The Clos Chassepline Dovecote

Le Pigeonnier is an outbuilding of the Chassepline, located at the bottom of the park, sheltered from any noise pollution, between the orchard, the meadow, and the pool area. It was renovated in 2017 by us to combine modern comfort with the charm of old stone.
The house is located in a park planted with perfectly maintained centenary trees, it is a place that invites you to rest, relax and discover nature and animals, while being less than five minutes on foot from the food shops in Saint-Aignan. The pool area, enclosed by walls, is located at the bottom of the park, a sunny and wonderfully quiet corner, away from nuisance. You will only hear the birds, the rustling of the trees and the lapping of the banks of the Cher which runs along the property. The place is ideal for enjoying rest and calm in a magnificent setting!

The house is 80m2, spread over 2 levels. On the ground floor there is a fitted kitchen open to the living room and upstairs, a landing leading to the separate WC, the bathroom, and the two adjoining bedrooms.
Outside, a private outdoor lounge for lunch in the sun in the park. Swimming pool in season, from the beginning of May to the end of October, to share with the other dependence of the Chassepline as well as its two guest rooms.
The first bedroom is equipped with a Queen Size bed.
The second bedroom, through, is equipped with 2 twin beds convertible into queen size (mattress topper provided).
In the living room, a 140x190 convertible sofa is very comfortable and can accommodate up to two people.
All our beds (except convertible sofa: Habitat ©) are fitted with Tediber © mattresses, including children's beds.

Inside, exceptional brightness magnified by blown glass, parquet, velvet and linen panes, everything is there to make you feel at home.
From your bedroom window, you can admire the park where the free-range chickens roam, and a little further on, the Castle and the collegiate church of the town of Saint-Aignan.


Le Pigeonnier is located, like the Maison du Passeur, in the Clos Chassepline property: a green setting of three hectares on the banks of the Cher, at the crossroads of three provinces: Sologne, Touraine and Berry. It is located opposite the medieval city of Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher, and offers a breathtaking view of the Castle and the 12th century Collegiate Church. A late 19th-century mansion, the Chassepline, in which two guest rooms are available for rent, overlooks the park.

You will have full and uninterrupted use of the entire house during your stay. In addition, the Pigeonnier has a private entrance, a reserved park area equipped with an outdoor lounge, as well as access to the Clos Chassepline swimming pool in season. You also benefit from free private parking and the center of Saint-Aignan is reachable within a 5-minute walk.

Outside the park, a meadow shelters a white donkey and several ewes including two of Ouessant and a Solognote, typical species which is the object of plan of safeguard. Behind an old stone wall, the Chassepline vegetable garden is renewed each season to offer seasonal vegetables and an orchard offers a fine production of old varieties of apples, pears, peaches and cherries.

For groups of 8 to 14 travelers: we offer another accommodation (La Maison du Passeur) located in the Chassepline park. The two houses are ideal for family or friends gatherings, thanks to the large living room of the Maison du Passeur, where you can meet around a fireplace and a large farm table that will know easily accommodate large tables.
