were loose and should probably be fixed. We had a fabulous time with our family here and would definitely recommend this place!

Dirty cluttered home away from home.
This home does have a 2 car garage, only it's filled with your "game room". The house is on a steep lot. Parking is difficult due to small driveway & it's steep. The front parking is difficult to maneuver a truck w/trailer. Inside of home is cluttered & dirty. There were cobwebs & dust everywhere. I'm not sure anyone has cleaned it in over a year. It also had a weird smell & odor that stayed on all my stuff after I returned home! The beds were uncomfortable. The A/C was broke & we called about it & no one came by to fix it whole we were there. It is across the lake but there is no access & you cannot see it. The fire pit outside had chairs thrown in it. We weren't sure what that meant? To burn the chairs?! The bathrooms were dirty & rusted. It had old rugs that looked like they had never been washed. I would not recommend staying here unless you expect it to be a little nicer than an outhouse & tent.
Response from VrboOwner on 23 March 2020
We have had over 80 satisfied groups of people (totaling over 800 guests). Almost all do not respond with a review. Some have provided very positive reviews over the years by phone or e-mail. This is the first negative response we have received which is posted to our website.
This property has been completely remodeled in 2008. The garage has a pool table, air hockey table, tread mill, fishing poles, rafts, life vests, an extra dryer for linen cleaning, a refrigerator, a barbeque pit, and rakes and shovels for the fire pit. From the pictures you can see the cabin is located on a hill. This property is in the mountains which surround over 70 miles of lake. There is a flat drive way on the top which can handle one trailered boat or several cars easily and a second drive way built on the bottom of the property which can accommodate a second trailered boat. The driveway to the garage is steep however it can hold two cars as shown in the picture. We have professional maids inspect and clean the property after every guest. If requested in advance, we can provide full maid service upon departure. We visit the property about once a year for more detailed inspection and repairs. The pictures of the interior on our website show how the cabin is decorated in a country collective style which many have enjoyed as well our family. This property is in Arkansas which is humid. We have two new central heating and air units, a 5 ton upstairs and 2 ½ ton down stairs which keep the cabin very comfortable. We have humidifiers and air purifiers running in the basement which need emptying depending on the humidity levels. If they are not emptied from water they turn off. The maids check this along with guests. When this guest called on the weekend, we had an air conditioner repairmen respond and fix the one unit that was broken. There is an army corp of engineer access to the lake across the street which is a short walk. There is a free boat launch there and also swimming and fishing. About a mile away HWY 94 ends into the lake for free launching of bigger boats. At Horseshoe Bend, about 4 miles away there is a state park for full marina services. We discovered the trash in the fire pit and had it removed. The fire pit is very enjoyable to gather around. The property is cleaned after each guest.
We want our guest to enjoy the cabin as much as our family does.

Spacious House, Not a great part of the lake
The house was large and had plenty of room for our party and was well stocked with most items we needed (no oil or cooking spray so bring that) Good selection of games, movies, blankets, cooking items, and comfy furniture. Toys for the kids downstairs as well. The downstairs living area furniture was pretty dirty so we put a blanket on it. Downstairs dosent have the charm of upstairs and could use some updating. The back deck was great and could use an overall cleaning up of the furniture, cob webs and bugs. We couldn't access the property when we got there and had to get a new code to get the key from the owner. The house was quite warm and took some time to cool down. Entering and exiting the driveway was hard on my Ford Flex. Its very rough. My husbands truck had no issues.
The location wasn't as desirable as the house. Although it is "across the street" from the water, you cannot actually really see the water from the house due in part to a very large tree right outside the narrow front deck and you cannot access the water across the street because there are homes/private property. Most of the properties coming down the road are not well kept. We did have to load up and drive down to one of the 2 public access places on the road. The access closest to the house is very small and unkept. Large open bags of trash had been left and scattered around. Mount Ne access is very grown up and trash scattered as well. The kayaks were great, but only 3 double paddles so we couldn't really use the 4th one. There are some single paddles for more experienced kayakers. Several lifejackets to pick from. It was overall a good experience however we would probley look for a property on a different part of the lake in the future. Of course the condition of other houses in the neighborhood and the lake are by no fault of the owner, I just wanted to give a full review

