Anchored on the sandy shores of Catawba Island, experience breathtaking views of Lake Erie and a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy the Great Lake Life! Take in the beautiful summer sunsets and playful water activities, as well as the regular sightings of spectacular wildlife during all seasons of the year. Boat / trailer parking available on site. The wintertime offers an unbelievable view of the vast frozen Great Lake Erie, akin to an arctic world that you have to experience! Snowmobile / ATV access available for the world class fishing!

All common areas feature expansive views of the lake. The fully stocked kitchen and dining area offer plenty of storage and counter space for large families and/or longer off-season stays. The living room includes a large 4K Smart TV, lakeside windows, and clean comfortable furniture.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Trash must be at the curb Sunday evening. Pick up is 6am Monday.
Clean grill if used.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
All trash in bin at roadside upon leaving or Sunday during your stay. Pick up is early Monday morning.
NO trespassing on neighbors property. No use of private beach 4 lots down. Strictly enforced.
Excessive laundry/cleaning fee may be charged if beyond normal expected.

Home was more beautiful than the photos. Location was perfect for us in a quiet residential area but with easy access to everything. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the deck was huge. The lake views were amazing.

Amazing location on the lake. House is beautiful and very comfortable. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay. The upstairs was a little hot in the 90 degree weather but all the rooms had fans.

GREAT LOCATION - BEAUTIFUL HOME

Our group absolutely loved this home. Very clean, comfy beds, amazing views. The location is quiet and very convenient for a quick jaunt to grab the ferry to PIB in Port Clinton, or to Kellys Island via Marblehead (we went to KI and had a great day.) We truly enjoyed our little getaway and plan to rent again.

Eclipse April 2024 - Family Time

This home was on Lake Erie and was exactly what we were looking for. The entire family was there and the house was large enough where everyone had time to spread out and the outside was perfect for eclipse viewing.

Stunning View!

The view… amazing! My family and I spent many hours on the deck taking in the gorgeous view. The house fit our needs and was as described. There was plenty of room for us to spread out. The neighborhood is quiet. We were sad to leave. The kids are already asking to go back next year!

mini family reunion

Our family group attended a wedding in nearby Catawba Island and wanted to have more togetherness than hotel rooms provide. This property had ample living/ dining/ kitchen space for our group of 8 to gather. With the four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, we also had our own spaces and didn't have to wait on line to use the bathroom. The house is RIGHT on the lake, which is ideal for warmer weather! It also has many cute nautical decorative touches. When we had a question, our email was responded to promptly.

Roomy and relaxing, but it’s really about the views!

We loved the room sizes and layout of this house. Nearly all of the rooms had windows overlooking the lake, which was directly behind the house. The lake there was shallow and marked boat-free for safe swimming. The sunset view was spectacular.Adjustable beds in the largest bedrooms were extremely comfortable. Rarely can I say this, but I had no problems sleeping on that bed. My teenage girls were in the room with the twin beds, which they said were a little less comfortable; that room was also the only one that had a curtain for a door. It was right next to the kitchen, which is where we spent our evenings, and they really wished there was a door to keep our noise out.Regarding utilities, the water pressure and temperature was fine on both levels. The A/C had a very hard time keeping up, registering at 78 degrees around the clock for 4 days… but to be fair, temperatures outside were in the mud-to upper 90s (triple-digit feels, with the humidity), so any structure with such wide open spaces would have found it difficult. Box or oscillating fans were available for each of the bedrooms, which helped a lot.Overall, we were very pleased with the property, and would love to stay there again sometime in the future.

Great house on Lake Erie

What an amazing home on Lake Erie. We had such a great time with family & enjoyed some better weather & boating. Everything was perfect, very clean, roomy, & the big plus it’s right on the Lake literally the deck is right at the lake level. We did get in there but you had to be careful getting in & out because of the rocks. The grandchildren did not have any problems at all. The best part was watching the sunset over the lake simply breathtaking. We definitely will rent this again. We loved ever minute we were there, just went to fast is all.

A room with a view

Beautiful, spacious home with all the amenities a family could need. Unmatchable location. A huge walkout deck that goes right upto the rocky breakwall. Due to rising water levels there is no beach, but for me, that just brings the lake and all its beauty closer. Peaceful neighborhood that was the perfect mix of private and friendly. When the kids wanted to go in the lake, the neighbor offered to let them use their cement access ramp.

Nice place for family vacation

We enjoyed our stay and the home has many nice features - like the beautiful view of Lake Erie and nice living space. We had 6 adults and a one-year old. There was plenty of room for all. A couple of things would have made it even better - two of the bedrooms (the master and room off of the kitchen) didn't have doors. To get into the lake from the house one either had to climb down the rocks (which most of us didn't want to do) or walk down three homes and go in where there was a boat launch (which we weren't of at first aware). It would also be great to have a few things to use in the water (such as a raft of tube). But overall, it was a very nice place to stay for our family vacation.

Great Setting, Roomy Comfortable House

The house is very close to the lake/ beautiful sunsets and all around Great Lake views. Large deck with ample seating for large groups. The water is shallow for at least a quarter of a mile out- ideal for younger children's water play. Beds are very comfy and bathrooms are updated and very clean. If you are staying for several days you may want to bring all the basics you need to prepare food as well as baggies, tin foil, paper towels, etc. The fridge is immaculate, but empty. There are, however, several large grocery stores nearby. We had a great time on the lake and the house is one of the better rentals we have stayed in. Lots of room to spread out, but you'll most likely spend most of your time in the large kitchen and on the huge deck. Matt also allowed us to stay an extra day and we were grateful as it turned out to be the nicest day of our stay.

We had a great stay at this home. It is clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the lake from their large outside deck. We had a brief issue with the thermostat when we arrived (mostly user error), but we received an immediate response when we sent a message.

A disappointment caused primarily by poor housekeeping and maintenance. Portions of the kitchen/dining area ceiling were covered with spiders and webs. Master shower handle was loose or broken, second floor shower drain backed up. Upon arrival we discovered the broken electronic key system which the home rep knew of but did not warn us about. Suggestion: fix it today. Or warn your next customer. We figured out the key, but the confusion was stressful and house rep's perceived arrogance upon followup through text message was not appreciated. Also found dirty dishes in dishwasher with no dishcleaning soap.

Great vacation home

We had a wonderful long weekend! This is the second year we have come up to Lake Erie and stayed in this beautiful lake home. The house is perfect and has everything you would need. We played several of the board games and cards they had on hand. Our kids loved the big Jenga game. The view from the deck is our favorite. Proximity to the ferries, restaurants, stores makes everything so convenient. The new grill was perfect, we were able to grill the fish we caught on the lake. Thank you form sharing your amazing home.
