The house and location were great, and owner responsive. Spotlessly clean, and bigger than we anticipated. kitchen well-equipped. (Especially since we left some “house gifts” like spatula and scissors)
But in the months BEFORE our stay, we had some communication problems caused by VRBO, not the owner. They made it difficult to communicate with the owner who needed pictures of our passport — yet guests don’t have option of sending photos through VRBO platform, and try to block owners from giving guests their email address. Eventually solved, and that was only problem, and not caused by host, who was ver responsive.
One caveat: next time, if I were staying a longer time, as we did, I would have negotiated ahead about ability to have an over night guest or two. My husband and I rented for 6 weeks, and he was gone most of time, and we were both gone one week of the six. So I was in big house alone, that could sleep 5 or 6, but owner seemed resistant to idea in all that time that I could have a friend or two, or my sister, stay for 2-3 days. If I’d asked ahead, I think it would have been ok, but I wrongly assumed It would be without first asking.
Magnifique maison, très bien équipée et très bien située, des hôtes vraiment sympathiques et disponibles qui ont rendu notre séjour tout simplement parfait.