Thank you. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We will call the Army Corp of Engineers that has the lake access point across the street from the cabin to see if they can clean up the area. Also this portion of Beaver Lake is becoming discovered as a diamond in the rough. As a result, several new houses have been build, with the old ones removed. This will make the area much more attractive in the long run.

cool house but cleanliness and mgt issues
We enjoyed Beaver Lake and the size and location of the property. Would be good for a larger group as we never even went downstairs.
The only complaint we had was that the property was not fully clean when we arrived - there were small hairs in several places like the shower, floors, and counters, it was dusty, there was jelly on the counter and some of the cookware had to be cleaned before we could use it, and there were multiple spider webs inside and out that meant we had to spend some time cleaning on our first day, especially to enjoy the nice porch outside that had tons of spiderwebs. We have several photos if I can figure out how to attach them here. :)
The night before we checked out I messaged the owner to let him know what we found and recommend they hire someone to deep clean before the next stay (since it doesn't appear the property is ever professionally cleaned based on the stay instructions). I didn't ask for anything, just wanted to be polite and let them know before someone else checks in. I immediately got a voicemail then a lengthy message telling me I was lying and "fabricating" these issues and that the house was spotless and I was making it all up. I was then told to fill out a form with a ton of personal information like my DL#, phone number of my employer, next of kin, etc. etc. or else I would be charged $200. I decided to disengage and call vrbo, who advised me not to share that information with a stranger and that no such charge was detailed in my booking contract with the owner.
Overall we had a nice trip, but I was disappointed in the cleanliness and the owner's response - it would have made a lot more sense to just apologize and move on (especially because I wasn't asking for a discount or anything, so why argue?), but the petty and aggressive response tells me they don't know what they are doing when it comes to dealing with customers. The request for such detailed personal information the night before I checked out, after I've complained, made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I've stayed in many vacation rentals in the past but never one that isn't professionally cleaned, and could definitely tell a difference. Still a lovely house and location, just something to keep in mind before booking!

We are dedicated to improving your visit here in the area so you have a great travel experience in Rogers, Arkansas. So we appreciate reviews and suggestions to improve guests stays. Enjoy NWA
Why they chose this property
This property is a great property because it is right across the street from Beaver Lake in the Boston mountains. There is a Corps of Engineer access you can walk to across the street where you can fish for 5 minutes or all day or swim, kayak or just explore Monte Ne be sure to look up Monte Ne on the internet a lot of interesting history of this area. Our children Kayak, swim, fish this cove which is very safe. Monte Ne Chicken House a chicken resturant is 1 mile and is a great experience in its self. It is a family style chicken dinner. There are marina's and state parks close by for launching larger boats or at the end of Hwy 94 the road ends into the lake which is 1 mile away to launch boats free of charge. This area has all kinds of wildlife including deer, fox, and turkeys. Eureka Springs is 35 miles away with offers a beautiful scenic drive. Eureka Springs has lots of shopping, and dinning. This historical town Is well know for the Passion Play, Crescent Hotel and the Statue of Christ. Branson and Silver Dollar City are close enough to enjoy and there is 2 civil war battle fields to visit Pea Ridge or Prairie Grove close by for the history enthusiasts. Also we have Arkansas football games in Fayetteville. Go Hogs. Bentonville has Crystal Bridges and the Walmart Museum on the square in Bentonville. Also, for children there is the Amazeum which is all about science and life skills. Rogers has the Daisy BB gun museum which is in downtown area. Also a new splash park and park for children, kids love. Around Branson Missouri there is Silver Dollar City, Top of the Rock, and Dogwood Canyon which are our favorite places to go visit. So hope you enjoy this area.
What makes this property unique
What we love about our vacation home is open floor plan family, dining and kitchen area that is large and when entertaining everyone is able to be together. When we remodeled this home we put the work into the house ourselves and so we have a lot of kitchen cabinet space to work and a bar for entertaining if needed. A island that works great for a buffet. Outside has a huge deck with a lot of seating for big BBQ parties. We have it stocked with lots of dishes, pots and pan of every size . Two separate family rooms one upstairs and one downstairs. Downstairs is great for children to have their own separate area. Cove is very safe kids can walk across to access to swim and fish. We enjoy home is only 3 miles to Walmart grocery store and that the Monte Ne Chicken Inn is 1 mile away and is a great place to eat. Everything is close to take day trips.
