Our modern, but charming, 1BR/1BA studio loft is located on the 2nd level of the building and looks over nearby restaurants and shops. The building has undergone a total renovation in 2019 to offer all the newest conveniences and modern comforts, while remaining true to the 1900's charm of the stucture. The original building was a Drug Store and the tile on the lower level entry facing W. Union St. still remains today. Suite 201 offers a fully equipped kitchen, large sitting area with distant mountain views, large bath with walk in shower, and comfy king bed. Large windows let in lots of natural light, original wood floors, and exposed brick were retained in the renovation process. The loft is also home to art, commissioned by local Folk Artist Charlie Frye of Folk Keeper Gallery, specific to Burke County Landmarks. The unit has cental heat and air, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster and microwave. All linens are supplied as well as toiletries, hair dryer, and clothing iron. Easy parking located behind the unit where there is private lighted entry. Parking directions can be given. Each guest will be given entry door codes to access the unit during their stay. Enjoy a day exploring Downtown Morganton or venture out to near by Lake James and hike the Fonta Flora Trail or Linville Gorge. Ask the owner about the many fun things to do and see while in Historic Morganton. The Burke County Tourism Office is just a block away.

Came for a wedding and stayed here. The loft is beautiful. The entire place was very clean , bed was very comfortable.Perfect space for 2 people. Easy access to a lot of shops and restaurants. The host was very easy to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay !

Morganton Stay

My husband I stayed here after our wedding for one night before our honeymoon. The property was very clean and the room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Great location in downtown Morganton. Would highly recommend this property!

Comfortable

Loved the place. Felt safe and liked how everything you need is close. One could stay there and never have to drive, until you leave. Beautifully decorated , loved the old look( Floors, brick walls) mixed with the new. Pictures of Pharmacy Lofts are accurate. . We enjoyed our selves and had no worries. Thanks for opening up you place and will definitely stay there again.

Nice place, historical, right in heart of downtown

The process was easy. The building was historical and had nice local paintings decorating the hall and apartment. The apartment had most everything you would need - fridge, Keurig, oven and stove. I had no contact with the owner in person and she has a good system for check in and out. There was another tenant in the apartment across the lobby but we didn't see each other much. The floor in the hall is old so you do hear the other tenant coming and going but it was minimal. It was a great experience.

I felt like I’d walked into a restoration hardware catalog. Very unique property , attention to details inside excellent. Well equipped in every way. Only negative is entrance area a bit run down, garbage totes steps from entry stairs. Smart key into unit a bit finicky, but in the end worked. (One other note: no cable/satellite as stated in description, means no “regular “ TV unless you have streaming account.)

An excellent property right in the heart of the charming town of Morganton. Not sure which I like more, the promise of further updates on an already delightful loft space, or the rustic charm that comes with the rustic “not quite finished” allure this rental provides. Either way, we loved our stay and would not hesitate for one second to stay here again

loved the location

Loved the location! Nice friendly town and great places to eat and drink. the town has weird hours though so many places are closed at certain times but that is how they are there. Loved the loft the only thing I would ask them to fix is the shower head. You need a new one, that's an easy fix. The other thing that they should do is file some of the brick nails down in the shower so no one gets hurt leaning up on the wall.

Perfect!

Needed a comfortable place to stay for me and my wife while visiting family in town over the holidays. The apartment is so comfortable - especially the bed. The location made for convenient walking to the square and shops. The space was a nice oasis with all the creature comforts. Will definitely be renting again for future visits.

Thanksgiving stay

In town visiting family. Location was great! Convenient for walking to the movies or restaurants. The Christmas lightts on the streets were an added bonus. Loft is a great mix of historical, industrial and contemporary. Very spacious and comfortable!

We had a great stay at the Drugstore Lofts! The apartment was clean and beautiful! Morganton was centrally located to Hickory, Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed a Friday night concert in Morganton’s central square. We will definitely stay again!
