Welcome to the penthouse level of Island Royale, with beautiful views of Gulf Shores' sandy white beaches and the Gulf of Mexico from your furnished balcony! Enjoy relaxing in this spacious condo with modern coastal decor and an updated full-size kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances! You will also enjoy Island Royale's shared amenities like a swim-thru indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, dry sauna, and a fitness room!

Island Royale is just a mile and a half down West Beach Boulevard with direct Gulf views and beach access. When you aren't cooling off in the condo pool, grab a bite to eat at the famous Hangout of Gulf Shores, less than a mile away, and enjoy delicious food, live bands, and their fun gift shop! You can also spend your days at Waterville USA, and enjoy the amusement park with mini-golf, laser tag, go-karts, and a seasonal water park with exciting slides and rides.

Great Gulf Shores Getaway

This condo had everything we wanted for our trip to Gulf Shores -- an ocean view with a large balcony, lots of room for our family and easy access to the beach. The condo is very well kept and has everything you need for a family getaway.

Great stay

We have been going to Gulf Shores for several years now. We loved how close we were to places, walked almost everywhere. Kids used the pool sone instead of the beac and loved it. Views were awesome. Would definitely stay there again

The penthouse was spacious, clean, comfortable, well stocked with everything you need. The view from the patio was stunning. Check in and out was easy and without any issues.

Easy beach access and great view

While the interior is getting out dated, we weren’t there for the indoors. Excellent beach access and easy walking distance to restaurants. Only complaint about the place was the very noisy and uncomfortable queen bed. They should replace that, but everything else was ok.

Promise Kept

Our family of 5 in one PH condo along with extended family of 7 in another PH condo gathered to uphold a promise to our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She passed away last year but asked us to continue to get together locally and travel together - especially at the beach - her favorite place.We enjoyed Island Royale. The room was super clean and had plenty of room for everyone’s comfort. Beds were super comfy. View from the front facing beach were breathtaking but the view from the small balcony on the parking lot side was actually my favorite. Everything is lit up at night. We will def keep Island Royale on the list of our favorites. Thank you for sharing your home with us for our family to Keep a Promise.

Great Views

Great views, right on the Gulf. Found several dishes that had to be rewashed and scrubbed. Ice maker is very noisy. Toilet in master needs to be replaced. Outdoor furniture needs to be replaced also.

Island Royale Penthouse Suite 106

This place was perfect for our wants and needs ( priorities were: at least 1 walk in shower, comfortable outdoor seating, a large bathroom vanity, convenient location, a balcony facing the ocean, and a pool) We got ALL of that and more ( even cookbooks!). The rooms were very clean. There were luggage carts on the ground floor, excellent parking, 2 elevators, exceptional views, etc. The only things I can think of to make it a more enjoyable stay - would be a blow dryer in each bathroom, an extra kitchen garbage bag, and the ice maker only puts out about 20 cubes a day and the bathroom sinks drain slowly. These are all minor and easily fixable things and I hope to be able to rent this suite the bext time we visit Gulf Shores.

We Love Island Royale

This property was a little Disappointing. We have stayed at Island Royale several times and love the location and the property. We always stay in 3 bedroom units on the Penthouse floors. While this property was clean the unit was your typical rental unit. The furnishings were cheap and very uncomfortable. The beds were like sleeping on the floor they were so hard-even out teenage boys complained about them. The couch and chairs in the family room were equally uncomfortable. Everything in the unit was very out dated and basic. You can tell it is used for strictly rentals and making money. The fixtures in the entire condo are out dated and need replaced. The kitchen needs new skillets-we ended up going to Walmart and purchasing a big skillet to use because the skillets were so bad. Luckily we rent a lot so we brought all the necessities with us bit there were about 6 glasses in the unit-not counting wine glasses. If you have a unit that sleeps 8-10 you need at least that many glasses. Lastly, we had a pretty windy day and the wind ripped through the condo all night. We even stuffed a towel at the front door to stop the noise and it didn’t work. We will be returning to Island Royale-like we do every year, but we will not be staying in this unit.

Good value for the price

Condo was good for our needs. Balcony and balcony furniture are excellent. Beach accessibility is excellent. Pool is small but still ok. Indoor pool is very small. Large dining room table - seats 8.

The views from the balcony over the Gulf are only matched by the comfort and quiet of the condo. Suitable for our family of six, the location was perfectly perched on the beach and walking distance to food, shopping, bars and local groceries and the like.

Beautiful condo

Our stay included 2 couples and 2 ladies. The couples had the rooms with balconies and the ladies shared the “kids” room (full size bed & bunks). The only complaint with the kids room was that there was no fan (obviously no ceiling fan with bunk beds). There needs to be a stand fan because it gets too warm. That caused the people in that room to want the a/c too low & we were cold! The kitchen/dining room/living room area was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, except for a sharp knife and a decent cutting board (NOT glass!). There were sheets available for the hideabed (we didn’t use). The balcony was awesome, beautiful furniture and a spectacular view! Couldn’t ask for more! The king and queen bedrooms were very nice, with balconies. They needed more/better pillows. The bathrooms were mostly fine, but not updated, which was fine because it would just cause the price to be more. In the queen room, it definitely needs the shower caulking to be replaced. It’s black and ugly. It was great having 3 bathrooms. What a plus! Overall, it was a great stay and we appreciated having the parking for 2 vehicles included (although we ended up only needing one). Contact and response by VACASA was great.

Nice Location & Fantastic Views But AC & Mold Issues Were Troubling

The Location is nice, rite on the beach. However, the AC was not working. It was 80 degrees inside wen we arrived and it took >24 hours before it was finally repaired. Customer service did not answer the phone which rang for more than 35 Min before I gave up. I tried texting customer support which eventually responded about 1 hour later. The AC repair people arrived late on the following day and were able to resolve a problem with the rooftop compressor unit. Our guest complained about the presence of black mold in the guest room shower. The mold issue should be corrected ASAP as it could pose a health problem. As previously stated, the location is very nice and the views are fantastic from this 16th floor penthouse, however, some deferred maintenance items are in need of immediate attention.

Not a good value for the money

Great location - just steps away from the beach. But the property is in need of upgrading ie. towels were treadbare; one comforter was soiled (the replacement was no better); shower curtain old and needs replacing. Limited pots and pans. No lobby on the property so limited security. Next time will search for different property in the same area.
