Book now for a spring or summer trip

Welcome to Selah! Beautiful new log cabin, with lake access. The cabin sleeps 8; A master with an ensuite bathroom, including a walk in shower; Two bedrooms upstairs; one with a queen and a twin; the other with a queen and a twin bunk overhead. The upstairs bedrooms share a full bath. An additional half bath is in rec room on lower level. Great WIFI reception and rec room complete with 64" flat screen TV, 7' pool table, foosball and game table. The back deck is perfect for that early morning cup of coffee, as you overlook the treetops. Enjoy a relaxing night indoors by the wood-burning fireplace, or by the fire pit outside. Grill out burgers and dogs, and enjoy on picnic table on the back porch.

Perhaps you'd prefer your burgers w/a view.... grab the potato salad and grill out at the numerous picnic spots on the lake at the end of the road. Lake Rhodhiss is the perfect recreational lake, for kayaking, boating, and swimming. Visitors love the peace and quiet of this pristeen lake. Don't worry, you'll get hooked on all that tranquility!

And if your idea of a great day involves taking a challenging hike- head out to nearby nearby South Mountains State Park, and its 80 ft. waterfall! Check in with the visitors center there, and they'll direct you to more than 40 miles of trails; for hikers, equestrians and mountain bikers!

The cabin is conveniently located within minutes of the towns of Hickory, Lenoir, and Morganton. So, whether you are picking up groceries, or catching a movie; enjoying a leisurely dinner out, or hunting for bargains at the many nearby furniture outlets, there's plenty to do nearby! Additionally, the cabin is ideally located for day trips to Charlotte, Asheville, and the Blowing Rock / Boone areas, approximately an hour away.

So whether you're coming to get away from all the noise, or load up your day with activities- you'll enjoy your time here at Selah!

We stayed for a long weekend to be close to my daughter as she went to prom at NCSSM. The location of the home was wonderful. This house is beautiful. Sleeping accommodations fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The property manager was prompt and very easy to communicate with. We will definitely return!

Lovely log home lodging

The location was great, central to many activities. The house works great for families with lots of sleeping spaces, areas for adult conversation, a whole floor for kid's entertainment and relaxing outdoor spaces. The kitchen was well equipped, and the place was immaculate.

Fabulous place!

Why they chose this property

Selah is a chance to catch your breath, to pause in the peace and quiet and reconnect with those you love. We hope this is a place where memories are made and you are able to relax and find time to be still. This cabin is set on 4.5 acres of beautiful property, at it's border is a stream, just a short walk from the cabin. The running water is soul soothing. We love to hike at South Mountain State park, and to spend a day on Lake Rhodhiss. I grew up on a lake, so it feels like home to me. This property includes a dock and boat access. Please inquire if you would like to bring your boat or would like information on local boat rentals.

What makes this property unique

This cabin has all the amenities of home, granite countertops and walk in showers, a wood burning fireplace. Sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee soaking in all the peace and quiet, staring over the pine trees made us fall in love with this place. When we hiked the property and came upon the beautiful running stream that was when our hearts knew this place would be our home away from home.
