Visiting this unique Penthouse you can revive the old times of Puerto Vallarta, big arches remind you a fabulous era of this traditional town, as well as the gable roof in the top of the building, from the inside the view is magical and relaxing. Of course, the modern touch can be found in its appliances and brand new air conditioning.
As many buildings in Old Vallarta, Brillasol doesn’t have elevator, but the walking to the top is very well worth it, as soon as you get the fifth floor you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the town.
Day and night lifestyle:
First of all, you are at a walking distance to everywhere, the location is unbeatable. Three-minute walk to the beach club “Mangos” and from there, you can find amazing places to eat and enjoy a beach day. Walk across the street and find some food stands and have a taste of the traditional noncommercial tacos, quesadillas, and beverages. Also, you have other options nearby; take the bus at the corner for 10 pesos (US$0.50) to take you close to Playa Los Muertos and the modern trendy neighborhood Zona Romantica, filled with lively spots, boutiques, art galleries and high end restaurants. Also, find a supermarket and the Vallarta Theatre in front of the building. Take a beachside promenade at the most iconic place, “El Malecon,” located five blocks from Brillasol. If you enjoy more a quiet pace, you have churches, monuments, restaurants, and shopping places. Finally, tour guide stands are everywhere to take you explore nearby attractions, so you can have all the fun that your vacation deserves.

Great place right in the heart of things

Loved being in a neighborhood, across the street from the grocery store, a few blocks from the beach and close to Pepe's, a wonderful little taco place. The host and manager were friendly and accessible. We really enjoyed our stay.

This property is as advertised. Beautifully appointed and centrally located to the malecon, shopping, restaurants, beach and fun. Lovely patios for enjoying morning coffee and watching sunsets. Modern amenities. Super hosts, great to work with. Very accommodating.

Wonderful!

Great location away from the noise and bustle but close enough to everything to walk or Uber. The only warning is if anyone in your party has mobility issues it is up 5 flights of stairs and no elevator but you are rewarded with a beautiful view! Third bedroom is accessed by walking through the second bedroom or from outside balcony. It was not an issue for us but something to be aware of. Individual a/c in each room was much needed and appreciated. Perfect home base for our needs and would stay here again.

Excellent Puerto Vallarta Penthouse

This apartment was fantastic. Modern and very comfortable and was exactly as listed in VBRO. It is within close walking distance to various restaurants, shops, and the beach. There is a large grocery store across the street and a gym (Central Gym) about a 5 min walk from the apartment if you want to work out, also a short walk to Cafe des Artistes and Barcelona Tapas--two great restaurants. There is also a yummy taco place (I think it was called Pepe's tacos) that is a short walk--BEST TORTILLAS! There is also a churro guy that makes fresh, hot, delicious churros every evening right outside the apartment complex. The only thing I would mention is that the apartment seems to have a small water heater which means that hot water goes quickly for showers. But, if you don't mind a quick shower, the apartment is fantastic. Property manager is extremely responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Stay - except for the noise

We stayed at Brillasol for 9 nights in February. Check in was easy and the accommodations were beautiful, just as pictured and described – very clean and well maintained. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the stairs were well worth the view. The outdoor spaces were great for morning coffee and afternoon sun. It was nice to have three bathrooms and showers, but there was not enough hot water for more than two short showers before the water ran cool so plan accordingly. There are several inexpensive laundry services within a few minute walk. A large supermarket is just down the street and the beach is a three minute walk from your door. There are many restaurants, coffee shops and bars in all price ranges within a close walk as well but we especially enjoyed the taco stands right across the street – some of the best birria tacos in town! And the fabulous churro stand mentioned in other reviews opens right outside the door every night at 6 pm. The one big negative (at least for us) was the noise level. The Brillasol building sits on a very busy street and there is a taller building directly opposite the apartment creating a canyon of amplified traffic and car stereo noise that woke us several times each night even with ear plugs deployed. If you are not sensitive to late night noise, there is very much to like. The owners are kind and responsive and their property manager Alvaro is just a phone call away if needed, which is unlikely.

The Place to Stay to FEEL Like You’re Actually in Mexico!

