Charming updated industrial, rustic chic home in the heart of Big Bear. Close to everything in a quiet neighborhood. Features 1 bedroom with king sized bed, loft with queen and twin bed. It is perfect for smaller groups, and furkids (650 sq ft) . House has a extra large pet door leading to the fenced back yard. Deck overlooks great sunsets, and the spa. Short walk to the lake.
Covid Info 2/4/21- current date 2021- We are still permitted to allow guests into our home. Outdoor activities are operating (lift tickets purchase online, limited availability). Restaurants are only takeout or delivery. There are a few extra restrictions.
1-Groceries should be purchased at your local store prior to traveling. This will reduce the strain on our community.
2-Absolutely no parties.
3-Please follow and respect guidelines set regarding social distancing and masks.
4-Spa hours are 7A-10P (we don't like it either, but its a restriction placed upon us.)
Violation of the restrictions will result in eviction without refund.
Our strict cancellation policy is still in affect. Any cancellations requesting full refund, will need to provide proper documentation to the hosting site(SavvyBears, Airbnb, Vrbo). We will NOT cancel your reservation for you.
All requests to change date, must be done a minimum of 14 days before your stay. Prices may change due to change of date.
If you instant book, you assume responsibility that all restrictions will be followed. We will not be responsible for any eviction, fine, or inconvenience due to disregarding the restrictions placed for Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City.
Welcome to Dixie Bear Cabin! Just minutes from the Village, ski slopes and lake all the while tucked away in a quiet part of town.
We’ve recently renovated this adorable home. We love the rustic industrial touches with a splash of country chic. All the flooring throughout the home is waterproof.
Bedroom- Has a king sized bed, large closet, and a usb ready nightstand.
Loft- Has a queen, and twin bed.
Living room- Has a 50 inch smart TV with Roku, basic cable, wifi.
Leather power reclining couch with USB ports.
Kitchen- Gas stove, apartment sized fridge, microwave, toaster, blender, farm sink, all dishes, bakeware, utensils, and coffee maker.
Dining- Table seats 4. And is large enough to play games.
Parking- We have 2 level parking spaces. The home is located on a hill, you may need 4x4 or AWD during winter months
Yard- Bring along your furkid as the back yard is fully fenced with an extra large door just for them. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the back deck and enjoy the beautiful Big Bear sunrise and sunsets. Propane grill is provided. Propane tank swaps will be reimbursed with picture of receipt.
Hot tub- Large hot tub, for your use.
Fireplace- we do not supply wood; however all the fire tools are available.
We supply- All linens and cookware are provided. A starter pack of supplies are also provided (ground coffee, sugar, paper towels, trash bag, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton balls, q-tips, and treats for good pups!)
Bring yourselves, and food! You’ll enjoy all Big Bear has to offer.

You'll have access to the entire house, with exception to closet in loft.
We are hands off hosts. Most our guests are not disturbed by any of our team. We are always available for questions. Please do not text message us directly. It is not the most efficient way to get a response.
House is located on a hill, on a quiet dead end street. We know and love all of our neighbors, don't hesitate to say hi! A couple of them are full time residents.

Cleaning fee- $120
Covers basic cleaning and laundering of linens This does not cover if trash is left behind. It is a unique custom in Big Bear trash drop off is free. If you choose not to bring all trash to the refuse, there will be a $25 charge per bag the cleaners must take to the site. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Pets-We love all animals; however we only allow 2 dogs at this location. We do not charge any extra up front pet fees. The only pet fees charged is if they are not cleaned up after, or ruin something on property. Poop bags are provided. Any poop left behind is charged per pile. Any urine/poop in the home is also charged per spot. Please be respectful of our home and make sure to bring only well trained pups. accidents happen, please clean up asap. We do our best to provide a safe environment for your pets. However it is up to you to ensure their safety.
Refundable deposit $300
Check in as early as 4pm. Check out is 10am. Please be prompt. The cleaner occasionally shows up exactly at check out. There will be an extra $100 fee if they arrive and must wait or come back. They will not knock or enter the property until property has been vacated. We can occasionally accommodate early or late check outs; however they are VERY limited. Do not ask for early check in. If the home is ready before 4p, we will message you.
Please note in winter months: The roads are plowed regularly, but you may need 4x4 vehicle and chains. We are not responsible for any weather related travel issues.
Steve, maintains our hot tub after each and every guest. Be mindful of lotions, oils, and dirt when entering the spa. Excessive use or abuse will result in a drain, clean, an refill fee.
Thomas is very diligent about the snow removal during winter months. You will most likely run into him during your stay. They are non invasive, quick, and courteous.\
Reminder- This is the mountains. We do our best to control what we can. We spray and leave bait for pests, do our best to prevent rodents, and remove weeds throughout the year. Most of our homes do have sap producing trees.
There is one camera on property, it views the front door and parking.

Occupancy(3 including children and infants) and (2) car limit are set by the city. They will enforce these. If found to have more than we are licensed for, you may be evicted with no refund. So please adhere to these limitations.

It is a city ordinance, ALL trash must be taken to local trash dump site. It’s a city rule for short term rentals. Address included in check in details. Failure to do so will result in a per bag charge. No exceptions. (our homeowners abide by this rule when they stay)
Keypad code- City of Big Bear Lake requires their Good Neighbor Policy to be signed prior to gaining access to the home. The person booking the home MUST sign, no exceptions. Declining to sign will result in no access to the home, & cancellation of reservation with no refund. GNP can be found in our listing along with the break down of our agreement. Agreement is sent in a link for virtual signature in welcome message.
Code will be sent day of check in. Once the home is ready or at 4pm, whichever is first.
If traveling in winter, we highly suggest purchasing trip insurance! We have a strict cancellation policy and will stand by it. Winter months can be challenging with snow, ice, road closures, and other things. Cover yourself by purchasing the trip insurance.
No refund will be made for cancellation due to weather, road conditions, acts of nature, mechanical failures, electrical failures or malfunctions with spas, TVs or other equipment, or for sighting of insects, rodents, or other animals. No refunds will be made for circumstances beyond the Homeowner’s control. Rescheduling is allowed if all roads have been closed into the area for 24 hours of check in time. Chains are often required and should be always carried. They may be needed to get in or out of Big Bear or your rental.
Pets-We allow 2 dogs at this property. No other types of animals are allowed. there is no extra pet fee unless damage or cleaning issues arise from them. Will consider 3rd for a pet fee.
Cleaning Fee- non negotiable. This covers clean linens, cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen, floors, basic care of the home, and spa chemical balance. This does not cover left trash, excessive messes, and cleaning all dirty dishes. The home has deeper clean items that happen 2-3x a year.
Spa-is maintained after every guest. The cleaning fee covers basic chemical balancing. This does NOT cover if the spa is misused, resulting in a drain and refill. Best practice is rinse off before entering spa, no drinks in spa. Bodily fluid is the quickest way for the spa to need a drain and fill.
