Beautifully decorated, this 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home has large wrap decks with open and covered areas – perfect for enjoying sun and shade! Island Breeze is pet friendly too! Island Breeze is decorated and equipped with your comfort in mind. After a fun day at the beach, curl up in the cozy living area and watch the sun set or enjoy a game of ping pong on the living area game table. An assortment of DVD’s, books and board games are also available for your entertainment. Watch the waves roll in while prepping delicious meals for your family in the well-equipped kitchen that is equipped with an automatic drip coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, microwave, blender, crockpot, ceramic cooktop, oven, garbage disposal and refrigerator with ice maker and in door water and ice dispenser.

Island Breeze sleeps 8 to 10 with three spacious and comfortable bedrooms, all equipped with full private bathrooms. A laundry area with full sized washer and dryer is located off the main hall and a bonus half bath is located near the living area for your convenience. The northeast master bedroom is equipped with a king-sized bed, TV, DVD player, ceiling fan and comfortable seating. The attached master bath has a double vanity, large soaking tub with bay view and separate shower. A private door from the master bath leads out to the East deck where couples can enjoy a quiet cup of coffee while the morning sun rises. The middle north bedroom is equipped with a king-sized bed, TV, DVD player, ceiling fan and comfortable seating. The attached private bath is equipped with a combination tub with shower and double vanity.

The northwest bedroom is equipped with one queen bed and one set of bunks with a full-sized mattress on top and bottom. Please note the top bunk has a 150-pound weight limit. This youngster friendly room is also equipped with TV, DVD player and has an attached private bath. This full bath has a combination shower and tub.

Enjoy the sounds of the surf and the beachside views as you relax on the decks that wrap around the east, south and west sides of the home. The east deck has an open area and the south side of the east deck has a large, covered area with an outdoor table and various additional seating. The large south deck stretches across the beachfront exterior of Island Breeze and is equipped with multiple deck and lounge chairs perfect for enjoying the sun and the view. The west facing deck is open and covered. Two outdoor showers are located on the west and east stair landings. Island Breeze has gates at both sets of entry stairs for your convenience.

We had a truly wonderful stay with Boardwalk Realty for Island Breeze! From start to finish, the team was incredibly responsive and kind, making us feel genuinely welcome. As dog owners, finding a place that feels like home is rare, but this house was a sanctuary for our pups. The gated deck was a total game-changer, allowing them to enjoy the fresh air safely while we relaxed inside. After long days of exploring, those 'uber' comfortable beds were a dream.One quick tip for fellow travelers: If you’re booking through VRBO with pets, I’d recommend a quick follow-up call to ensure the realty team has your dog’s info on file—there was a slight glitch in the system for us, but the Boardwalk team handled it perfectly once we flagged it.

Private with a great view

The house was clean and as shown on the listing! The beach was private and the views were amazing. We had six adults and it was a very comfortable place to stay. There was plenty of room and easy walk to the water.

A little slice of paradise!

What an amazing week at an amazing property! This was our first visit to Dauphin Island, and it certainly will not be our last. The house was clean, well appointed, and perfectly laid out to enjoy every possible moment on the beach. The absolute best part was the huge gated deck that my puppy could enjoy at his leisure along with us. So many hidden gems on the island that we have yet to explore, and we can't wait to return! Thanks for the spectacular hospitality!

Great location

House was well appointed, but there was construction next door that blocked our view as well as was dangerous with the children being around the moving machinery, this was not pictured when we rented the property. A/C went out the first night but our agent was very quick to send out a repair as well as offered to relocate us. We did not get to enjoy the house, but may try again at a later time if the construction is not an issue.

Winter Retreat

We had a relaxing and peaceful time at Island Breeze. Everything you might need for a beach vacation. There was plenty of utensils to do our own cooking, although the dishwasher wouldn’t stop running on its own until we turned it off. The deck with the Gates was perfect for our Sheltie to enjoy the outdoors and be safe. The beds were very comfortable. The only worry was that we had trouble with the keys to the house. New keys or new look locks would be helpful. Annette, the Boardwalk employee, was quick to respond when we couldn’t get the keys to work when we arrived. A special thanks to her. Other than that a very nice vacation rental and would love to come again sometime.

Nice house, but be aware...

