Welcome to Esterly Hideaway! We are Pup friendly, with a fenced backyard, and a hot tub.
Hidden away on a quiet street, yet extremely close to the hustle and bustle. Walking distance to convenience store, bakery, and restaurants.
Fully stocked kitchen for most of your cooking needs. Bring yourselves and groceries! Full sized gas stove, fridge, compact dishwasher, for your convenience. Dish soap, paper towel, kitchen towels included.
All bedding provided along with 5 bath towels.
Covid Info 2/4/21- current date 2021- We are still permitted to allow guests into our home. Outdoor activities are operating (lift tickets purchase online, limited availability). Restaurants are only takeout or delivery. There are a few extra restrictions.
1-Groceries should be purchased at your local store prior to traveling. This will reduce the strain on our community.
2-Absolutely no parties.
3-Please follow and respect guidelines set regarding social distancing and masks.
4-Spa hours are 7A-10P (we don't like it either, but its a restriction placed upon us.)
Violation of the restrictions will result in eviction without refund.
Our strict cancellation policy is still in affect. Any cancellations requesting full refund, will need to provide proper documentation to the hosting site(SavvyBears, Airbnb, Vrbo). We will NOT cancel your reservation for you.
All requests to change date, must be done a minimum of 14 days before your stay. Prices may change due to change of date.
If you instant book, you assume responsibility that all restrictions will be followed. We will not be responsible for any eviction, fine, or inconvenience due to disregarding the restrictions placed for Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City.
The Home- 896 sq feet, waterproof flooring throughout. This home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, washer dryer. Fenced back yard, large pet door, and hot tub.
Bedroom 1- includes a king bed, and twin bed. Large closet and dresser for your clothing storage needs.
Bedroom 2- has 2 queen sized beds, armed chair, dresser, and closet. Extra blankets are provided in closets.
Bathroom- shower/tub combo. We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton rounds, q tips, and floss picks. We do provide limited hand towels and wash cloths. 7 bath towels are provided. (Not for lake use, please bring extra for lake.)
Washer/dryer- small stacked, we do not provide laundry detergent.
Living room- Reclining leather couch, 55’ television. Roku fora ll your favorite streaming apps, and basic cable.
Fireplace- We do not provide wood. It can be purchased locally.
Kitchen- Full sized fridge, and gas stove. Compact dishwasher to help you enjoy more of your time! Fully stocked with all utensils, cookware, and dishware. A starter pack of paper towels, and trash bags are provided. Along with dish soap, coffee grounds, sugar, and treats for good pups.
Dining- Located in kitchen, seating for 4.
Yard- Large dog door leads to the 5ft chainlink fenced back yard, with hot tub. Propane grill, and seating for 4 people. We provide the propane tank; however check upon arrival. It may need to be swapped. We will reimburse for the switch. (Lakeview Market is .2 miles)
Spa- 6 person seating. To be used only between 7A-10P per city.
Front yard- Parking for 2 cars. And a nice front porch to watch the squirrels play.
You have access to everything on property, except for shed in back yard.
We leave you to your vacation, unless issues arise. We are almost always available to contact.

We believe that expectations for both host and guest are met, when things are clear. Just some things to note.
Please respect our neighbors. It’s a very quiet street. We know most our neighbors.
Big Bear Lake/City requires an additional 11% for vacation rentals. It is sent directly to the city of Big Bear Lake.
Cleaning fee- $125
Covers basic cleaning, laundering of linens, and hot tub cleaning. This does not cover if trash is left behind. It is a unique custom in Big Bear trash drop off is free. If you choose not to bring all trash to the refuse, there will be a $25 charge per bag the cleaners must take to the site. We apologize for the inconvenience.
It also does not cover if traveling with a pet that pees in the house. We charge a per spot cleaning fee of $30. We bring a steam cleaner with special cleaner for any pet stains, it does take time. If your pet is not neutered, spayed, or tends to mark territory please be on alert. Also charges will accrue if poop is not picked up from yard. Also, pets that shed excessively will be charged extra cleaning fee. WE do our best to provide a safe environment for pets. However it is your responsibility to ensure their safety during your stay.
Refundable deposit $300
Check in as early as 4pm. Check out is 10am. Please be prompt. The cleaner occasionally shows up exactly at check out. There will be an extra $100 fee if they arrive and must wait or come back. They will not knock, or enter the property until it is vacated due to safety.
Please note in winter months: The roads are plowed regularly, but you may need 4x4 vehicle and chains. We are not responsible for any weather related travel issues.
Thomas is very diligent about the snow removal during winter months. You will most likely run into him during your stay. They are non invasive, quick, and courteous. We do not guarantee Thomas will be there before check out, or check in. He has his own route, but will be to the home at least once after a storm.
Steve, maintains our hot tub after each and every guest. Be mindful of lotions, oils, and dirt when entering the spa. Excessive use or abuse will result in a drain, clean, an refill fee.
Reminder- This is the mountains. We do our best to control what we can. We hire Terminix to spray and leave bait for pests, do our best to prevent rodents. Annual removal of weeds. Most of our homes do have sap producing trees.

Occupancy (5) and car limit(2) are set by the city. They will enforce theses. If found to have more than we are licensed for, you may be evicted, fined with no refund. So please adhere to these limitations.

Trash pick up day is Tuesday morning.
Keypad code- Upon booking, you will be sent a link to sign the required city Good Neighbor Policy. Further instructions will be provided on the day of check in along with door code at check in time. Refusal to sign the document will result in no access to the home given with no refund.
If traveling in winter, we highly suggest purchasing trip insurance! We have a strict cancellation policy and will stand by it. Winter months can be challenging with snow, ice, road closures, and other things. Cover yourself by purchasing the trip insurance.
No refund will be made for cancellation due to weather, road conditions, acts of nature, mechanical failures, electrical failures or malfunctions with spas, TVs or other equipment, or for sighting of insects, rodents, or other animals. No refunds will be made for circumstances beyond the Homeowner’s control. Rescheduling is allowed if all roads have been closed into the area for 24 hours of check in time. Chains are often required and should be always carried. They may be needed to get in or out of Big Bear or your rental.
Pets- Up to 2 dogs are allowed with non refundable $50 pet fee. No other types of animals are allowed. Additional charges would occur for excessive fur, damage, not being picked up after, ect.
Cleaning Fee-non negotiable. This covers clean linens, cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen, floors, and basic care of the home. This does not cover left trash, excessive messes, and cleaning all dirty dishes. The home has deeper clean items that happen 2-3x a year.
Spa-is maintained after every guest. The cleaning fee covers basic chemical balancing. This does NOT cover if the spa is misused, resulting in a drain and refill. Best practice is rinse off before entering spa, no drinks in spa. Bodily fluid is the quickest way for the spa to need a drain and fill.
Check out is 10am. Please be prompt. The cleaner occasionally shows up exactly at check out. There will be an extra $100 fee if they arrive and must wait or come back. They will not knock or enter the property until it is vacated due to safety.
