Periwinkle in Paradise has four (4) full bedrooms with four (4) adjoining full baths in the Sand Point neighborhood with restaurant, bar, pool, hot tub, beach boardwalk and golf cart access. Yes that's correct! each bedroom has its own full bathroom, which is the perfect family setup for two to four couples with children or grandchildren, or even one to two couples with or without kids in the off-season. This luxury Sand Point beach home sleeps 12 on one king, two queens, four twin bunks and a sleeper sofa. So call your best friend and round up your families to start planning that beach getaway you so desire and deserve. Your entire group will absolutely love the beach home you just found. After all, who wouldn't want to stay in Paradise? It could very well be the most comfortable home in Sand Point.

Oh! and speaking of Sand Point, the Sand Point neighborhood is in town at marker #9 on the beach next to Beach Lodge (NOT way out of town, so far down Hwy 361 you can't even get a pizza delivered). In fact you'll only be a mile from the downtown area. The neighborhood offers a relatively large private pool and hot tub area exclusive to Sand Point plus a VERY SHORT private boardwalk and path over the dune. So there's no hiking or driving necessary from a home you just thought was close to the beach. If you've ever stayed elsewhere you know what I'm talking about. But even if you don't have first hand experience in what I'm saying, why chance it? Stay with us at Periwinkle in Paradise in Sand Point and here's another great reason why.

Sure most places have a coffee maker, and maybe a toaster but do they also have a blender, can opener, shrimp deveiner and remote controls that actually work? And are they fully stocked with complete cookware, dinnerware, glassware and silverware along with complete bedding linens and towels for the number of guests the home accommodates, as well as brand name dish soap and laundry detergent, body wash, dishwashing detergent, coffee filters, trashbags, paper towels and high quality toilet paper all purchased by moms that care, for moms that care? Additionally, we are THE PRIME LOCATION for SandFest which is an international sand sculpting competition held each year in April. We're staying right next to SandFest at Periwinkle in Paradise in the Sand Point neighborhood with restaurant, bar, pool, hot tub and direct beach boardwalk access to fun!

There's also a very popular restaurant in the neighborhood just steps from the home. The Beach Lodge serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual setting right on the beach. In fact its the only place in Port A to get a pot boil crab dinner and beer on the beach.

Had a great time at this beach house. Plenty of room for everyone and we spent a lot of time on the balcony space; always a nice breeze there. Deducted one star on cleanliness because we had to sweep the balcony & clean the balcony tables & chairs before we could use the space. But once that was done it was marvelous. Otherwise the place we very clean, well equipped, and nicely laid out. Great location near beach & pool. Would recommend and re-book in the future. Thanks!

The house was nice and roomy. We had 6 adults in our party and it was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house was very clean and the manager was quick to help if needed. Being so close to the beach and town was a big plus. Only thing negative is the small table for dining, it is not big enough for number of people the house will hold.

Family vacation trip

We had 3 teenagers and 6 adults and this house was perfect for our group. This was the 2nd time for a family trip to Port Aransis (last visit was 2015) but the kids said they liked this property because it had 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. We had everything we needed for cooking meals and enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings. The beach was very close and although we only used the pool once it was super close. Thank you for providing a stocked home to make vacations enjoyable to large families.

Great place!

This was absolutely perfect! The house was very well stocked with everything you need for day-to-day, clean and well furnished. We stayed with my parents and our two little kids. We could easily spread out in the two bedrooms downstairs and still have plenty of adult and family space upstairs. The beach really was very close - close enough for a four year old and me carrying an infant without getting tired. Great location, great house. Thank you!!

We have stayed in several houses in this neighborhood over the past few years and have enjoyed it every time. It’s a great neighborhood with perfect access to the beach and pool! I will say this is the only property where we have had to go elsewhere to get the house code ( usually it’s just texted to us) however that was not a big deal at all. It makes sense that you would want to see who is renting your property! Overall we had a great stay our teenagers enjoyed having the downstairs to themselves and going to a fro from the beach was a breeze! We would stay here again and recommend for sure!