We didn’t want to be isolated inside some resort on our first trip to Mexico. We like to experience places more as the locals do. The Brillasol penthouse met that desire and more. It was perfect for us and our two adults sons and their partners. Each couple enjoyed their own bedroom and bathroom, and there are plenty of spaces indoors and on the rooftop terraces to relax and hang out, enjoy the views, and listen to the sounds of the city below. We were fortunate to celebrate the new year here and had a fabulous view of all the fireworks! Linens are all good quality and clean, beds are comfortable. All appliances are new and work well. Each room with its own new a/c kept us all comfortable. Super convenient location with the beach, restaurants, food stands, supermarket, other shops and the famous Malecon beach boardwalk all within 1-5 blocks. We always felt safe! Just learn to say, “Estoy bien, gracias “ to the street peddlers and they promptly smile and leave you alone. The 5 flights of stairs really aren’t bad at all, you can stop at each landing on your way up and look over the balcony to enjoy the sights and sounds of Old Town (and you’ll need the extra exercise to burn off all those delicious calories you’re sure to consume!😊). The owner, Hugo, was very helpful in providing information and giving me suggestions for restaurants, and his property manager was reliable for the check in and check our and during our stay when we had a question. The only negative thing we experienced was a lack of hot water, but I think the water heater just must not be big enough to accommodate 6 people taking a shower one after the other - we would run out after 2 showers. We just adjusted our schedules to make it work! I am also going to suggest that the owner add a few more items to the kitchen (more cutlery, spatula, etc) and also beach towels, but other than that, we had everything we needed! We absolutely loved our experience here and would stay again!

Wonderful Stay

This condo was perfect for our group of five adults. Great location, walkable to restaurants, shopping and the beach, conveniently located by Ley’s supermarket. The condo was very clean and the beds quite comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It has a perfect combination of Mexican charm with modern touches. Communication was great with both Hugo our host and Alvaro, the manager. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. I would certainly stay there again.

Great Location

Great location in the 5 de Diciembre area of PV. A one minute walk from Playa Camarones. Plenty of good food around the area n a large market across the street. Two pharmacies down stairs if you get a stomach ache from all the food. The rental was nice and big with A/C units in each room to stay cool. Chuy was very helpful when we arrived. He helped us get situated and gave us some good restaurant recommendations. We had an issue with the water and Hugo sent someone to take care of the issue. Chuy was also there to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you Hugo and Chuy. This is a beautiful home and my family and I look forward to visiting in the future.

Clean, bright and large! The property is great for a large group and is close to The Malecon. New AC -- the pictures show the old units. A grocery store is across the street, which was so convenient. The manager was easy to work with and was very responsive. We'll stay there again.

Beautiful condo .... beautiful area!

Our stay was amazing. The condo was well equipped with new appliances, dishware, bedding, etc. A wonderful huge space inside with beautiful balconies to enjoy the ocean and people. Close to a large grocery store, shopping, restaurants and bars .. we had evything right there. The area and its people are warm, friendly and always helpful. Hugo, our host was super attentive and was always available, as was his assistant Gabriel. Check in and check out were simple. Large screen TV and internet also worked very well. We will certainly return to this wonderful Penthouse. And ..... we will certainly refer this little gem to our friends and family. Thank you Hugo for allowing us to share your beautiful Casa. Great Spot!

Myself and two of my friends spent 2 nights at this condo and it was perfect! The property manager met us at the building at the exact time he said he'd be there and was very helpful showing us the ins and outs of the place. About a 5 minute walk to the Malecon. Absolutly no issues.

One of us works for a non-for profit organization which provides services to undeserved communities, and other as a Legal Interpreter. Thus, both of us need a place to enjoy and release stress. Brillasol is our dream home for vacation and retirement in the future.

Why they chose this property

We just bought this penthouse on last October. We put a lot of heart and effort to make this dream place possible. As we mentioned before, we live in a chaotic city, so, it is important to have a peaceful place to have a break, but still enjoy the night life vibe of a fun city. Brillasol's location is just the right one. We know what we want when it comes to choose a place to stay, so we are recreating all the amenities and the local charm for you but also for us.

What makes this property unique

The penthouse was recently renovated, so you can fell a touch of modernity through the appliances, but also tradition from the structure and decor. You won't feel isolated, the location of this place gives you the opportunity to socialize with locals and people from anywhere, just crossing the street
