Kitchenette is equipped with microwave, induction cooktop, full size fridge and freezer, and other small appliances.
Spacious private deck , plenty of parking, off street, and (secure) shed for skis & bike storage.

Perfect Getaway

This place is easy access to downtown, super clean, and has all the amenities needed. Gorgeous views and a beautiful backyard - would recommend to anyone stopping in Fernie!

Lovely, quiet place in Fernie

This is a great spot near the edge of the main section of Fernie. Sharon is a wonderful host. The coffee, beer, water welcome package was a great touch.

Mountain Biking Trip

This place was a perfect place to kick back and relax after long days on the trails. The storage for bikes is very secure and private, the place is like new inside and the chairs on the back deck by the yard are a great place to relax.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Fernie. Sharon is a very responsive and generous host. The accommodations were perfect for our needs, especially having secure storage for our bikes. Walkability to downtown allowed us to walk off our deliciously warm croissants from House of GATO!

Great and central apartment for a couple!

Had a great stay in Sharon's property! The apartment is within walking distance to downtown and all restaurants. It has a great kitchen with everything you need and it is supplied with some local goodies upon arrival! Sharon was great to communicate with and let us use her backyard shed to store our skiing gear and she even let us know that we left a charger behind after we left, that she was willing to mail to us! Would stay again if we come back to Fernie!

Great place for a couple or couple with a young kid

My son and me stayed there for two nights for our ski trip. Sharon was there to help us check in easily and provide a short introduction. It is a very nice, cozy, and clean place. It has all your needs for a short stay. Kitchen is adequately equipped so you can cook your simple meals if don’t want to dine out. Bathroom is super clean with everything. It is only 10 mins drive to the skiing resort. We definitely will check this place for our next trip.

Wonderful studio apartment.

This above garage studio apartment is recently renovated and everything is in brand new condition. No one beside, above or below you means it is quiet in the suite. Sharon is a lovely host and the goodies provided were very much appreciated. Great central location within walking distance to the downtown core.

Amazing property. Amazing host.

Five stars isn't enough. Sharon is an incredible host. Her beautiful studio is immaculate. Perfectly situated at the edge of downtown Fernie. Just a short walk to the restaurants and shopping. Every time I walked up the back stairs to the studio and opened the door it felt like I was returning home. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties over the years. None were better than this experience.

Fly Fishing Paradise

My husband and I came to Fernie for an eight day flyfishing trip. Sharon‘s upstairs loft was spic and span and extremely comfortable. Everything we needed for a long week was provided for us. The location is just a couple of blocks from downtown where all of the wonderful restaurants shops and bars Were within easy walking distance. After a long day in the mountains we would come back to our rental For a glass of wine overlooking her wonderful garden in the backyard and then a nice dinner on the town. I would highly recommend this rental to a couple for a romantic getaway, ski vacation or summer adventure. Sharon was a very gracious and accommodating hostess. We hope to return and stay with Her again in the future!

This is a fantastic property (exceeded expectations). 5 min walk from shops and restaurants. We were in town for a guided fly fishing trip. Just 20 min drive from the apartment we enjoyed a fantastic day of fishing on the Elk River. Then back to the apartment which is well equipped and more than comfortable. Sharon made everything easy. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a great place to stay in Fernie.

It was smaller than expected but what a great use of space! Nicely done and everything you need. The welcome basket was not expected.. used everything, in fact we went downtown and bought more of the specialty coffee. Train tracks are very close and we wondered if we would sleep well that night, we did all 3 nights. Must've been our love of trains and the comfortable bed.

Lovely Stay in Fernie

We loved everything about our stay at Blue Spruce Guest Suite. The location could not be better—just a quick five-minute stroll to downtown’s cafés, shops, and pubs, yet tucked away on a quiet street so we slept soundly each night.The suite itself is sparkling-clean and thoughtfully outfitted. The kitchenette has everything you need (full-size fridge/freezer, induction cooktop, microwave, and plenty of small appliances), and the private deck is a great spot for morning coffee with a mountain view.Our host went above and beyond: she greeted us with a generous welcome basket filled with fruit and local treats, and her recommendations made planning easy. We followed several of her tips and enjoyed fantastic meals and hikes—all within easy walking distance.Thanks again Sharon, and we'll be back!

I have considered not writing this review but I wish I knew about the following issues prior booking our stay.The place is spotless indeed but that might be a problem. On the day of our arrival in Fernie, our dog sitting arrangements fell thru and we had no choice but take him with us. Prior to check in I have explained the situation to the host, after being admonished, my request to allow the dog outside on the deck ONLY and sleeping in the car with him at night, was approved. About an hour later, the host told us she called VRBO and I need to sign a liability document for the potential damages of the dog inside of the unit. She humiliated me by saying that she had done this a long time and she knew that I would take him inside. Three days into our 5 days stay she humiliated me again by reminding me that I should not had brought a dog with me and she should have cancelled the booking, although she just admitted that we complied and we never took the dog inside.In my mind, when you have a business in hospitality industry it is necessary to be able to make your guests welcomed. None of this was true in our case. Besides the host attitude, the written policy of the unit is that you will pay for any stains on the rug, towels or even the bathroom sink. This is the price you have to pay for a spotless room: we tiptoed inside of the room.Another issue is the train sound: 5-10 times a day, the train passes right at the end of the backyard. When outside, cover your ears.

Super Clean & Modern & Has Everything

Superb location, close to everything in Fernie. Close to Elk River trail. Downtown easy access. Amenities are excellent in this clean and modern property. Sharon is an excellent host! Great views from all the windows and a huge backyard with chairs to enjoy the view! Thank you for setting up the BBQ for us!
