About this property

A cute cottage with a rustic, railway theme. Amazing views from sunroom and deck. Onsite laundry and wood stove for those winter evenings.

Close to Quincy, Lake Almanor and Lassen National Park. Great for hikers, bikers and nature lovers.

The cottage was built in 1926 and totally renovated in 2020.

The sun room and deck have great views of the mountains and are perfect for entertaining. There is a gas bbq and string lights.

Note - every 4 hours a freight train rolls through town and blows its horn.

Great Spot

Some co workers of mine and myself stayed here for work and it was great. Had all the accommodations needed for a weekly stay. Host was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed! Would recommend!

Historic Charm and Character

Our 4-day stay in this old railway cottage was wonderful. The train theme runs through the whole railway cottage, from the old photos of history of the area, model trains and an train scavenger hunt which is brings out the inner 5 year old in all of us. The owner's enthusiasm for restoring the surrounding properties, including the historic hotel and the general mercantile store is wonderful to see and helps to keep this hidden gem of a town alive. It is quaint and relaxing especially if you are a rail fan. If you like to feel the train go by, this is the spot for you!

Laid back, easy livin

The views are incredible, the cottage cozy, and the people unpretentious and accommodating of our large family and pets.
