Nice Norman cottage from the 19th century, close to Yport and Étretat, in the heart of a protected natural site. The impression of being at the end of the world, surrounded by nature, between sea and forest, but only 5 minutes from the beaches and shops. A small hidden paradise, the La Mare aux Loups estate is a rare and ideal place to meet up with friends or family, to unwind, hike in the forest, by the sea, or simply laze in the property's garden.
THE HOUSE
The house was recently renovated to combine modern comfort with the charm of old stones and antiques.
On the ground floor, you will find the living room, the kitchen (fully equipped), the utility room, the bathroom (shower and toilet). A wood stove is provided in the living room (wood offered). Connected TV, bluetooth speaker, books and board games are also available.
For musicians, we leave our guitar to liven up the evenings by the fireside or outside after a barbecue.
The house is equipped with Wifi (free) and receives 4G well.
The 3 bedrooms are upstairs: 2 are made up of large double beds (160x200) and the 3rd, smaller, has comfortable bunk beds suitable for adults (90X200) The beds are made upon arrival and we offer you a set of towels and kitchen towels for your stay.
If necessary a baby kit is available on request. It includes high chair, travel cot, changing mat, bedroom potty, bathtub, booster seat, baby cutlery, books, toys, safety barrier ... etc
OUTDOORS
The domain of La Mare aux Loups is a unique, secret place, served by a long private path that winds between several hectares of wild and unspoiled nature.
A hiking path is accessible on foot from the house for great walks in the forest or on the cliffs.
Shops and restaurants are reachable within 5 minutes by car in the charming seaside resort of Yport.
The completely private and fenced garden is out of sight. You will find outdoor games (table tennis, badminton, swing, pétanque, children's hut ...) as well as a barbecue, a garden furniture and deckchairs for unforgettable moments with family or friends.
If you are discreet and patient, you can observe, in the early morning or at dusk, foxes, roe deer, raptors, wild ducks, woodpeckers, squirrels ...
FEATURES
In accordance with French law, we will have you sign a contract and an inventory on the day of your arrival.
We do not live on site but we are at your disposal by email for any questions and clarifications. Our concierge (French / English) welcomes you and can answer all your requests or services. We also put a guest book at your disposal to facilitate your stay in the house. And it is with great pleasure that we will make you benefit from our good plans.
Arrivals take place between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and departures no later than 11 a.m.
ENVIRONMENT AND ACTIVITIES
Our house is located outside the village of Saint Léonard, just next to Yport. It is a small seaside village, surrounded by the majestic cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre. It is famous for having hosted many impressionist painters and still today traditional fishing boats dock on its beach. This charming seaside resort which has kept its authenticity, is ideal for swimming or enjoying a seafood dish facing the ocean. It also has all the local shops that you may need.