The house itself is nice. It is right on the beach and close to the shoreline. You can see the ocean from the deck. We spent hours watching the ocean and the Pelican's fishing. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, which was a plus for us.Things that were not expected:One week before we were to arrive we got an email stating we need to provide our own beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc, and that we would get a "starter kit" for toilet paper and dish washing. Basically, each bathroom got 1 roll of toilet paper. There is a place you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas- we were two couples and it would have been 150 each couple for the week to rent the chairs and umbrellas. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO's on beaches and have NEVER not been provided with beach towels, chairs, and more than one roll of toilet paper. The other thing that was not great was the cleanliness of the place. It looks like the baseboards have not ever been cleaned. The middle bathroom had pee on the baseboard, and all the doors had brown marks from hand prints. It shouldn't be that hard to wipe those off after each guest. My friend said it is one thing if it is your dirt, but kind of gross when it is someone else's dirt. To sum it up, we had a good stay overall, but would not rent again.

Island breeze during COVID-19

We love dauphin island. Been coming here for over 30 years. This property was nice and accommodating with the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. However, it was disappointing that the dishwasher didn’t dry the dishes and that the master bathroom had poor drainage. The secondary bath toilet had difficulty flushing. Loved the closed in porch for the dog. The unfortunate thing was that we were told the lot in front of the house between this house and the water was owned by this property. The neighboring homes used this beach so it didn’t just belong to us. We have been to dauphin Island many times and have always had our own beach front. When we called the manager of the property at boardwalk realty they said that the beach was public access up to high tide but not on the beach. The problem is the neighboring homes used the lot in front of our property as their beach and the other homes don’t have beachfront. This included the people across the street on the bayside. There were as many as 50 people on our beach as the 6 homes nearby didn’t have any beach front. This was not good as we were hoping to be isolated from other families during Covid. We made it work but will not stay here again.

We are sorry that people from neighboring homes encroached on your space, the vacant lot south of the home is private property belonging to this home, and should be respected as such by neighboring guests. The beachfront on the Island up to the high tide line does allow access which is what allows guests to stroll the beaches, search for shells, etc, but that does not allow others to be past that onto your vacant lot. We have reached out to the companies managing the surrounding homes so that they will communicate to their guests that the large open area in front of Island Breeze is private property to help eliminate this issue for future visits. We have also ordered private property signs to aid as a deterrent for trespassers. A plumber has been dispatched to address the slow drain/flush. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we are glad you enjoyed the other aspects of the property. Thank you for visiting Dauphin Island once again, it is always wonderful to have visitors to the Island who return year after year and love it as much as we do!

A nice week

Boardwalk Realty was easy to work with and well-organized. The house sits back from the beach but is a shirt walk with no obstructed views of the Gulf. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the covered porch. The fishing chairs on the Gulfside of the house were comfortable for watching ships, dolphins, and the waves. I gave the rating 4 stars because the mattresses on both king beds were too soft and very uncomfortable. Pirates Bar and Grill and Capt’n Snapper were two good restaurants with great views of the water. We didn’t know about the Sunday brunch at the bakery. We will do that next time!

Great spot!

Staying here for the week was great! I lost my brother, and my Dad 3 weeks apart in 2018. We had always talked about doing something like this, so in celebration of their lives. My Sister in Law flew in from MD, to Birmingham AL. We live in Montgomery. My 84 yr old mother lives with me. So we had a Family time for a week. We loved the house, the layout, the Deck, and the beach. Thank you for the use of your Beautiful beach home!

The house was wonderful! The view of the beach from the front deck was hard to leave. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. Each bedroom has its own attached bath , which was very nice. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Beautiful setting and most comfortable bed!

Island breeze has a beautiful sandy beach ocean setting. We chose it because we could bring our little Pomeranian with us and it is right on the ocean. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed ever! The views were spectacular during the day and stargazing at night. Would have been nice to have a full size bar of soap for showers. A scrubby to scrub the pots and pans, and something to scrub the handle on the refrigerator. Paying through VBRO resulted in $200 more cost than the area realtor was charging. I didn’t question her about the discrepancy but found it very odd. Most of the rentals that I’ve had through VRBO include shampoo, full-size soap, ample laundry detergent, and coffee. Since this is a new property acquired by VBRO perhaps the owners don’t know this. All in all it was a wonderful, beautiful vacation that we enjoyed immensely. We would not hesitate to stay here again for the scenery and ability to bring our little dog.

We loved everything about this home, especially the wrap around porch! The short walk to the beach was super convenient, and the house had pretty much everything we needed! If you plan on cooking, bring knives for chopping/dicing/etc! The people are very nice- this was our first time visiting the island and we can’t wait to come back!!

We rented the home for 7 days but enjoyed less than 24 hours as we were told we must vacate due to the incoming storm. The home and location are really lovely and we hope to return to the area again this year.

Dog Friendly Gorgeous Beach Front Home

This house was absolutely gorgeous and beach front. It is so difficult to find large homes that are beachfront​, reasonable prices, and also dog friendly. If you are looking for somewhere to stay we couldn't recommend this place enough!
