Welcome to 'Hope Cottage', an oceanfront home located on the very desirable south end of Garden City Beach, just 1.9 miles south of the pier. Featuring a large, fully equipped kitchen for preparing family meals. An expansive brand new table that accommodates 18 graces the centrally located dining room. Enjoy incredible ocean views from the spacious living room that also features a convenient wet bar stocked with a variety of barware. Only steps from the living room is a fully furnished oceanfront deck that is an ideal spot for relaxing and taking in the sea breeze. Hope Cottage offers 7-bedrooms on 3-levels of this roomy oceanfront home from the ground to 2nd story. Ground floor bedroom not accessible to the 2nd floor through interior steps. Enjoy your own oceanfront private pool in the fenced-in backyard. Extra perks to 'Hope Cottage' include an elevator (accessible from ground floor to first floor only), an upper level oceanfront balcony, a private walkway to the beach, and parking for 6+ vehicles.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was great. Got to original house and the owners were there and refused to honor our rental.(fully paid for). Seastar found us a better house on beach and we were able to put boat at friends dock. I would use them again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros:- Beautiful beachfront - Although the pool area wasn't the nicest, it was good to have one and it had both sun and shade- Large living room, dining and kitchen - Good for a large crowd - Nice porch with comfortable gliding chairs- Good laundry - Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean- 15 minutes from Murrells Inlet- 2 good restaurants a 5 minute walk- Staff was responsive to a couple of things that needed attention during our stay with the exception of SundayCons:- The house in general was very tired and worn out- Kitchen was not clean, especially the cabinets and drawers. Although it was well-stocked, I felt like we needed to wash everything we used and many pots, pans and cookie sheets were rusty and and in bad shape. Things were also just stuffed everywhere with no order to it and there was no room for our groceries. Someone needs to do a good clean out and tidying up- The issue on Sunday was a leaky faucet in the kitchen sink. We had to wait more than a day to get this fixed which was very inconvenient since we were cooking for 13 people. - Living room rug and furniture was very dirty and these woven ottomans had huge holes in them - just throw them out! They were an eyesore- The dining table was also in bad shape- The downstairs bedroom with the twins and bunk beds and game tables was a strange room and would only be good for teens or young adults. It was a waste of a full bath that could have been used upstairs- There was no bathroom in the hall on the upper floor. Whoever stays in the bedroom that has the queen bed and bunks has to come down a floor to use the bathroom that is also shared by a bedroom down there and open to the main floor. Not a great situation. Knowing the layout of the bedrooms and baths would have been helpful in planning this trip. Overall, it could be a good house but definitely needs some attention. It needs a good cle

50th wedding anniversary celebration

Excellent week at the beach! House was very roomy for 18 people. Kitchen has everything you might need. Felt like our own private beach. Part of pool is shaded for those trying to stay out of sun. Only complaint is the dryer. It took 2 cycles for clothes to dry.

Family vacation for four generations

The pictures of the property need to be updated. We were happy to find new linens and other added items that were not evident in the current pictures. We did not, however, understand that the 7th bedroom was a separate ground floor room with two twin beds. We were unable to use that room as a bedroom which caused a bit of a challenge since we really needed 7 rooms. A nice addition was an air hockey table and a shuffleboard table in that "bedroom" so it was really more of a game room. The management staff was responsive when called - very nice and helpful - however, it appears the dryer may be on its last leg. The kitchen is well stocked; the wet bar area has a drink fridge which helped with refrigerator space. Overall, except for the missing bedroom, this is a great house for large families. (there were 17 of us, ages 1-83.) The long dinig table was awesome!!! The beach felt private and uncrowded too. We had a great week.
