About this property
Nanteague - quirky luxury chalet-style cottage, sea views across a wooded valley
20% DISCOUNT ON ANY NIGHTS MORE THAN 7 (due to the limitations of the Vrbo booking system, the discount will not show on the initial quotation but will be corrected manually when booking).
Nanteague is a quirky but luxury chalet-style cottage with beautiful sea views across a wooded valley to Falmouth Bay.
The front door leads into an open-plan sitting and dining area with adjacent kitchen and is floor tiled throughout.
The lounge area has a two-seat sofa, wicker armchair, and a wall-mounted flame effect electric fire. Also a 40” HD TV with Freeview+ PVR including apps for Catch-up (BBC, ITV, Channels 4 & 5), Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Sky Entertainment via Now TV. There is also a DVD player, telephone for incoming calls, an Amazon Alexa Echo Dot smartspeaker with Bluetooth connection, and free superfast WiFi internet.
The kitchen is well equipped with quality 1½ bowl ceramic sink, fridge with small freezer compartment, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, Tassimo coffee maker, electric double oven/grill with 4-ring hob, and extractor.
Also downstairs is a large fully tiled bathroom that has a large double shower cubicle with powerful mixer shower, corner bath, WC, heated towel rail, and washbasin with shaver point and heated mirror.
Upstairs is the large eaves bedroom (so parts of it have LIMITED HEADROOM) but has a feature Velux cabrio balcony window which opens out giving the impression of being on a balcony yet still in the room that enjoys uninterrupted views across the wooded valley to the sea. There is a 6' superking-size pocket sprung mattress bed with choice of summer or winter weight duvets, or single duvets if preferred, extra blanket and pillows, bathrobes, and hair dryer. Built-in wardrobe and shelving, wicker armchair, and 32” Freeview TV.
Outside there are 2 small private lawn areas with table, chairs, patio umbrella, 2 reclining chairs, again with views down the valley and out across the bay. Guests also have the use of a half-acre meadow garden including bench seats and large pond. Nanteague has its own dedicated parking area within the courtyard. Sometimes there are cows in the field over the garden hedge, so occasionally there might be some 'agricultural' noises and smells!
Nanteague is one of four converted farm buildings within a courtyard setting. Two of these properties are also holiday cottages (Stable Cottage property no. 1841315, and Pond Cottage property no. 1839724, for couples only). The owners live in the other barn so are available to give advice and help at most times (including ferrying guests to the start of a one-way walk).
Due to a step up through a narrow front door and narrow staircase upstairs, this cottage is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or restricted mobility.
Rental includes bedlinen, towels, electricity, Superfast WiFi, free anytime telephone calls to normal landlines in the UK and 25 countries worldwide, and underfloor central heating for out-of-season lets.
Regret no children or dogs. Property is STRICTLY non-smoking.