Great beach vacation

The layout of this house worked well for our family. One daughter and her family had the downstairs bedrooms each with a bathroom. The other daughter and her husband had a bed and bathroom upstairs and my husband and I had the master bed and bath. There was plenty of seating for dining and in the living room area. We especially enjoyed how easy it was to get to the beach even with young children and the pool was nice too. Matthew is a super host. He communicated with us before, during and after our visit making sure we had everything we needed.

Sleeps 12 with a bathroom for each of the 4 bedrooms. Kitchen nice & large with all the amenities. Decks are nice...with a sliver of an ocean view. Access to nice beach area is a short, easy walk. Photos accurately show property. However, living/dining area is small...one small couch & 4 wicker chairs...dining table that seats 6 adults/maybe 8 children. We had 8 in our party, so it worked out...but if there had been 12 of us, it would have been very inconvienient. Pool was very close...the size of a backyard pool...serving approximately 20 large beach homes. Homes were very close together.

Great Stay!

We were very pleased with this property and Matthew was very helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay here again, we had no complaints at all! Our large group of 12 had plenty of room and every bedroom having its own bathroom was so nice! There were sand toys and even a sand box that the little kids absolutely loved, the use of a wagon for the beach was awesome too! The big kids loved having the pool close by and we loved being able to walk to the beach with our coffee to see the sunrise. The only recommendation I have is for there to be instructions on how to set the thermostat, it took us a while to figure it out and it was a little frustrating that first night to keep coming back to the thermostat when it seemed hot again and it was back to 78! But once we figured out you had to actually set the schedule it worked perfectly and kept the house nice and cool our entire stay.

Periwinkle in Paradise

We've made the trip to Port A multiple times, this place by far met our expectations. Conveniently located close to attractions & a short walk to the beach for days of fun & relaxation. A couple notes to the homeowner. The bathroom Tub off the kitchen area drains slow & the knob to the shower is a bit difficult to turn on. The Master bath toilet runs throughout the day & evening. Other than these small nuisances, your home meet all our needs. We plan to be back to Port A in the Spring.

Rude Property Manager

Unfortunately before our trip even started we had issues with the property manager, Matthew. First, it may be helpful to know Port Aransas is a little different than most vacation rental destinations. Usually, the host just gives you access (code to the door), no personal check-in required. Port Aransas has guests check-in in person which I assume is to limit college parties. This is where I can assume things went wrong. I initially asked Matthew if my son who's 20 y/o would be able to do the check-in process since I wouldn't be getting there until very late the day of check-in. His initial answer was to say he could check us in late, instead of answering the question directly. I then asked if my 28 y/o daughter could do the check-in. Again, instead of answering, he called my cell to say he would check us in at 3am if need be. I asked again about my 28 y/o daughter checking us in. He kept bring up my son and then said we were "sketchy and he was going to cancel the reservation and we could stay somewhere else with our 8 dogs". We were bringing 3 dogs - just goes to show some of the pettiness. The whole phone conversation caught me off guard. After I hung up, I was unsure if we needed to find another rental. Since our phone conversation went so poorly I sent another email. Matthew responded via text that he wasn't going to cancel our rental, no apology, only stating "Apparently we have a miscommunication. Let's start over." "Self entitled customers have been crapping on us all summer. And after 100 days in a row without a day off at 16 hours a day. We're tired." I reiterated via text that I'm simply trying to workout the logistics with my family as we're all arriving at different times. Finally after more back and forth, he agreed my daughter could do the check-in. Bottom line, all of this could have been avoided. As far as the place goes, it lists ocean view which is not a lie. You just have to go up an outdoor staircase and lean over the railing, but technically you can see the ocean from up there. The description is correct about the property having supplies, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. Similar to other vacation rentals, there's hodgepodge of garage sale worthy cookware. Just don't let the description give you any illusions of this rental being fully stocked with everything you need. You still need your own beach towels, shampoo, coffee, charcoal, etc. We had no issues beyond check-in.

The house was perfectly located near town. The best was the beach access. The house had plenty of bathrooms, outside shower station and comfortable inside. The kitchen was well equipped for our meals. We would stay here again.
