The pond house is in a wonderful location to enjoy a little seclusion. The pond is full of fish that will literally follow you around waiting to be fed. The home has all the basic needs and everything works as it should. We enjoyed our stay and communication with Joey was quick and easy.
We were very happy. It is a cute little house and very spacious the way it is layed out. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. My husbands favorite part was the pond, he loves fishing and he was able to walk right out the door and do so. I enjoyed sitting outside at night and listening to the bullfrogs
Very nice. Interior completely up to date and very clean. Outside still needs some landscaping but pond view/access was great. We needed to do some minor housekeeping upon arrival ( empty dishwasher) and a few cooking items were missing. I bought measuring cups and spoons- just small things. Manager was very responsive to anything we asked about. Overall very comfortable and nice.

Pond House
The house needs some help to be a little more comfortable for guests. Having a little grass outside to cut down on the dirt coming in would be great, a bath mat, door mat or rug to help the floors not be gross would be helpful. A larger television in living space would be great. ALL of the ceiling lights turn on and off with no dimmer or control… it’s all or nothing in the living room. The bathtub was dirty with soap scum that I could write in and only one mostly full roll of TP and a tiny backup roll. I would also suggest a small stand or table in the bathroom to help having somewhere to put toiletries. Walk hooks in bedrooms for towels would be good idea as well. The outdoor space wasn’t set up well to make it feel special…. Lastly, the power went out for a few hours but luckily it was late so we were heading to bed anyway.
This is the cutest little house. Everything is updated and clean. We needed a quick trip close to Hickory - we loved this place. I wish this place was closer to our home town. This is a perfect getaway escape.
The house was very cute and fit what we were looking for. The listing was slightly misleading as it made it appear as though the house sat off on its own, but there is a property right behind the house that overlooks this house, as well as another house right across the pond.
The house was clean for the most part, but there was a very distinct wet dog smell, and there were tufts of dog fur on the couch.
We would have preferred the wifi password be listed with the check in information or available at the house, but the owner was responsive when we reached out to ask for it.
Overall it was a nice stay, but there were a few things that could be a bit better.
Property is perfect for a little getaway. Home is very comfortable and quiet. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The property manager is a pleasure to work with also!! Will definitely be staying again when we come back to see our daughter!
